I am an educator and fiber/mixed media artist. I live with two cats in Oregon. The kids are away and thriving. Daughter is starting her career in public health in Georgia. Son is studying theatre arts and music.

As a fiber artist, I'm into crochet, beading, dying( tie dye, batik, dye painting), and embroidery. I've dabbled in art quilting and needle felting and punch needle work. I also like collage, drawing with Prismacolor colored pencils and ultra fine line permanent markers. And, I make ATCs.

For clothing, I favor black, grey, russets, burgundy, dark green, purple and teal.

To look at, I like bright happy colors; jewel tones; deep oranges, fuchsia, purples, dark green, teal,etc., in addition to the colors I prefer for clothing. I'm not much into pink. I also like woodland colors with mauve/soft purple.

You could "Be the Match" and have the unique opportunity of saving someone's life.In case you're wondering, marrow and stem cell donation is done while you're alive. It's much simpler than giving someone a kidney.

This is an issue that is very close to home for me. My daughter had bone marrow failure disease received a peripheral stem cell transplant from a donor in the registry in July 2010. Her donor is in Germany!
