RECENT 3's I got very sick back in July and was away from Swap-Bot for a while. A lot of my swaps went out very late and were rated as 3's. I did not flake on anyone, though - just some late sendouts. Hope you all understand.

Hi! My name is Serena and I was born and raised in Las Vegas but recently moved across the country to New Jersey! My fiance and I moved here after getting engaged and he got into Columbia University. It has been a great adventure so far and I am so proud of him! I commute into and work in NYC - so things can get a bit hectic sometimes. We are deep into planning our wedding for June 2024!

I started bullet journaling after I was diagnosed with cancer at age 15 (I am now 8 years cancer-free WOO!) to keep track of my weeks after having bad chemo-brain and to have an outlet for my feelings and emotions during a traumatic time. I LOVE my journal, although my style and regularity have changed throughout the years. My current style is more junk journal with entries rather than keeping track of my calendar. I love being able to use up stickers and paper to make a cohesive spread, and then fill it with my thoughts! (Poppy's Vintage Journal on Youtube is a great example of what my spreads look like. Although, I dont stick to just vintage.)

I am fortunate enough to have been surrounded by family and an amazing support system through treatment. I could not have done it without them. Now, I am even luckier to have a career at a nonprofit - it is so fulfilling and rewarding.

Aside from my journal and swapping, another big and important hobby to me is my plants. I have many house plants that I love so much and enjoy getting to see their progress. My plants did well in Vegas, but they are thriving even more in the east coast humidity! I am so excited to watch them grow and fill up the apartment.

My fiance and I have been together for 5 years and are so excited to be planning a wedding! We love to cook together and have been loving thrift shopping! There are so many good finds at the ones near us.

I really enjoy cooking as well. I HATE cleaning up after so luckily I cook and fiance cleans :) Trying new recipes is so fun and I love trying ones recommended to me! I recently thrifted a brand new bread maker and have been OBSESSED! We make fresh bread every week and I have recently even started making homemade jam! Truly the best thing I have ever purchased.

I like to receive anything! Mostly I enjoy stationery and things I can use in my junk journal. Any kind of stickers, washi tapes, paper, cards, etc! I DO NOT enjoy planner/teacher stickers or ones with characters, not really my thing. My journal is more collage/themed and I do not use or like planner stickers very much.

I really love vintage stationery sets and strawberry themed items! If it’s vintage and strawberry, even better!

My favorite color is green. But more of an emerald or hunter green. I also enjoy neutral browns/vintage styles. I love any spooky/Halloween/witchy theme but also love bright, colorful florals. No need to worry about what I don't like, as long as it is not religious or political, I'm sure I will like it.

I have a very eclectic style - maximalism all the way!Life is too short to not use or buy the fun colorful things.

Music is something I love so deeply. There are just too many artists/songs/genres to name! I love:

My fiance and I have a growing vinyl collection, too. A lot of them couldnt make the move with us but we are slowly getting them. We love to find classics but also love the colored pressings of our favorites.
