There is no design that can not be realized as something new and different. Among all things - life is not static. As a part-time creator and a full-time seamstress, I have tried to make things as flawless as possible. I enjoy a challenge!

I graduated from UW-Madison with a B.A. in Costume Technology and have been sewing solo for many years. My clients range from individuals with custom pieces to commercial avenues with distinct guidelines and images.

I love making things - especially new projects.

Fantasy is my love! Currently, I am doing a lot of reading in the YA section of the sci-fi/fantasy:

• Eragon
• Sabriel by Garth Nix (and the rest of the series)
• Game of Thrones
• Mistborne series (Brandon Sanderson)
• Discworld books
• Harry Potter

I usually listen to upbeat music with Jimmy Buffet being my all time favorite ... I am a parrot-head at heart. I also like Great Big Sea and spend a lot of time listening to pseudo-folk, sea chantey style music.

I am an avid enjoyer of musicals - from Mama Mia to Wicked. I like something I can sing along to. The Last Five Years is a personal favorite of mine.

I don't watch much TV since we have not had any cable for over 7 years... but I do enjoy some series that I have gotten on Netflix such as the Forsythe Saga and Jeeves and Wooster.

I also watch American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance with my friends at their houses. Project Runway is by far my favorite reality Show.

I also enjoy anime - I have a tattoo of Hinata from Naruto on my right shoulder. Naruto and Bleach are the series that I have watched the most of.

--I collect blue bunnies/rabbits in all forms - from sculpture to plush!

--I am an avid mushroom lover; I am an amateur mycologist and love them in any form I can find them. Non-traditional mushroom representations are the best (so things other than just toadstools)

--I also love snow globes especially from places I have not yet been. I have a small collection (replaced after a fire seven years ago, where I lost everything)

-- I also collect dragons. I prefer them to not be the angry, demented type - something calm and strong in the face makes a much better dragon.

I prefer color in jewel tones - dark rich greens, reds and blues. Something the pops because it is a rich color. I am also okay with earth tones but am not a fan of pastels or really bright rainbow colors.

My eldest son, PJ has just gotten into swapping and likes to make ATC's. He is currently 9 years old. Main interests are superhero movies - batman, iron man and teen titans; books like Harry Potter and Eragon and also video games. He watches Naruto a lot and also like fantasy things like dragons, wizards and magical creatures.
