About Me

*****NOTE: My mail is currently on hold at the post office because we are remodeling our house, so I will only be able to go get it once a week, sometimes even 2 weeks. This leaves me with quite a stack to go through and rate. I always rate, but I am a bit behind right now. So, if you have sent me something and I have not rated you for it yet, I apologize, but I will rate you! If you need me to rate you asap because you are new or are re-building your rating, please send me a message, and I will make sure to get to you first!*****

I am a mother of a 2-year-old. I work in IT, but I do portrait photography and craft sales on the side (Check out my crafts website! I'll be creating an etsy site soon!). I want to do all crafts, but right now I mostly do paper crafting. I hope to learn to sew, crochet, and knit soon!

About me and my family...

We love sports. My husband is originally from Boston, so we are a Red Sox family all the way. For NFL, he loves the patriots, I am a Packers/49ers split fan. I am a huge LSU tigers fan!

Our initials are L (me), W (my husband), and A (our daughter).

We do not even own a coffee pot.

My husband and I both work in IT, so our house is VERY technology-centric.

My husband loves to cook, so spices and mixes native to your area are very welcome! (I do not cook well, but I bake!)

I love earrings and jewelry, but I don't make my own.

My daughter does not have enough hair bows! Feel free to send her some!

We are not religious and do not want any religious themed items, thanks.

I always need home decor items... I like neutrals like brown and tan with burnt orange, sage green, etc.

My daughter's room is Alice in Wonderland themed -- the disney cartoon version. Anything for her room is very welcome!

Favorite Crafts

Paper Crafts:

Most of what I do is paper-centric. I make cards, tags, favors, etc. I LOVE stamps and ink pads, so I can never get enough! I have a cricut, but no other die-cut or embossing machines. I welcome punches (preferably larger, but small ones are great, too!) and embossers (that work alone, not in a machine). I can not keep enough acid-free glue sticks... I buy them in bulk and use them all lol. I can never have too much ribbon! I like rub-ons, but I don't use stickers much any more (I prefer stamps to stickers.. or even just print-outs lately). I always welcome new paper and cardstock desgins!

Felt:

I am just starting out in the felt world, so everything I do is still a big rough. I would love to get various felt pieces large enough to be usable (probably 4x4 or bigger unless they are specific shapes). Any templates or guides are welcome, too! If you prefer a specific type of thread when you make felt crafts, I'd love to try it out, too! If you have any ideas on how to make things sturdy, send them on! Like I said, I am all new to this, so I'm pretty much open to anything!

Gifts:

I love making cute gifts, so raw supplies are welcome. I can't get enough shrink wrap and cellophane. Gift-able items that I can decorate are great, such as fuzzy socks, candy, small vases, etc. I also use a lot of E-6000, so that is gold to me. Cute office supplies such as colored paper clips are always useful (large/jumbo or giant are preferred). I can't ever find good, fine glitter that I can justify buying, so if you have any good glitter containers that came with a color you wont use, feel free to send it to me!

Vinyl:

I LOVE using Vinyl. I appreciate any and all vinyl pieces I can get my hands on. I use it to decorate crafts or to create a stencil for etching on glass, so even if the pattern or color of the vinyl is ugly, I can still use it!

Stamping:

I use stamps all the time, so I welcome any rubber or acrylic stamps (or stamping blocks). I also love getting inks, especially Staze-on ink.

Other:

I am open to any and all crafts, so if you like it, send it on!

Entertainment

Music:

I love music... pop, country, classic rock, and broadway musicals. I have quite the variety! I especially love Stevie Nicks, No Doubt, Tom Petty, Alanis Morissette, and what I call "pop-classics" like Love Shack.

Movies:

I like comedies, dramas, and suspense thrillers. I love theater and that carries over into film.

Books:

I don't read much, since my 2 year old gets most of my time and attention, but I do love to read. I enjoy pretty easy reads and deep stuff. Dan Brown is my favorite Author, but I also enjoy John Grisham, Kaye Gibbons, and Nicholas Sparks. I also like to read Richard Dawkins and similar non-fiction books.

TV:

I like the Office and 30 Rock. I love stand-up comedy. I only record 2 shows on my DVR: Modern Family and Real Time with Bill Maher.

Theater:

I LOVE theatre... especially Avenue Q and Wicked.

Likes and Dislikes

Things I will definitely love: - Staze-on Ink - Rubber or Acrylic Stamps - Ribbon - Vinyl Sheets (with adhesive backing) - Felt Sheets - Cricut supplies - Food/snacks native to your area - Spices/Mixes native to your area - Cardstock - E-6000 - Earrings - Handmade felt toys for my daughter (such as a felt tea party set or felt food... anything that encourages pretend play) - Anything Red Sox or LSU Tigers themed. - small (1x1 to 2x2) "tumbled" tiles - Any sized tin - Desk accessories for my office (including magnets, since that is the only way to hold things on the wall of my cube... weak magnets will not stay, though) - Notebooks/Journals, especially with a good pen. - Drawing supplies (drawing pencils, even just random out of a set, or drawing paper) -cynical/athiest/anti-religion quotes or comics. -intelligent humor.

Please Do Not send: - Coffee - Anything Anime or cartoon-ish themed. (I do like cartoon-ish stamps, but not scrapbook papers and stickers). - Lotion or hand sanitizer. (I do like bath items or other scented things, just not lotion) - Religious items, including those with "inspirational" prayers or crosses - Friendship Books - Anime

Comment: I received a small flat rate box, not an envelope, and while some of the stuff was fun, it wasn't paper stuff.

Comment: Very pretty inchies...I know you're new to this, so fyi: next time you might want to double check the size! They were rather bigger than an inch, but could be trimmed down nicely to fit in with the others in my collection,so I have no problem with them at all. And thanks so much for the thoughtful extras as well!
Response: Thanks! Sorry for the size... I tried to make them able to be resized bc I couldn't find my paper cutter to cut measured squares.
