Hello from New Jersey!

I am a high school English teacher at an all boys’ high school and lucky to have a job I love, love, love. I have a husband, two grown sons (out of the house), and three little dogs-- Archie, Georgie, and Sully. They are brothers from the same litter and move as one unit. They have long lashes and serious underbites; I adore them.

I grew up in Alabama and am a big Alabama football fan.

I love all things vintage, and as a result, very much enjoy junk journaling. Over the years I have accumulated a good collection of old papers, books, photos, ribbons, beads and the like. My favorite artist is Maxfield Parrish.

True to my occupation, I also love reading. I am currently making my way through The Count of Monte Cristo and enjoying it! I am particularly fond of F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeeck, and Flannery O’Connor. This however, doesn’t stop me from loving horror novels (and movies) of the supernatural genre, and I am a big Stephen King fan.

In addition to the above, I also like to cook and occasionally bake. I play around with watercolor, though I am not particularly good at it!

Football is top of the list for me-- watching, not playing! I enjoy both college and professional football. Roll Tide and Go Eagles!

I enjoy being outside-- autumn is definitely my favorite time of year. Of course I love Christmas and have a beloved college of vintage Christmas decor which started with the little items in my Grandmother’s house that I remember from my childhood. I try to find the occasional treasure at a thrift or antique shop.
