Hi! Thanks for dropping some kind words on my profile page! I checked yours out too and we have many things in common. I absolutely love Vonnegut. And regarding Women Who Run With The Wolves, I'm usually a fast reader but I've been on this book for almost two months. It's truly nurturing and necessary soul-knowledge for women and you must take time to really READ each page; there is so much information in every story and myth she describes. I have so many tabbed pages that I plan to transfer into a small journal for daily encouragement. As for travelling, the minute I hear someone has interest in it, or admires what I have done, I am so eager to push them to get out there as well. And the best advice I can give to anyone is to do it while you are young and able. It looks like you don't have children, so the only thing holding you back is you. Even if you are in a committed relationship, a supportive and healthy partner would encourage you to go do it for yourself, and an amazing partner would do it with you. Unfortunately, I lost my boyfriend for taking 3 months to travel. He didn't want to join me, and was upset to see me go, but in the end, pushed me away for it. That outcome hurt temporarily, but I now see was meant to be. Lack of time and money are the poorest excuses because you will never "have enough", and the idea of having to leave a current job will never be more important than the education and life experience you will get by hitting the open road with your own itinerary. You will have to let me know what you think about the book. And I hope to hear some future travel adventure plans from you. :) Haha.
I read on your profile that you have Siberian Forest Cats, aren't they awesome? :D I have a Norwegian Forest Cat...I just love all that fur and the poofy tails and the very interesting characters :-) How old are yours? Loki will be two in october and he has been growing like crazy lately... anyway, just wanted to say hi :-)
That was sweet of you to think of me at the zoo. I've never seen a sloth in person. We have one at the Knoxville Zoo, but I haven't seen it yet. I think we're going next week, so hopefully he'll be out and about, so I'll see him. I hope their gift shop has some slothy goodness (or maybe not because I've got bills to pay lol).

I am glad you like the Cardinal mug rug. I do miss seeing them where I live now and know they do not fly west of the Rockies. And as for the memory they evoke for your Grandmother...that blesses me even more. May you feel her presence watching over you with great love.
