Adventures of the Traveling Postcard #69
Swap Coordinator:mdkrouwel (contact)
Swap categories: Postcards
Number of people in swap:78
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Last day to signup/drop:September 1, 2017
Date items must be sent by:September 9, 2017
Number of swap partners:1

IMPORTANT: I am on holiday from end of July till end of August. That is why there is a 2 month period of time in between round 68 and round 69. I already started this swap in case I might forget to start a new one. ;-)

PLEASE NOTE: Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wouldn't it be great to send a postcard and see where it had been all around the world? Then get it returned back to you after its adventures were over? Let's do it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Choose a card. A card that you think people would enjoy seeing (however, PLEASE DO NOT USE EXTRA LARGE POSTCARDS THAT WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE!). Put your name and address (including the country!) on the right hand side of the card. Put the title of the swap ("Adventures of the Traveling Postcard") and your screen name at the top of the left hand side. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE and send it off to your partner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just write your name, username, city, state/country, on the left hand side of the postcard you received in the previous round. Put it in an envelope and send it to your partner! (DO NOT WRITE YOUR ENTIRE ADDRESS ON THE POSTCARD - THIS TAKES UP TOO MUCH SPACE!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hang on to the postcard(s) that you receive in each round. We will have another round each month. Sign up when you receive yours from the previous round, start another one in rotation, or contact me, as I may have a postcard that needs to be put back into rotation as well! When the left side of the postcard is filled up with the names and cities of those that have received the postcard, the last person will stamp your actual postcard and send it back to you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1.) Please don't send more than 3 cards per round. Hang on to the extra ones and send them in following rounds. If you have too many, please contact me.

2.) Before sending out the cards to the next person, do check if the cards belongs to someone who is still participating. If they are not, please contact me about it.

3.) If you decide to stop the swap, please contact me so you can send your received cards to me and I can keep them in rotation.

4.) Do NOT send the postcard back to the original owner until the left side of the postcard is completely filled unless instructed otherwise. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT SENDING YOUR PARTNER'S CARD BACK TO THEM AS PART OF THE SWAP ROUND YOU'RE ON.

5.) Do not destroy, bend, write on the front of, or ANYTHING else that destroys the integrity of the postcard. Treat the postcard how you would want yours treated.

6.) Do not send huge cards! It requirers extra postage! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed) and I will ban if I feel that you may be a questionable swapper. I want to do my best to ensure that everyone receives their postcards back. So don't join if you don't think you can commit to it for the long haul. I will be checking EVERYONE'S profile and will ban anyone that I feel like. Thanks and happy swapping!

I'm sending on postcards from Charlotte Huntley, Cindy Scott-Turner and Paula Parker in this round.

If you have a postcard from me (Catalina Groth), could you please message me to update the name and address on it?

kimryuu 07/10/2017 #

Hello. I'm new to this whole swapping and would love to enter this one. But I don't quite understand how you can get a partner. I would be glad if somebody could ease my confusion here.

EmilyT 07/11/2017 #

@kimryuu I just left some helpful info for you on your profile. You are not able to join this swap yet as you need to complete 50 type 2 or 3 swaps...for example that is postcard, card, letter, package/craft type swaps.

I was signed up for this swap but for some reason I no longer seem to be. So I have been trying to re-join it but won't let me for some reason. I have #68 and want to keep it in circulation. Please help before sign up deadline. Thank you in advance.

EmilyT 08/30/2017 #

@piratejimbob87 a lot of us like to read which PCs are being passed on and if they're being sent home then again that they arrived.

EmilyT 08/30/2017 #

And on that note, I'll be passing on a PC from Vicky E from IL.

piratejimbob87 09/ 1/2017 #

This is my first time in this swap. I received the name of a partner and I sent a new card per instructions given. However, now I received a traveling postcard from someone else. Who do I send this one to?

EmilyT 10/ 1/2017 #

@londoneve sign up for the next round, you send to that partner. I'll pm you, too.

spinjenny 11/10/2017 #

I have just realised that I never marked Sent on this swap even though my swap spreadsheet shows that I sent it on September 9th, so I've marked it now.
