Im de-stashing some of my craft stuff. Its a little mix of everything in a 6x9 envelope. In order to win you have to be my partner assigned to me when I assign partners. All you have to do to enter is write one comment about your crafting adventures during lockdown. Have you tried something new, have you completed something let us know!! This is an elctronic swap because I am the only one actually mailing anything to send to your partner.

I will not put a rating requirement to enter but to enter you must be in good standings. This means no recently unexplained ones or threes. If your new you must have at least one rating of a 5 and a well fill out profile at least 10-15 lines. I will be checking profiles before partners are assigned.

Please make your comment by the close date of the swap which 5-14. With this said you will rate your partner a 5 as long as they have left their comment by the assigned date. If you are my partner and you do not have a comment by the last sign up date of 5-`14 I will randomly choose from someone that has actually read the rules and commented.

Recap: Im the only one actually sending something so this is why its an electronic swap. All you have to do to enter is comment about your crafting adventures during qurantine comments must be entered by 5-14 in order to count any comment date stamped with a 5-15 date will not count and can mean a bad rating as the date is apart of the swap requirements.

I hope all is well for everyone :) Usa only at this time as shipping is not allowed for some packages to certain countries from the USA.

Thanks for the giveaway! As for my recent crafting adventure, I actually just started making tags and have discovered that I absolutely love it! It's a good way for me to get creative with a small amount of space to work on :).

feminista 05/10/2020 #

My biggest crafting adventure during lockdown is altered altoids tins! I ended up making 3 before I found one I could part with for a swap. Plan to make many more.

I've been doing my favorite craft of crocheting but have finally attempted amigurumi. I have a quite funny looking half stuffed dog to show for it so far.

Lately, I have been experimenting with vintage style ephemera and paint. I made my daughter a really pretty Victorian painting last week. I love to paint and this is a good time for arts and crafts.

megan1230 05/10/2020 #

I've been so surprised by how much I love ephemera!!! Journaling has really helped with anxiety and ephemera is like icing on the cake!

emmajo 05/10/2020 #

Thanks for the giveway! I think im addicted to sewing masks, I have recently discovered.

PerArduaAdAlta 05/10/2020 #

I have honestly been organizing my craft area/office (like everyone else!) I am doing ink blots, making art and cards out of colored or collaged squares, making envelopes, drinking tea πŸ˜†. Mostly organizing my spacev sent it feels great. Oh! And today I took an area and turned it into a desk for the girls to work with me! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

I have been experimenting with different styles of crafting-mostly envie decorating. My washi tape collection is exploding (I think I have a small problem lol) I have been having so much fun making and decorating envelopes as well as making loaded cards, pocket cards, and putting things together for swaps! This site, the community, and crafting has really been getting me through this time.

For the first part of the quarantine, I spent a lot of my time upstairs in my craft room working on ATCs and organizing. The later part, now that is a different story...lol!

I got a phone call on 4/20 from my hip surgeon's office. They called to let me know that the hospital let them know that they were allowing them to schedule surgery again and wanted to know if I wanted to schedule. So...I had hip surgery on 4/23. Before that I scrambled around getting a cart of supplies together to take downstairs.

Since then, I have been making envelopes, decorating envelopes, and collaging envelopes. I've also been doing a lot of fussy cutting from magazine pages and scrapbook paper.

creativeseconds 05/11/2020 #

I completed two online scrapbooks on Mixbook! One of a family vacation and one of my daughter and her best friend as a graduation present, and they both turned out great :)

BrendaB 05/11/2020 #

I have been crafting my little heart out during this time. I've made 2 junk journals, 3 micro mini journals, 2 mandalas, many cards and much more! Thanks for the fun give away :D

Rabbitfreedom 05/11/2020 #

Spent the first month organizing my craft room- for the second month, I did some Halloween card making and made 2 Halloween wreaths. This past week, I started a paint by number that is taking forever and may just take the rest of quarantine to finish! Thanks for hosting a fun swap, be safe and well everyone!

lynnpinkdaisy 05/11/2020 #

I have been doing a lot more journaling and using different pieces of ephemera, especially vintage ones. I've been finding new ways to repurpose packaging and papers. I've found out that I really like color with my vintage pieces! So cool!

macka 05/11/2020 #

I have been trying to make homemade birthday cards and have started up trying to do swap bot again. By saying trying to do things again I am now having kemo for the fourth time and it 's harder on me this time than before. I am trying to keep busy, healthy, safe and hope everyone else is too. Good Luck to everyone!

Kittybob83 05/12/2020 #

I have really gotten into swapping. I've been doing this a month, and have been making things I dont normally make like cards and atcs. It's been so much fun getting mail everyday. I'm working now on a junk journal to store all the pretty things I've recieved. It's really made me go thru some things I havent touched in a while. It's been fun.

laurenaraya 05/12/2020 #

thank you so much for hosting, you're awesome! I personally have been trying to improve my art skills lately! I also just started getting into ephemera which is fun!

Ilovemybabies7 05/12/2020 #

What a great idea =D Thanks for the opportunity to join. During this time I have been revisiting the crafts I love and don’t have enough time to do on a regular basis. I have been painting rocks, making junk journals, crocheting (trying new patterns out), and thinking about starting a cross-stitch.

JJcrafty 05/13/2020 #

I have completed many journals during this lockdown. It has really helped with anxiety and nervous energy. I also bought some digitals to help me learn more techniques. Example a mini book, a folio. Look forward to learning and completing more things. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies!

Prettyexpressions 05/13/2020 #

I've been making jewelry using succulents! It's getting warm here, and my succulents are abundant, so i figured, why not?! I sell them locally, i havnt figured out how to keep them alive to mail 😞

Thank you for the lovely opportunity! Good luck everyone!

beachchicken 05/13/2020 #

This is a fun swap idea! I have been organizing and cleaning out my craft room, and starting new art/craft things. I have done a painting of a beetle, started doing little water color paintings, and since I am back on swap-bot I am addicted to ATC's and now as of yesterday mini pocket letters.

AZmom875 05/13/2020 #

I have been hosting swaps during my "time of boredom, during the great Toilet paper scarcity" Some were electronic and some involved making atcs. I hosted one called Coronavirus, my life in 6 words. You had to make an atc, and only use 6 words. I also hosted an electronic swap here. They 6 word stories were funny.

I also took my CVS, receipts, (how many CVS receipts does it take to reach the moon? answer 4). So those are made from Thermal paper. I painted them with spray inks. Then hit htem with a heat gun. It turns some unpainted areas black, The results are gorgeous. I made 13 Shoe themed APCs with the papers.

I also did a destash challenge. I do them often. I sent 14 players an envelope of destash items, they all got some painted thermal paper. The players each got one atc from me as well. I continued on my 6 word theme and most of them got cards with the words, Grey roots, until the quarantine ends. see Flickr

I baked about 6 loaves of bread, 2 in the oven and 4 in my bread machine. Done with that boredom buster. see Flickr

I planted a ton of seeds that I got from my seed library which is closed. I spray painted the envelopes that some of them came in. See Flickr.

I found 100 circle coffee filters for a percolator. And spray painted those to give away in a destash envelope swap. see Flickr.

You can see photos in my flicker account link in my profile

During lockdown i have found a use for a lot of things i thought were junk. so there's that. I have gotten better at cardmaking and am learning how to use my "good" markers lol

FeltPrincess 05/13/2020 #

I have been doing a mix of crafty things off and on. A few weeks ago, I started making a set of crochet cat toys that are food themed. :) I have also made some envelopes from old book pages, and I drew some preliminary sketches for some fabric dolls I want to make. :) Good luck, all!

Aalicia 05/13/2020 #

During lockdown I have written many letters to my pen-pal in Sweden I have learned how to make matchboxes envelopes, just putting a little things together for my cards embellishments Etc I've also been doing my diamond painting which I really love is like my fourth one thank you

Aalicia 05/13/2020 #

But to be fair I'm just starting out and I could really use some DTS craft stuff from somebody else

marclively 05/13/2020 #

I know for a guy this is going to sound goofy, but I have so much ephemera that I have started cutting into smaller pieces that will fit into a normal envelope. I don't exactly craft with very many except I have a very unusual paper cutter. It has a special blade that when I cut my scraps it gives them a deckled edge. Thus giving an antique look. I also make bookmarks.

jenlamp20 05/13/2020 #

I have been doing at least one type of art project a day during this stressful time. Art is my life saver, I suffer from chronic pain and I use art to help me with the pain.

vcox 05/13/2020 #

I'm still working full time and I have to go to work. So I'm not crafting any more than usual. However, since my sister lives in Illinois, we have not crafted together. So I've been doing more swaps on swap-bot. So during quarantine, I've hosted a few swaps. I've joined Instagram today. I still haven't figured out how it works. But I would have never done either of those things. I wish I could organize my craft room. At some point I'm going to have to destash as well. I think this is a great idea and may ask to host my own in future.

kolasx 05/13/2020 #

With lockdown and classes switching to online, I have more time to read and craft. I've been sketching again! And I made my first attempt at an ATC (which I'm still shy about). I even brought out my sewing machine for the first time in months to sew a few scrunchies for the summer. I'd like to do more, like crochet and bake; but I still have to work and leave time for studying.

brooklynboo 05/13/2020 #

I feel my craft time has been cut in half. But I'm loving having my baby's home. we are planting a garden at the moment. We have made sun catchers out of glue, and sooo much more! I'm enjoying every moment and making the best out of this! yesterday we had a home made spa day!

michlove 05/13/2020 #

I've had more time to craft with my husband home to help with the kids. I've been hand stamping my own stickers, experimenting with scrap clusters, embellished paper clips, pressed botanical bookmarks and just enjoying this time in general. Mail feels as if it's at a crawl, but I'm glad it's moving at all! Thank you for the giveaway!

captkristi 05/13/2020 #

Thanks for the giveaway!! I've have been painting so much! I am still working - but all from home so I don't have the commute. I recently ordered a 22 x 30 piece of watercolor paper and am working on a "proper" painting for my TV room. Eek! Actual art to hang on the wall - made by me. I am super excited.

bostianh 05/14/2020 #

Thanks ablev92 for the giveaway!😍 I have been crafting mostly paper crafts. I have made several embellishments, a few cards and envelopes, and have kept up with my pen pals. During all of this happy mail has been a light in many lives (mine included) so I have been trying to spread cheer via the USPS.

ChelseaStarleen 05/14/2020 #

What a fun and thoughtful swap! Thank you for hosting and for giving me a chance to rant about my pandemic arts and crafts. lol While we were stuck at home I took a crack at watercolor painting, which actually is much harder than it looks, but also a lot of fun. I spent about a week making some awesome cutouts, stickers and card making materials for a giveaway on here with my Silhouette Cameo 4 the hubs got me, and I have been playing with my sewing machine a lot too. I can't get enough of stitching paper, Idk why but its so much less stressful for me than sewing fabric (cost probably has something to with it lol). I am also getting started on a Junk Journal for a swap I am hosting as well, even though I am now back to work full time... its hard to quit once the crafting bug bites.. lol

cynaemon 05/14/2020 #

I have finally memorized "It Is Well With My Soul." As it is one of my most favorite hymns to play you would think I would have done this years ago. I can probably play over 100 songs by heart, so don't know why I hadn't learned this one. Other than playing my piano I have been writing, well, my elve has been writing, and of course I have been faithfully recording everything he says. If I don't he stomps through my brain. He especially likes to do this at 3 AM. Darn elve. And I have been doing some art journaling. My BFF just brought me two boxes of art supplies, so I will also send my partner an envelope full of things.

snailmailbella 05/14/2020 #

Thank you for the giveaway! I’ve been learning to be more resourceful with supplies I already have since going to the store isn’t an option right now! I have also started painting bookmarks for my penpals!

Ace330660 05/14/2020 #

I have been working on my junk journals and a few swapbot swaps during this quarantine. Thanks for the giveaway.

Snaileditcrafts 05/14/2020 #

What a fun giveaway! Thank you for hosting. I have actually made my first recipe junk journal since being quarantined. My mom also got me into making ATC's (I had no idea what they were before) and now I am hooked! I have joined, and am currently hosting, ATC swaps. It is probably my new addiction.

Mindy82671 05/14/2020 #

Paper crafting, paper crafting, paper crafting! I’ve been making tag flips, pocket letters, ATC’s, embellishments and more! Crafting is my therapyπŸ˜ƒ

EverydayAngels 05/14/2020 #

Thank you so much for doing this... what a lovely idea. I am trying to tap into my creativity and learn new artistic modalities. I must saw crafting is addicting, especially all the ephemera and amazing journal supplies. I just wish the crafting stores were open so I could browse and buy and collect. I am hoping to learn how to make ATCs and junk journals. I am also finding myself browsing through youtube videos about crafting until 3am... my hubby thinks I am crazy, but I am loving all this newbie fun.

user2148 05/14/2020 #

What a fun swap! Thanks for your generosity 😁 I have been using my extra time to try and learn watercolor. I’m signed ip for 4 online classes and am working through them slowly. I am not much good, but every once in awhile something will turn out like I expect.

Besides that I’ve been working on my swaps with my favorite groups. I try and host once in awhile as well. One of the swaps I’m doing is a 6 month journal in a Georgian character- long project but fun!!

ablev92 05/14/2020 #
