Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Amy and I live in Missouri.
I have a little family that consists of my Husband and our 4 cats: Aranel, Trinity, Gracie and Slinky.>^..^<
I confess...I'm addicted to buying paper crafting supplies/trinkets of all kinds on-line and at the stores with or without projects in the works!
I went to college for fashion design and fashion merchandising. Now I work full time doing none of the above. I work with domestic and international companies/factories.
In 2009 I was diagnosed with cancer and my Husband and I could not start a family due to this awful disease, so it's just us and our furry kids! We are one full, happy (most of the time), kid-free, crazy cat household! Since being diagnosed I have become a dedicated participate of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and each year I make a new crafty item to sell as a fundraiser (one year I made 300+ soda can tab bracelets and raised about $1,500.00 which was awesome)! If you have any crafty inexpensive/ easy ideas I would love to hear about them.
Even though I was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, I also had my '15 seconds of fame'. I submitted a project to the Zutter Bind-it-All Around the World contest and I ended up being a runner up and my project was published in the book and it was shown on the back of the Zutter Display-it-All retail box packaging as well!
I believe in waiting until the partners are assigned before putting my swaps together. I try to figure out what my partner would enjoy receiving, even if it doesn't have to do with the swap theme-I love to add extras and hope I can make someone smile. I put a lot of thought and time into each swap.
I am a very reliable individual and do not like to let people down, so if for some reason your package gets lost I will be glad to replace it. I do get tracking numbers for all my packages that I send out.
I love work that has been thought out, neatly done, clean and not just thrown together.
My favorite craft is making paper bag OOAK books for people. I don't really scrapbook with photos, so I guess it is more paper crafting. The books are made for people to insert their memories of photos, to journal in and whatever else they may want to include.
I started creating these books for my gifts to people and then it became a part time hobby/job. I've created baby books, wedding books, school photo books, mother's day books, cancer survivor books, friends book, color themed books and holiday books etc. I also try to sew as much as I can on my books, it gives the books more character.
Please feel free to look at my Facebook page to see some of my art/work-what I love to do!
I recently started making the small matchboxes and really enjoy trying to make them as 3d as possible. It's also a fun challenge to try and fit as much fun stuff as you can in such a tiny box!
I'm not much of a bookworm, but I did love reading the Twilight (Team Edward) and Harry Potter books. Ok and I will admit I read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy...that Christian Grey WOWZAA!
RIBBON/Bakers Twine/Fibers-You can add ribbon to anything! I'm thankful for all ribbon, but please don't send small snip it's like 2" - it's really hard to do anything with small pieces.
Love Halloween, it's my favorite holiday! Cats and witches are my favorites! All my cats are gray, so I really love gray cats!
Vintage Halloween anything.
I really like the primitive/vintage/worn look crafts, but not country stuff.
Owls and red foxes
Washi tape-Halloween, cats, any holiday related, vintage florals, ones with words like Handmade with Love etc. I prefer washi on a roll, so please do not send on a card unless it's part of the swap.
Paper straws
Embellishments of all kinds! Flair pins, unique brads maybe holiday or some type of season theme and fancy stick pins.
Bunting/banners
Vintage items (love vintage silver bracelets). Vintage Halloween would be even better! I don't wear gold jewelry, so please nothing gold.
Clear glass jars/vintage tea cups/antique metal muffin trays to keep embellishments organized.
Anything Kelly Rae Roberts especially her canvas art and Melody Ross stuff I love!
Favorite colors-Black, grey, canary yellow., white..just recently I have seen a lot of red and teal together and I really like those colors together!
Silver jewelry-mostly bracelets I love the look of a ton of bracelets on your wrist. I do love vintage jewelry, especially vintage silver charms for my charm bracelet. Again, I don't wear gold jewelry.
Tiny treasures, I think that is why I love to make whimsey jars...its a challenge when shopping...what tiny item can I fit in there and how much can I fit in there!
Milk chocolate molasses puffs, skittles, churros, cupcakes, donuts, red velvet cake and Honeycrisp apples with peanut butter and mini chocolate chips (my favorite breakfast or snack)! Oh and I love hot cider in the fall!
Please please please nothing with rodents-mice and/or rats. I don't like them one bit! Ick!
Not into country decor
No teacher/kids/award/Disney/cartoon stickers
No paper scraps (I have enough of my own and I use them to decorate/label my packages).
No bookmarks, no religious items, no make-up or perfume items (lotions, body sprays, candles, etc.), no coffee or tea please (of course unless it is a tea swap-that's ok) and not a fan of receiving all items from the dollar store in a swap!
Please no cooking, baking or gardening items, I don't do any of the 3.
Not a fan of glitter! I have some and on items too, but glitter ends up everywhere once it's let out of its container!!! :)
Please nothing that smells of smoke or smells musty. I haven't been on here long and have already had to pitch several items due to the smell. Sorry I have to even put this.

How's my favorite swapper doing?
Happy February Birthday from the USA Paper Crafts group!
Thank you, Amy, for the wonderful RAK. I love these K & Company journal pockets!
Amy, can't thankyou enough for the awesome RAK I just received from you! Absolutely full of wonderful things. I will take what I'll use and add some goodies then offer it up again. Great idea!
THANK YOU for the great RAK of the card files. I already have filled one I was fortunate to find at a thrift store and I am ready to work on more. So your RAK is simply perfect. Congrats on your 5 year and lets stay healthy! Take care.
WELCOME to the APDGroup ;-)
You are an officer so you may host us some fun swaps! ;-) Happy Swapping NEW YEAR!!! Blessings, cc

I'll be sending out your stocking (this week) that I forgot to include in your package.
