My name is Liz and I am a 48 year old mother of two teenaged boys. I work with special needs kids and love my job. I work at the local middle school doing everything from teaching small groups to supporting kids in mainstream classrooms to supervising community service projects. We have six great cats. I can't remember a time in my life that I did not share my home with at least one cat. We also share our home with the best dog ever, Lacy-lou.

I LOVE to read. I especially love anything written by Elizabeth Berg, Alice Hoffman, Jodi Piccoult, John Irving, Augusten Burroughs, Wendy Mass, Markus Zusak to name just a few. I also love to read short stories, poetry, essays, and magazines and newspapers too! I have a strange love of other peoples lists, agendas, and schedules. I love reading journals, diaries and really long letters, especially if the are written to me! And zines, I can't get enough zines!

I have two sons, Nate who just turned 19 and Josh who will be 18 in January. I have six cats, Dot, Phyllis, Remy the Remcat, Mr. Guy Smiley, Padme, and Annikin (Little Orphan Annie) I always carry a book, or two, a journal, a sketch pad and several different writing utensils with me wherever I go. I have a rather large 'purse'. I love a mailbox full of letters and postcards!

Some of my favorite things: Paper, stationary, sharpies, especially the skinny tipped ones, watercolors, beautiful photographs, postcards, colorful envelopes, bookmarks, post it notes in different colors. Colored pens and colored pencils, and stationery sets. I love all animals, especially cats, rabbits, prairie dogs, tigers, lions, and polar bears and birds, all birds. I love nature, the colors purple blue and aqua and flowers. I also love to read all the time everything from novels, poetry, short stories, magazines and essays.

After swapping on here for the last few months and trying out many different swaps, I have come to the conclusion that I am not crafty. I have zero craft skills and that's ok. The medium I work best in is words. I love to write stories and poems, letters and journals.

Anything dark and creepy, Halloween, anything girly and overly pink, cartoon or Disney stuff, anything geared towards little kids, any food or drink things
