"Whatever you are, try to be a good one." - William Makepeace Thackeray
I was born and raised in the beautiful and mountainous western Maine. I am humbled by the majestic natural beauty of the land that is my home.
After having coached gymnastics for ten years and owning my own gym for the last 5.5 of those years, I decided in December 2020 to change my career. I've taken a couple of short-term jobs in the meantime while I try to decide what I want to settle in the meantime. I spent a year working as a USPS clerk and would be happy to answer ANY USPS related questions you may have, or even if you want to nerd out. I LOVED that job, but the system is so dehumanizing.
I rate honestly and fairly in accordance to Swap-bot policies. The rating system is meant to help keep people honest and fair with their swaps. Admittedly, I have high standards and am highly selective in awarding hearts. Ya gotta really wow me for that heart. I think, if used properly, the hearts can really help differentiate the quality of one's swaps. Please do not take it personally if I do not reward your swap with a heart.
Please don't throw any extra stuff into swaps to me unless you talk to me first. I'm really not looking to add to my stash. I realize most of us strive for those hearts, and hearts come from me for nice high quality artwork, not from some memo sheets tossed in.
I am approachable but will not tolerate any abusive language directed at me. I expect all interactions on Swap-bot to be handled in a professional manner. If someone cannot/will not speak to me with respect, no matter the issue, they will be immediately blocked and I will no longer be willing to discuss the matter with them. I am highly intelligent and hold a master's degree in education so please don't talk to me like I'm stupid or make up elaborate stories.
a non-exhaustive list of bands/musicians whose music I love: Air, Beth Orton, G. Love and Special Sauce, Zero7, Groove Armada, Wax Tailor, Tori Amos, Boards of Canada, Fun-Lovin Criminals, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Dylan, Shawn Lee, Johnny Cash, Rancid, Jurassic 5, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Bill Withers, the Flaming Lips, Social Distortion, Cake, Lemon Jelly, William Orbit, Four Tet, the Postal Service, Beck, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Wu-Tang, the Budos Band...
I haven't been a huge reader in recent years but with more free time than I've had, I've been slowly picking up books and reading them. I enjoy mainly non-fiction (true crime, social issues, biographies, autobiographies, memoirs) but I also enjoy dystopian tales (like 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, The Giver, etc).
I am entirely in love with decos and slams. I have been swapping them both for two decades. I feel a pull from my soul to work on decos/collage on a regular basis. Just how I envy a lot of my dancer friends who move and dance daily, that pull they have for dance is what I feel for deco. I wish I had that same pull to dance like they do. Pre-COVID, I was an up-and-coming burlesque performer and had been a performance dancer since 2018.
Decos, Slams, Lyrix (if they still exist...)
I love to receive stickers but am not a fan of swapping them.
I take great pride in my artwork. Everything I make will be of good quality and I prefer the same in return. When you rate me for a swap that was handmade by me, I would love to hear what you think of my work and appreciate it if you took the time and care to do so.

Your Two (2) Postcards in an Envelope Tag! arrived today. Thank you for the great postcards and the Longfellow notecard. His "Song of Hiawatha" was adopted by Minneapolis founders for street names and such and now the city is rife with Hiawatha this and Minnehaha that. As if they didn't have enough of their own Indian names here. They are slowly being recovered.
Welcome to the Electronic Swaps Group!
Thanks for the great profile based Happy Mail envelope for the Swap Tag US...loved it all!
I’m so jealous you live in Maine!!! I visited once on a two-week camping trip and I hiked the beehive trail. It was gorgeous at the top, but no treat getting up there LOL! I love your list of bands you listen to!! Definitely a wide variety! :) I hope you have a wonderful 2024 and I hope your swaps bring you happiness this year!!!
Hi! Thanks so much for joining my Profile comment swap, I appreciate it! I enjoyed reading your profile and see we share a band that we both love and that would be ... "Creedence Clearwater Revival", I've loved that since I was a kid and still love their music. My absolute favorite of theirs is the Lodi. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend! 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for the sunflowers for my birthday (April CPG wishlist) which I forgot to acknowledge when I received it.
Thank you for the CPG April wishes of floral postcards! These will be great for my Elderly project. My family loves to visit your state, lately almost once a year. We love the beauty of it! From the coast line to the mountain area. We have been North of Greenville or the western side. Hope to get there toward Fall again. Thank you for thinking of me!
Thank you so much for the SF postcard - love it!! And the artist cards are great as well! (Via April CPG wishlist)
Thank you SO VERY MUCH for the Awesome CPG April wish! The stamps were so appreciated and the selection you sent was amazing! They were a great addition to my collection. Again, thank you for generosity.
Thanks so much for the postcards. I am honored to have a part of your brother's collection. You were so kind to send them to me. Enjoy the rest of your month! (CPG April wishlist)
