I am late on a few swaps right now! I apologize, I'll be catching up as quickly as I can, I was sick and got behind! If you want to know the status of a swap, send me an e-mail and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
I work from home and have been for over 5 years now. I have been crafting since I was very little and went to an art based high school and studied art and graphic design in college.
I currently live in Tillamook Oregon, which is on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in the Northwestern United States. I've lived in Oregon most of my life, though I used to live in Portland.
I love working with poly clay, but I dabble in lots of crafts (fiber art like spinning and felting, scrap booking, sewing, book binding, lace making, painting...the list goes on!)
On a regular basis I:
~Sew clothing in the Japanese lolita styles using mostly cottons or twills, plus cute trims and buttons.
~Sew animal themed polar fleece hats with embroidered faces.
~Sew plushies in mostly food themes with cute faces from minkee type faux fur fabrics.
~Crochet cute animals and use round black beads or safety eyes on the faces.
~Sculpt fake sweets and animal charms from Fimo clay (I prefer the "soft" line)
~Sew purses from cute new fabrics or interesting vintage (I sometimes cut up old dresses and drapes)
~Applique and bead designs for skirt hems
Check my store, DeviantArt and Flickr for photos of some of my crafts.
Things I love: ~Cute stickers (especially sticker flakes from Japan) and deco tape
~Cute Japanese printed cotton (brands such as Kokka, Cosmotex, Decole, Echino, Trefle and similar) with motifs such as sweets, mushrooms, pandas, hedgehogs, strawberries, fairytales...the list runs on!
~Decole (Decolello) brand little red riding hood and wolf theme (also called "Otogicco") though I like almost anything from Decole.
~Rilakkuma
~DomoKun
~Cute memo paper
~A good pair of scallop shears for fabric would win a big heart from me (but unless you have a vintage pair you don't need, that is a pie in the sky request!)
~Beads in pastel colors (and shapes like stars, hearts, bows, candy or rounds)
~Coffee (and coffee cups) San-X coffee cups are the cutest!
~Wool felt
~Hedgehogs and red spotted mushrooms
~Glitter
~Cupcake, cookie, candy and sweets themed items (such as charms and sticker...not actual food!)
~Fluffy yarn
~Clover brand sewing notions
~Strawberry themed items
~Bento gadgets and boxes, chopsticks
~Tasty and cheap vegetarian recipes (or good recipes for fish and seafood)
~Buttons
~Lace and ribbon
~Large jingle bells (ornament size, colors are great!)
~Japanese fabric (or other cute printed fabric)
~Polka dots (especially red with white)
~Decoden supplies: flat back resin cabochons, pearls, molds, fimo soft clay, eta.
~EGL magazines: Gothic and Lolita Bible, Deco Alice a la mode, GosuRori (with sewing patterns) or any other similar magazines
~Japanese craft books (I love ones for applique, felt crafts, plushies and softies, casual clothing, deco craft, kimono dressing, sewing purses and bags, crafting cute bento and so on)
~Alice in Wonderland items, tea party themed items, coffee themed items, Red riding hood themed, eta.
~Re-ment sets
~Needle felting
~Red, bright sky blue, pink, creamsicle orange, and other pastel-brights
~Pretty much anything that is cute and craft related is right up my alley! I also like well-made hand crafts in pretty much any medium, and I collect sketches people send me with packages :)
These are things I wouldn't be excited to find in a swap...I don't want to sound overly picky, but I figured this saves disappointment.
Please avoid sending me: ~Anything Clown or pierrot themed (or anything that resembles a clown)
~Scented or perfumed items (I am not allergic, but sometimes they trigger headaches) Even lightly scented items can be overwhelming at times, so please save them for someone who will enjoy them.
~I do not smoke, and cigarette odor bothers me, please take care if you smoke!!
~Alien themed items or anything horror themed...just not into it.
~Not a big fan of dotee dolls and other "whimsical" crafts, I prefer more polished pieces even if they are very simple over a detailed piece that is made quickly. If your not sure what I mean, send me a note. Also, please don't take this personally! I just don't want someone pouring their heart into something if I won't love it.
~Other than packaged teas/coffee, I would prefer not to be sent food items. I don't eat much candy or snack food. I do like cute packaging though, so items in cute tins or pretty re-useable containers are fine.
~Not into angels, religious items, raggedy ann, "country" decorating, cross stitch, shabby-chic, or most things in that vein of style.
~Not into goth, rave, or Hot Topic type style
~Sloppy crafts...I know not everyone has loads of skills, but please, stick to what you do well! I would rather get a SIMPLE craft you put TIME into than a complex craft that was slapped together too quickly.
I love Project Runway, Friends, The Simpsons, Futurama, Martha Stewart, and That 70's Show
