I am married with a teenage son. I work in health care part time and do a bit of volunteering in my community in my spare time. My house sometimes feels like a small zoo as I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a gerbil and 3 chickens. I strongly believe in the concept that random acts of kindness make the world a better place. I love to ride my bicycle and enjoy being outdoors. I'm looking to make new friends all over the world and I love surprises 😊

I like all sorts of music from pop to classical but I love a bit of rock. I grew up with my parents listening to rock and roll, big band and trad jazz. Musicals are also a bit of a guilty pleasure.

Historical fiction is my favourite genre to read but I'm partial to a good murder mystery too. Fantasy and humorous novels can often found on my bedside for a change. My favourite authors include Elizabeth Chadwick, Diana Gabaldon, Barbara Erskine, Terry Pratchett, Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell, Ann Grainger. I'm always up to reading something a bit different though.

I'm a sucker for kids animated films and I'm gutted that my boy now thinks he's too old to accompany me to see them. Thrillers and fantasy, just like my reading preferences, are always a good choice.

I don't watch much TV really as I've usually got something else better to do! I do like a good cop show though like NCIS, Criminal Minds, Elementary, or Bones. Travel shows are fascinating - I'd love to travel the world. I also like shows that make me laugh too.

I just love crafting but my favourites are cross stitching, jigsaws, colouring, sewing, baking and button art. I'm researching my family history too. I've just discovered the joy of Pinterest and now I've got all sorts of new stuff to try out - I just can't decide what to try first. I've started to make ATC's, thanks to Swap-bot and I love the fact that they are made to share :)

Hiking, Tea - always have time for a cuppa!, Rainbows, Butterflies, Recipes - I'm a baker, Flowers - daffodils and poppies are my favourites, Cats - got 2, Dogs - especially Spaniels, I have 2, Chickens - my kitchen is covered in them!, Maps - love,love,love, Flags, Beautiful landscapes, Anything cherry or lemon flavoured, Jelly sweets especially sour ones, Old photos/newspapers, Pencils/pens, Inspirational/uplifting quotes, Postcards - any PC but I do like to see where you live, Pretty paper/ note cards, Fabric, Buttons, Ribbons, Favourite colours - green, yellow, turquoise/aqua blue, pink and purple.

Religious stuff unless it is photos/pics of old churches, stained glass, or the like. Disney - love the films, just don't do the promotional bits that go with them. Coffee - hate it with a passion! Dolls -bit creepy. Strongly scented items - sometimes gives me migraines.
