UPDATE: Sept 12, 2015... Hi my fellow swap-botters!! I appreciate all the kind thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. My condition has not changed. I am continuing tests, labs, and Dr visits along with many assorted medications to see what helps. We all have something that ails us and for whatever reason, this is mine. I am not up to hosting or participating in swaps yet, but I wanted to stop in and say hi.

On another note, we have moved. We bought a house south of Portland, I love it. I have been spending much of my time outside. Gardening, and getting close to mother earth, it seems to soothe the pain as long as I am not bent over. Luckily, the home we bought had 4 raised beds all ready for planting! In Oregon, everybody has a green thumb! I am slowly unpacking my craft stuff. I have yet to find the addresses of my pen-pals. Sorry for the delay, I will write when I find them, feel free to message me for a quicker response. Here is my new address for any Bags left traveling.

1-28-2015 Hello, swapbotters! I am taking a break from Swapping. I thought I would be back soon, but it seems as though I need additional time. I have been dealing with Chronic headaches since 2012.

The neurosurgeon I spoke with today is the latest of the dozens of drs I have seen over the past 2 1/2 years. After reviewing my spinal tap last week, he is now sure I am suffering from Pseudotumor cerebri (SOO-doe-too-mur SER-uh-bry) which occurs when the pressure inside your skull (intracranial pressure) increases for no obvious reason. I injured my head in the pool on June 2012 and thinks I developed Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. Even after Botox and IV treatments at Mayo Clinic and every medicine and test on the planet to check for tumors and obvious reasons, I am still suffering my constant head pain. He said I could have developed a blood clot and that it what is causing the pain that increases with stress, lifting, bending, anything that raises my blood pressure. He has ordered a second MRV which is an MRI of the veins, to see if there is a blockage where the fluid is not flowing easily. I may need a shunt if the medication doesn't help.

I don't currently have required time to devote to hosting swaps, so I have passed that responsibility on to some seasoned swap-bot friends of mine. I did give a select few permission to run my swaps in my absence. Hope all is well with you and that your 2015 is going great!

On a happier note! My daughter will be attending the 2015 Jr Olympics in Colorado! She scored 2nd place in the State of OR and got an automatic qualifying score in Competitive Air Rifle to compete at the national match! Obviously, we are very proud of her amazing achievements!

I have a scale at home and try to fill my envies as full as the stamp/postage will allow. If your swap comes postage due, as some Post Offices are annoyingly picky. Please let me know before rating me down. I will make it right. I'm not trying to jip anyone, I'm trying to get the most in the swap as possible. I also re-use packaging. Oregon is green and beautiful, we recycle almost everything! Reduce, Re-use, Recycle!

We lived in the beautiful sun of Arizona, hence my Swap-bot ID, but in May 2013, we relocated to a suburb of Portland OR. I have been happily married for almost 20 years. We have a beautiful daughter Amberlie, who is a Senior in high school and a competitive Rifle shooter. She is amazing and we are very proud of her. I love being creative and crafty in my spare time. I love to scrap-book, do stamping, cross stitching, baking and more. My current favorite project is making ATC's. I love making and trading them! I also recently discovered matchboxes.

ATC's are my favorite craft at the moment. But I have done almost every craft there is...finding out that I am very good at making Chain Maille, and NOT good at knitting. I can paint large murals on walls, but can't paint really small things or faces to save my life! I cross-stitch, sew, make candles, handmade paper, make jewelry, paint miniature houses for my Christmas Village. I scrapbook, I am altering my first book, I love making matchboxes and envelopes. I love to make homemade bread like my Grandma used to make. I have tried numerous times to make her homemade candy....it's never as good as hers, but I keep trying. I love being creative in all aspects of life!

I love all colors, but notice I stick to the earthy colors you find in nature, like the blue in the sky or on a lake. Green leaves or the grass in a meadow with beautiful wildflowers blowing in the breeze. I like also like browns and creams...I like to try to distress them to look like leather or old parchment. I like deep purple and all blues, all greens, all browns. I do have a folder for every color...since you never know what shade I'll need to go with a certain project.

• CHRISTMAS CARD SWAPS.....I love all Christmas cards. I do love any cards with Glitter, Snow Scenes, Christmas Trees, the ones where the greeting covers the whole front. I prefer store bought, but I will appreciate any thoughtful card sent to me. I love recipes, holiday memories you have. Tags for gifts, Christmas stickers, and holiday ATCs. Thanks for swapping. • I NEED Christmas Buttons! Anything that looks like Christmas, holiday, winter, toys, candy, presents, snowman, ect. I don't need standard buttons like plain circles, I need the ones that have a 3-D design. I am starting a large project and I need a whole bunch. • I am helping to decorate the activities room for the holidays at the elderly Rehab center where I volunteer. I also teach Arts and Crafts twice a month.
