About Me

I live in the Pacific Northwest, Washington state, USA. As well as working full- time, I teach ballet to teens and adults.

I like many forms of arts and crafts, and especially altered books, decos, ATCs, other paper crafts, mixed media techniques and art journals.

I prefer non- cute, but am happy to receive items that reflect your interests as it lets me know more about you.

I also knit - usually hats, scarves, and shawls.

I love to read, enjoy movies and spending time together with friends.

I love humming birds, but we don't really keep any feeders up because they tend to attract wasps and yellow jackets, especially in the summertime. Comment: Shelley, thank you for the beautiful shell postcard. How nice to live close enough to the ocean to be able to walk there frequently! Sand dollars that are not broken are very difficult to find; are the moon snails you mentioned the same as what I know as 'shark eyes'? Enjoy your beach walks and your swapping! Starry Night Seattle postcard is here! Thanks ever so much for the great postcard and your nice note. Sadly, when I worked in Seattle, not once did I see Mt. Rainier. I worked with great people and had lots of lovely salmon, so that makes up for it.

Woooowwww! Ok, holy crap! So impressed with your Make A POSTCARD For My Favorite Theme forum tag! I am glad you sent it in an envie, even if you were being overly cautious. It would have been a shame to lose this card! Also, one corner was juuuust starting to come unglued from the white backing, so maybe you were right after all! The depth of the red and gold scraped paint, and even some PINK (who would have thought!), combined with the subtle rings and the triple compass stamping, and on brown deli paper on top of black card on top of white for a frame is just shere perfection in combining of elements! And the Found Art Is Never Lost on top pulling everything together, so embodies everything about why I'm on swap-bot. The way you packaged it wrapped in that brown deli paper and the beautiful paper on the inside of the envelope, both will be reused. Thank you for tagging me and sending me such a beautiful, perfect postcard!
