4/7/21 - I have a postcard that is missing the swap name and sender's name. It is 'beautiful sandy beaches along Ocean Drive in the Miami Beach Deco District' with a post mark of Miami, FL sent on March 8, 2021. It has a Paulo Coelho quote and yellow and orange washi tape. I would like to rate whoever sent it so if it was you, send me a message and I'll be happy to rate you.
10/10/20 - I'm ready to come back to swap-bot and excited to visit with some old friends and meet some new ones!
8/5/20 - Taking a break from swapping. I've sent out all swaps that I'm registered for, will rate when I receive from my partner(s) and always thank partners that leave a rating. I am no longer tracking down ratings. If I haven't received a rating from you and you haven't contacted me to let me know that you never received the swap from me, I'm assuming that you did receive it, but either forgot to rate or don't rate partners. I always send swaps out the day that partners are assigned, or the next day.
About Me: I've been married for 44 years and have 2 married daughters, 1 granddaughter (13) and 3 grandsons (one 17 & 7 year old twins). I am recently retired, enjoy spending more time with family and watching the grandkids grow!
I transplanted from Montana to the Pacific Northwest 35+ years ago and have never regretted it. Can't beat being a couple of hours away from the mountains, the beach or the 'big city' although I do miss the slower living of Montana.
I'm a Seattle Sounders MLS fan and enjoy going to their matches, when we could go into the stadiums. Go Sounders!
I love making cards, and other paper crafts, cross stitching and sewing. I enjoy learning from other crafters and seeing their creations.
Over the past years I've been 'collecting' paper crafting supplies and fabric to use when I retired. I'm not at hoarder status yet, but could be close! It's been fun trying to use some supplies that I've had stashed away but never tried before. I would like new ideas to spark my creativity and to see what's new in the crafting world.
In the past I was a SU! demonstrator which built up my stamping collection. I also was a part of Operation Write Home until they dissolved. I enjoyed making cards for the troops and miss having that purpose and connection.
I like to collect recipes and occasionally try them out. I've made several family cookbooks for family reunions.
I watch lots of movies and tv but I'm usually working on cards or another project while I'm watching (or else I fall asleep!) I'm always looking for a new series to watch. Any suggestions? A few of my favorites are: ~ Outlander, ~ Grey's Anatomy, ~ The Man in the High Castle, ~ Marvelous Mrs. Maizel, ~ Better Call Saul, ~ This is Us, ~ The Masked Singer, ~ Survior, ~ Downton Abbey, ~ Call the Midwife, ~ Modern Family, ~ and the list goes on, and on, and on!
I enjoy learning about different cultures and countries, and connecting with others. I wish to someday do more traveling.
My favorite colors are purples, blues and greens, but would enjoy any color.
Other favorites are dragonflies, hearts and angels.
I'm allergic to cinnamon, cloves, ginger, basically all of the fall flavors. Unfortunately, no pumpkin spice lattes, spiced teas or spice scented candles for me!
My crafting likes but I'm open to anything new in the crafting world:
~ Paper! Paper! Paper!, ~ Washi, ~ Quotes, sayings, angel words, ~ Ribbons, Wink of Stella Glitter Brushes, ~ Rub ons, ~ Stamps, ~ Rhinestones, gems for paper crafting, ~ Raised elements.
I prefer naked PCs, love that stamped piece of mail. Although I like to collect state PCs, I also like to get a PC that you like so I can learn more about you. No nudity please.
If you do not receive something from me, please contact me and I will resend. I understand that all post offices are different, have different hours, some even different days that they work, especially the smaller rural towns. And they misplace things. If you receive something from me with postage due, please let me know and I will more than make it up to you. I can't always get to the post office so use a scale and USPS.com to figure out postage rates and may sometimes not get it right.
I've always believed that health and family are the most important pieces of our lives. So if you are going to be late, please send me a message so I know when to be looking for your item.
I would appreciate if you would give me a chance to make it right and I will do the same for you.
I love making cards, sending cards and RAK. Maybe you'll find a surprise in your mailbox one day!
