Receiving "happy mail" is always fun, and it is a joy to spread cheer as well.

I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF THE NICE PEOPLE I HAVE MET ON SWAP-BOT!!

I love to try all different types of art forms and paper crafts, and often say my hobby is "collecting art supplies." Mail art, card-making and journal-making have been my primary hobbies for the past 20 years. I was published in a few rubber stamping and cardmaking magazines in the early 2000s. My card techniques / styles vary from artsy rubber stamping to simple, clean lines. Gelli printing has been another obsession for about 10 years; I love collage, and I keep several art and junk journals going at once. While always an art enthusiast, I began to take mixed media and fine art workshops later in life.

DECO BOOKS:

I am grateful for deco swapping. I have always adored mini book art. The collaborative and ephemeral nature of deco books is appealing. I look for opportunities to create whimsical entries and repurpose found images/backgrounds on my pages. I am inspired by viewing others' pages, and then passing them along to the next person to enjoy and add their creation.

Themed decos are an enjoyable challenge (see below for dislikes), but "open theme" often suits me best.

Art-style decos are my preference. This is because lately it is difficult to include large/bulky/rigid and/or taped decos in swaps - based on either swap requirements or partner preferences.

Please do not send adult-only themed for these same reasons. Snark and Sarcasm are OK!

I truly appreciate all of the wonderful deco book swap coordinators here on swap-bot (you know who you are!) and on Groups.IO.

Please do not send me any deco books with dried flowers, used tea bags or candy wrappers. (Dried flowers can create a customs issue. I have food and scent sensitivities.) Thank you.

SWAPPING:

• I try to rate people within a week of receiving the swap (usually on the weekends).

• Rating me is the best way I will know that you received my swap, and I appreciate the time you take to rate me.

• Please send me a PM if you do not receive my swap within two weeks of my sent date.

Mail art envelopes, Contemporary Art, Unique Notecards, Dogs (especially Shih Tzu's), Birds, Pink Flamingos , Beach themes,watercolor imagery, Botanical Themes, Flowers, NYC, David Bowie, Star Trek (all of them), thank-the-postman stickers, handmade items of all kinds.

My art style is more colorful mixed media than chabby chic/ vintage. However, I enjoy receiving YOUR style.

Themes I like: Animals, nature, beach, flowers, whimsical, colors, secular holidays, open theme.

I love when my swap partners send me images related to the deco book they are sending!

Dislikes:

Stuff: Adult coloring book pages, loose glitter, confetti, sports , kid/school stickers, Dollar Tree Stickers and Notecards (I buy them myself), vintage book pages (I have a collection). Believe it or not: Washi tape - unfortunately, it's too hot and humid where I live, and the tape gets ruined. :-(

Themes I dislike: Fall or Winter, Food/Beverage, Persons/celebrities, kiddie, cartoon, fantasy, occult, demons, Satan, fairies, vampires, unicorns, gnomes, dragons, TV, "fandom", horror, comic books, movie franchises, super heroes, sports, rodeo, bullfighting. I can usually do a fantasy page if I receive a book to help keep it moving, but I often "pass" on the Real Life type themed-books. If you have little pix to share that I could use for some of these themes, I would do a page to help keep the deco moving :-)

Kindly avoid sending political or religious items.

• Small stickers suitable for deco book or ATC embellishment

• Glue book or art journal pages

• Rubber-stamped images on various backgrounds

• Anything David Bowie related

I collect new/used postcards with different views of Times Square, Union Square, Greenwich Village, Washington Square Park, Gramercy Park, Flatiron District, Lower East Side or Broadway in NYC- Manhattan. Also any Manhattan scenes from the 70s/80s/90s.

I do not swap: Friendship Books (FBs) , "Sticker Books", Lyrics Books, Slams or label bags, taped decos.
