Favorite Crafts

I am here to exchange Arts and crafts. These are the handmade things I am into making.

â–ºHandmade postcards sent without an envelope.I love mail art like Ray Johnson .

â–ºATCs .I especially like hand-drawn or painted. My favorite Atcs are Mexican sugar skulls ,skeletons and Day of the dead related but NOT the scary or crossbone.I also collect ATCs about postage stamps or postal themes, abstract and steampunk.

â–ºI ADORE altar shrines.I have made many dia de los muertos theme wooden shadow boxes with miniature offerings, flowers, food, etc I am also into matchbox shrines(with a diorama inside).

â–ºI have started making cabinets of curiosities with all my weird natural oddities, apothecary, science, cryptology stuff, found objects, bones, old jars, archeological items ,etc

About Me

I am in my 30's,live in the country in Canada and love to garden ,make Arts and crafts and travel a lot . I speak french and spanish.I am a visual artist making intallations.I recycle and work with natural materials in my land art .Contemporary and conceptual Art is my thing.I also go for abstract.

Themes

☼ I love Mexican Arts and crafts and Day of the dead is what I most like.So most of all SKELETONS , SKULLS and all things dia de los muertos..I am crazy about collecting all kind of things, handmade or bought of these.Other Mexican themes are, loteria, catrinas ,images or things that represent chilies, mariachis, milagros,Guadalupe virgen, tequila, cactus, scorpions, etc.(of those last 3,please do not send real ones ! )Lol

☼ Street Art

☼ Steampunk

☼ Abstract Art.

☼ strange ,dark ,black humor, outsider, experimental, DADA,kitsch,political...

☼Mail art : postal related themes like arty stamps, postal cancellations,seals...

likes/dislikes

I will be happy with anybody's artwork or gift but I tend to not like cute stuff or girly like kawaii, cartoon characters, stuffies, victorian children, cute animals ,fairies and too much cute scrapbooking elements on paper crafts .I dont like it as much when there is not much handmade work on ATCs or postcards like when they are made with images printed out or stickers as the focal point . Let's say that I Go more for the artsy experimental style than the neat and go more for the dark than the sweet . Say that I like art that men could like,so I for sure dont show them pink bunnies or tinkerbell. I believe in freedom of expression so if you are not like me and this is not at all your style....you do what you like ,this is only a fact about myself and I will cherish anything that you made with care !

Things

I go for handmade but here are some other things I like : Again, anything that has a skeleton or skull or has to do with day of the dead, Postcards, things for my altar shrines like miniatures, religious objects(even if I am not religious) ,miniature food. antique or vintage things like old skeleton keys ,old advertisement, tins, small keepsake boxes, old greeting cards, labels ,etc.. Weird curiosities and natural wonders for my curiosity cabinets. Artistic or cool picture frames, anything fengshui, spiritual or esoteric like good luck charms or objects, aromatic oils,tarot... natural paper, rice paper or recycled handbound note books.Imported crafts from another country.

Open for private trades

If you would like to do a private trade with me I would love to .

Comment: Oh wow!!! This doll is just so awesome. I love her! Last night was our All Souls Procession (also known as the Day of the Dead Parade) here in Tucson. I'm recovering from a cold so I didn't go this year. Aw well, I have my lovely Catrina to console me! =) Thank you, and let's do a swap together after the holidays...!

I don't know if you know this, but the rating system has been changed so you CAN rate a 1 or a 3 now for a swap that's over 6 months old. In case you want to change your rating for mousepoo.

I am THRILLED you liked the DoD stuff. You have no idea. Your stuff is so incredible. I was so horribly afraid mine would suck compared to yours. You made me so happy. I look forward to seeing you around the DoD block. It's an awesome block. GRIN (a big skully one! haha)

Hi!! I saw you are on many ATC swaps, and I find it so intersting, but I haven´t joined any because I´m not sure how to make an ATC... or what it is exactly! Art Trading Card, is that it? But what is it? A handmade postcard? Hehehehe Sorry to bombard you with questions!!! :) Thanks Nadz
