UPDATE Life is starting to settle although we are still dealing with the aftermath of this crisis. I have had a few things come back to me for postage (a problem I have been having with the PO) as the person who helped me mail out the final bit of mail used the automated machine. I am so sorry and will accept any down ratings I receive. I am behind on ratings and have plans to fix it all this weekend. I hope to get back to a little bit of swapping soon. My creativity needs an outlet and my youngest misses the postcards.

***After an issue with our post office, my family has fallen into crisis. I can’t share details, but it has been very rough and time consuming. I have sent out everything on time but had one lost and one returned to me. Everything should be up to date and I have stopped signing up for swaps for the time being. I’ve had help mailing out so if you don’t get something, or get the wrong thing (really hoping that didn’t happen) please let me know and I will fix it ASAP. Thank you for your understanding.

My name is Lissa from Colorful Colorado and I am mom to 4 kids. I love creating things and am a bartender by trade. I play pool terribly and sing karaoke averagely. I can bake and cook with the pros and spend a lot of time with my fiancée and kids in the kitchen. I also do a lot of crafting which is how I was introduced to swapping.

We have two HUGE cats named Porter and Guinness weighing in at 20 and 14 pounds. We adopted them at this weight and they are our fur babies.

Also, I click the sent button right after I put happy mail in the letter box. Our mailman is usually an afternoon guy, but the lady that works a few times a week is a morning gal. I haven’t yet figured out the days, so your mail may have the next day postmarked, but I try to send out early.

I truly believe in the power of food memories and have started creating a blog to share my food, recipes, and food memories. We are a family of chefs and foodies and food is how we show love. I love trying new foods and foods from other cultures.

We aren’t big on tomatoes or peas, but have no problem altering recipes to omit this items. I love recipes from your culture or heritage. Grandma’s biscuits, dad’s curry, or healing soup from your ancestors. If you send me a recipe and I make it, chances are I will message you a photo!
