I have decided to take a break from swapping. I do promise to finish the swaps I started, to rate ...etc. my daughter moved home, I have some health issues and am helping with my sons wedding scheduled for next year.

Want to thank all the wonderful people I've met, and I've had a great experience here. I hope to rejoin again , when I have the time to commit to doing my best.

I've been Married 38 years to my college sweetheart. Started my career as an insurance adjuster and finally taught arts/crafts for 15 years, everything from crocheting, knitting, one stroke painting, scrap booking and rubber stamping, jewelry... I was an Event Coordinator for Michaels for 13 years in TX and also substitute art teacher for 4 years at the High School level..

I was born in Milwaukee, WI., grew up in Edina, MN., majored in Art: University of St.Catherine., St. Paul., MN...and after we got married we moved to Richmond, VA., Omaha, NE., Montgomery,AL., Eagan MN and finally Grapevine TX for the past 20 years...

My favorite crafting themes revolve around my 2 dogs. Gus is a blonde Pom and is in charge. My son says if Gus could talk he'd be the kid that would say... mama mama mama mama mama watch me watch me. He's my dog., My other muse is Chloe our 2 yr old long hair chihuahua. She loves everyone, plays sleeps plays sleeps. She's tiny and adorable... I love making sweaters and dresses for her. I'm THAT crazy dog lady. She tolerates my fun... They find themselves in my paintings, scrapbooks, cards, photography, journals....

Sy-Fy is my favorite Comedies are not... LIKE: Letterman, The View, The Chew Dislike: Leno, The Talk, & most talk shows.

I don't like "reality tv" but do like the History Channel and Animal Planet

Music is pretty much stuck in the 60's & 70's, I am a Beatles fan (even saw them when in Minnesota) Peter, Paul & Mary., Simon & Garfunkle Everly Brothers., and especially John Denver.

My style leans towards Eclectic!!! vintage, altered art, Tim Holtz style and I shy away from things too cute. I love things with a sense of humor to them... not "dirty" Funny. Love Whimsy!!

I like bold and bright colors: yellow, navy, red and green are used a lot in my life...but feel any color that fits the project... is a good color.

I love making and receiving animal ornaments especially Dogs, Cats and Birds. I love to work with felt and fabric, but any medium is welcome. I have a tree devoted to Animal Ornaments. I also like "country" ornaments, snowmen are favorites as well as Moose.

All types of Musicals, all things: Star Trek, Star Wars, Twilight, Batman, Superman, X-files, think I've seen Independence Day 50+ times... my family thinks I'm nuts, but I like it!

I love to cook but don't bake I'm a savory person, not sweet (taste in food not my personality) I am a craft supply hoarder, and my craft room is full... I love ribbons, die cuts and pens of all kinds.

I will do my best to create art that is of good quality, though I sometimes fail... I am only human. Just let me know and I will do my best to make it right. I do give hearts for good work, stuff is not necessary ...appreciated but not required. I did once get a 3 for an ATC swap., the card was lost however I did resend. I am sensitive to the rating system and liked being a 5.0 and getting hearts... Guess it's the competitor in me, I'm only Human... and not a confrontational person... so, No drama please, I do this for fun and to "meet" people.
