Hello Swappers!

                      Update August 2021

Finally! I'm getting settled in my new home. Recently, we completed another military move to Texas. Please check for my new address. I believe I have updated it in all the groups.

I have only a little more unpacking to do and then I hope to do a few fun swaps here and there. We are still quite busy with family affairs, but I hope to be active enough to retain membership in most of my groups.

                      My Heart

I love to be creative, to inspire others, and to be inspired. I always do my best no matter the creative project. My desire is to spread joy through creativity and thoughtfulness. I hope my heart shows through in my swaps.

                      About Me

Allergies:

Unfortunately, due to Lyme disease, I am allergic to many things: dust, cats, dogs (hopefully my hypoallergenic puppy will be fine), perfume, candles, cleaning products, smoke, almost all chemicals.

My Everyday Joys:

I enjoy reading, writing, making paper crafts, walking, drinking herbal tea, and watching British and Hallmark television shows. I am a huge PBS and When Calls the Heart fan. My all-time favorite show is Gilmore Girls.

Fun Facts:

I often teach part-time college writing courses and/or tutor, which works out well for me. I am married. I have no kids of my own, but adore my nephew and godson.

Favorite Colors:

I love all shades of blue and green. l also enjoy rosy pinks, and warm golden yellows. I don't care much for purple; it is my least favorite color next to black. Not a fan of glitter. I love gold. Copper and Brass can be lovely. Don't care much for silver.

Fall is my favorite season and I adore fall colors as well as fall foliage and Kansas Sunflowers.

Green and gold are a great combo in my book, especially when it comes to my favorite football team the Green Bay Packers.

Tea and Treats:

I enjoy all teas, especially herbal teas. I'm always wanting to try new healthy/flavorful teas.

My favorite fruits are cherries and strawberries. I like white chocolate and vanilla flavors over milk chocolate. My tummy doesn't do as well with milk chocolates. I love raspberry vanilla cake and strawberry shortcake with homemade whip cream! Yum!

              Other Interests/Animals/Flowers,Etc.

Interests:

love inspirational quotes, poetry, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Bible scriptures, and my new puppy.

Animals:

butterflies, birds (esp. blue birds), dogs, geese, sheep, baby ducks, woodland critters. I love vintage Whinnie the Pooh art and sayings.

Plants/Flowers:

My favorite trees are maple trees and my favorite flowers are wildflowers, begonias, sunflowers, roses, blue flowers. I love botanical themes.

Papers/Fabrics:

all different kinds of paper; sheet music paper, book paper, tea-dyed paper, magazine paper, art photos, scrapbook photo, cotton fabrics, lace, ribbon etc.

Styles:

Vintage (shabby chic), French Style like Amity Bloom (YouTube), Botanical, Homespun Farmhouse, Quilted, Crocheted, Sewn, Regency/Geoorgian Era, Tea Time, Seasons and Holidays. Fall/Harvest is my favorite.

Favorite Magazines:

Magnolia Journal, MaryJane"s Farm, Stampington/Sommerset, and Daphne's Diary.

Favorite Books:

Pride and Prejudice, Little Women book, The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh, Chronicles of Narnia, One Thousand Gifts The Best Yes, and most Paper Craft

I could go on and on about all the things I enjoy in life. Mostly, it's the small things...a warm cup of tea, a sunset, a walk in the park, a soul talk with a friend. I'm an old soul who enjoys a quiet and meaningful life.

                      Please Don't Send

I have many more likes than dislikes but I thought to list a few dislikes so you don't waste time, money, etc.

Dislikes:

I keep getting cat items, which is fine but please don't be offended that I will pass these cat items on to another person who likes cats. I do keep a few cat items on hand to give to cat lovers. Just know I'm a fan of dogs, but not felines.

tiny paper/sticker pieces like the size of a fingernail, unicorn things, norwals, big foot creatures things, rainbow things, florescent, tye-dye and neon/bright colored things, cats, sloths and creepy things like goblins, zombies, nor dream catchers, comic book/super hero things, bugs, snakes, spiders, clowns, guns, camo pattern things, and Hawaian, or Asian comic art or characters. I don't mean to offend. These are just not my style.

Textures:

Please no glitter, or any kind of texturing that is not smooth. I like to use smooth paper/ephemera. Modge podge matt and gloss finish are fine. Just nothing that leaves residue or scratches/tears at other paper. Ribbon, lace, and twine are great. It's the sharp surface texture stuff that is problematic.

                       A Few Thoughts

Thanks for caring about my preferences and reading through my profile. I'm truly grateful for the time you take with your swaps. I know I appreciate it when profiles are detailed. I aim to please.

Once again, should you ever dislike the mail I send, or it arrives damaged, or perhaps gets lost and you don't receive it, or perhaps the postage was short, please let me know and I will do my best to replace/resend as soon as possible.
