If you'd like to get to know me a bit...

I’ve moved around a lot & have lived in Austin, Boston, New York City, Los Angeles & Istanbul. I've worked in book publishing & doing marketing for universities. I’m married, no kids but am a dog mom. I’ve worked in dog rescue & am kind of obsessed with dogs and animals in general! I'm a vegetarian and love all animals, including farm animals.

I'm a big fan of modern art, graphic design and pop-culture. Especially bold, colorful or black and white graphics. Kawaii too!

I’m definitely a child at heart and enjoy silly and funny stuff and small details. Swapping has been SO MUCH FUN to see all the beauty in details in the packages I get. And planning and sending swaps has been such a great creative outlet too!

Lately, I’ve been exploring nature, I take my dog to a beautiful nearby park / pond everyday & observe the birds, wildlife & constantly blooming, changing plants at the park.

LIKES

• LOVE cute washi, interesting ribbon, gift wrap, unusual tissue paper.

• Pop culture stuff, memes!!!, humor

• Dogs, schnauzers

• Birds, raccoons, opossums, woodland creatures like owl, deer & foxes

• Camping, campfires, forest, pine cones, cabins

• Blue sky and clouds. Stars & night sky, outerspace.

• Magnolias!! are my favorite flowers/trees

• Hot pink, polka dots, stripes, black and white, gold, RAINBOWS! 🌈 + GLITTER & SPARKLE!

ARTS & CRAFTS

• Mixed media, collage, illustrations, acrylic painting, lino cuts, photography, line drawings, doodles

FOOD

• LOVE peanut butter, dark chocolate, all nuts, especially hazelnuts & macadamia also almonds & pistachio, crunchy or sweet & savory

• I'm a fiend for iced coffee & mocha coffee. I try to do decaf but can do regular sometimes. I even like instant after living in Turkey. (No flavored coffee though...)

• Cherry, cheesecake, cream cheese, strawberry, raspberry, coconut

SMELLS

• Scented soap & hand soap; strawberry & fruity, light scents, ginger, orange, white tea, jasmine, vanilla, coffee or food scented candles

DISLIKES

• Meat, seafood, leather & gelatin/marshmallow in candy/cakes (I’m vegetarian, but dairy is okay). So that extends to pictures of meat too. Burgers, turkey, etc.

• Along the same lines, I prefer not to get pictures of animals as carriage horses, in rodeos, zoos, circuses, dog sledding, etc.

• Don’t love tea, black licorice, white chocolate. Don’t love pine-scented holiday candles or cinnamon-scented things

While I don’t dislike religion, I’m not religious so those items aren’t for me.

I'm grateful for anything I receive however & LOVE having the opportunity to be creative and giving & doing swaps!
