I hope my profile gives you a bit of an idea about me as a person.

My Sweetheart and I married on Valentine's Day, 44 years ago.

I am a Christian, a non smoker, a native Texan native to Dallas.

I didn't realize how much I love nature until our trip to Disney World Oct. 2021, it's a controlled environment and nature is difficult to control. We didn't have time to visit Nature Kingdom, which I would have loved. I have forgotten some of the rides and sights, but can remember every little bit of nature that I searched out: a few little green lizards, some hungry egrets and 3 bunny rabbits but the vegetation was lush, green and blooming. and that's nature. First thing when arriving home, I went to see at all the awesome nature just out my back door.

I am experienced at downsizing. February 2020, I gave away, let go of and got rid of 70-90% of an entire household of belongings and stuff in order to move to a smaller place. Hubby and I are loving our new home and, even though downsizing was quite challenging, it was all worth it.

I have two grown children and an awesome daughter-in-law. Our children live close and they're active in our lives.

I'm a full-time babysitter to my precious 4 year old grand-puppy, a Dachshund Beagle mix.

I'm a thrift store shopper, and trash day curbside junky. I enjoy repurposing, altering and reusing everything.

I enjoy watching nature from a comfortable perch like from a park bench, picnic table, lawn chair, tree swing or front porch glider. I love the sunshine.

I always get my swaps out on time. I try to rate swaps the day they were received PLEASE, if you don't receive a swap from me send me a message or email so we can try to figure out what happened.

I like a lot of different styles of music, but my favorites are oldies, classical, country and show tones, though, I don't listen to it often,

I haven't been to the movie theater in years, but If the old classics were being shown, I'd be there frequently.

I like to get up early in the morning before the day gets busy, get a cut of coffee and a pastry and watch a little TV. I record the daily evening news to watch the next morning, it can be too disturbing to watch at bedtime.
Most of my TV programs are recorded allowing me to binge watch programs back to back. I like a wide variety, except politics, I like silly stuff that makes me laugh, history, science, survival, nature, DIY, the bazaar, TV classics, old westerns, kiddy programs, girly flicks, reality TV and musicals. I like to fast-forward through scenes I don't like, but rewind and watch scenes I like over and over again.

I enjoy setting at the window writing to my pen pals while watching backyard nature, birds, raccoon, possum, coyote. I love anything related to letter writing, stationery, stickers, washi tape, handmade envelopes, pretty letter sets.

I like to make cards, post cards and envelopes.

I have a passion for sewing both clothes and home decor. I especially enjoy sewing spring/summer decorations and enjoy small quilting projects. While downsizing, I accidentally gave away my small loom, so, I'm having to make another. I like to add embellishments to my weaving projects.

It's rewarding to turn discarded stuff into pretty treasures. To update old furniture, upcycle and remodel, reupholster. To make something from nothing, reuse, repurpose, reinvent. I really enjoy creating art with discarded jewelry.

Spring and summer are my favorite seasons, Easter is my favorite holiday. Washi tape, I'm in love with washi tape, how did we live without it, dog and cat washi are my favorite. Birds, butterflies, bicycles are also my favorites. I like all colors and themes and love washi tape with words on it. I have a passion for tiny envelopes. Bible verses, quotes and sayings on stickers or pretty cards make me smile.

I love pocket letters and the small pieces that fill them.

Postcards of all sorts, lighthouses and castles fascinate me.

Unused vintage postage stamps are always lovely and add a touch of nostalgia and romance to my letters.

I like embellishments and paper of all sorts. I adore old stuff, vintage and retro and anything that can be used on my colleges and altered art.

Random things that make me happy:

Anything related to letter writing, stickers, note cards, handmade envelopes, stationery. Postcards, pocket letters, tiny envelopes, washi tape.

Whimsical, funny and motivational sayings and quotes and words printed on pretty paper and cards.

My favorite themes are happy bright colors, spring/summer, birds, flowers, butterflies, owls, cats, dogs, vintage, gardening, cute animals and much more.

My "dislikes" are few, my "likes" are many. I don't appreciate witchcraft, "the dark side", nudity, profanity, goth or gore, pictures of Christ, Halloween, skulls.
