Comment: 2013-11-14 Received a postcard 2013-11-12 but it was not sent naked and did not include a message on why she liked or disliked night-time. (But I did enjoy what she wrote and sent!) EDIT 2013-11-15: I PM'ed Samara about this when I got the pc and she said pretty much what's in her response here - that swap-bot should be for fun and I shouldn't rate her down since she went over and above by putting the pc in an envelope so that she could send extras. She also said (paraphrasing) that she feels that swap requirements are just general guidelines and that she prefers to send something that will make the recipient happy rather than sticking to the letter of the swap.
Response: Swap-bot is for fun!!! The person that sent me a card also didn't mention anything about nighttime but I gave her a 5 and a heart. I went over and above what the swap asked for.I even sent you an 'extra'. I disagree with this rating and have found it makes me not want to do any more swaps at this time because this takes the fun out of it. And your ratings effect what I am allowed to do on here! So think about that before you rate people! I see a lot of angry replies in your future if this is how you are going to interact on here.
Comment: Hi Samara! thank you so much for the very very nice card you've sent to me. I am so happy with it and also for all the book recommendations. I will look at them one day and see if they're available on Nook store. Thanks alot again.
Comment: I think I have to agree with you, about Sweden and Canada, although I've never been to Canada... But there are definitly some similarities :) And the card is nice as well :) - although I have the same issues as you when buying PCs in the local stores, so if you find/know any good place to buy online, let me know :)
Comment: Thank you very much for your postcard. I have been in the clinic for a week now and get special lymphatic massages twice a day and get bandaged after that. Not easy to walk then but it helps a lot.
Yea - a postcard from one of my favorite swap partners! :oD I love abstract art, especially when I can figure out what it's supposed to be. ;o)
It sounds like you had a wonderful Canada Day. I learned something new - I didn't realize Canada was younger than the US. I don't think we could ask for a better neighbor! My July 4th was quiet - except for the 3 young squabbling raccoons that come late every night to finish up the daily sunflower seed I put down for the birds. About a week ago they had a huge knock-down, drag-out in the driveway! ;oP
Comment: What a quirky pc! I wouldn't mind getting an Xmas card like that! Thanks! Thank you too for your kind message! Luckily, I was able to have two safe pregnancies with lots of drugs and monitoring. Happy swapping!
Comment: Hi Samara, thank you for the pretty postcard! I love Rumpelstiltskin! Oh, that's so neat about your sister. Hopefully you'll get to visit her soon. Hehe yeah, I'm not loving this weather much. Though sometimes we get sporadic rain showers, which are a nice change :-)
Comment: We have to stop meeting like this! ;o) I'm always happy to get a pc from you because they're always so cool, and this one is no exception - it's sooo pretty, and I like that quote also. My solstice was cloudy with high humidity during the day, and that night I was treated to a light show, lots of thunder to make Buffy's eyes bug out, pouring rain, and 60 mph winds. I enjoyed it immensely, especially since all my trees are still standing (the ground was saturated) - hope yours was nice too! :oP
Comment: That was a very pleasing postcard. Thanks. If you have a minute can you tell me some places to order postcards online?
Response: I have ordered most of mine from Amazon. You have to dig around a but because they don't have a postcard specific area. They are listed under books. I even have a book with pictures of PC's which I ordered by accident thinking it was a 'book' of postcards!
Comment: Hi Samara! Thanks for the odd Christmas postcard, your comment on swinging made me laugh! And don't feel like a bad Canadian, I haven't made my way all the way west yet to BC, nor have I been to Newfoundland, and I'm marrying a Newfie! Haha
Comment: Thank you! I loved the way that you made your swap into a little book! My kids thought it was pretty cool, too! Thank you. I would give you more hearts for being as creative as you were on this swap!!! Thank you, again!!
Comment: Oh, how I LOVE my little moose! We must have been on the same wavelength or something, as I recently saw this card on Postcrossing, and was hoping I would get one someday. And today, there he was, peeking out at me from the mailbox! I'm seriously thinking about cutting him out, and making him my swap mascot - he could sit on top of one of the recipe boxes I keep my postcards in. :o) I might even give him a name! Moose are only in northern Minnesota, and I'm in the central area. I haven't been way up north in the woods since I was a kid, so I haven't seen one in the wild - that would be so cool! The moose here are in a serious decline. Some think it's because of global warming, but I wouldn't be surprised to find it's some weird virus or something along that line. I've never heard of them referred to as "swamp donkeys" before - that's cute. ;o)
Comment: Dearest Samara,
That is the loveliest ATC on the planet. I am honored and delighted to be the recipient. It has a special place in my dining room along side some little artwork my sister in law sent me. I encourage you to do the full size painting, just too fabulous to keep small. I hope you keep doing ATC's so others can also relish them as I do mine.
Ps I loveeee your name :)
Response: I am so glad you liked it! And it is so cool that now my art is so far away being enjoyed :)
Comment: Hi Samara! I just LOVE the beautiful post card you sent. Thank you so very much. Welcome to Swap Bot. I have no doubt you are really going to enjoy it. It's lots of fun, and I've made a few good friends here, hope the same for you! Enjoy! Happy Swapping, and once again, thank you so much! Hugs & Smiles to you! :)
Comment: I love small local museums! Ours here in Ft Lupton used to look like somebody's long forgotten attic-a bunch of junk from the last hundred years all stuffed into the old library building. Lately someone has really revamped it and it looks much better. Thanks!
