Just a few words can tell a lot ...
I am crazy about colors & paper, also paper & much more PAPER! a cat-lover/-admirer, always busy being creative, purple, turquoise, paper-lover (yes again! ;-) ), atelier-owner, artist, illustrations, Lenny Kravitz, dance, flower-garden, artistic, stamp & seal lover, cafe latte, red wine, tea-drinker, cozy, talkative, young in mind ... ;-) happy, dreamer, alternative, mother, l recycle, up-cycle and re-use, ... and so much more!!

PLEASE, if you're not satisfied with the mail I did sent you, send me a message about it, before giving me a 'bad rate'. I'd rather see you happy and try to find a solution. I always try to do my best for you, for everyone, but I might have misunderstood something... Please, give it a change in order to come to a solution! Thank you! :-)

ONE DISLIKE What I would like to bring to your attention is that I regularly receive mail - with the best intention, that I'm sure of (to protect the item) - covered in tape, foil ... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't cover your lovely mail for me in (adhesive) plastic!!! I'd rather have it a bit damaged or in another protecting envelope or a plastic bag (what can be taken away).

Hi, my name is Ellen. I am happy with my friend, 2 cats (Puk & Aagje) and since not so long a new dog (secondhand) called Beer (Bear in English). We live in a little village called Zweeloo, with historical farms and a little church - drawn by Van Gogh. Our son (23) is a student and lives on his own, on the other site of the country I love spring & summer most, being in our garden; seeding & picking flowers, enjoying the atmosphere.

I' m an artist (papier mache, illustration) & I have an atelier/studio where I love to be & work most of the time. (making cards, etc.) and I am a webshop owner (lots of cards and other, paper related stuff) I also make birth announcement cards - which we, in the Netherlands, traditionally use to send to the people we know to let them know our baby is born. In common I prefer ILLUSTRATED-cards! And cards with bright, colorful, warm colors-no pastels! I LOVE purple-violet-deep blue-turquoise-orange-yellow-red And BEAUTIFUL STAMPS are the icing on the cake!

Please write the date on the card! Again: I am very fond of beautiful stamps!!! So if possible use these on the card or envelope (used ones added)? And if you have a Hundertwasser or Alice in Wonderland stamp for me it would make my day!!!

For who likes to do something EXTRA, it would be great to sent some goodies along with your card in an envelope. (Beautiful) used stamps (yes, again ;-) ) would be super! Or a drawing, favorite recipe, something handmade, a nice newspaper clipping, a saying from a fortune cookie, etc. But please, don't feel obliged!

I'm about a year really active here, so it is time to extend my profile :-) The coming time I will add here some things I really like (and a few I don't like), to make it easier and orderly for my swap partners.

Things I DISLIKE or find depressing:

• brown, dark or grey colored, too much green (some greens I really like, esp. in combination with some other colors!)

• steampunk

• plastic items, tape

• lovely mail covered into tape, adhesive foil, etc. So please put it in an(other) envelope or stick everything as good as possible - even if the swap requires to send it naked!

• Walt Disney (except for Alice in Wondeland - the movie)

• too girlish

• soft colors, pastels

• real girl-stuff (with a lot of gold and pink, big eyes, etc.)

• sports stuff - I don't like sport(s), not in an active way, nor in a passive way (watching sports). I actually just hate sport. So please don't send me anything with sport!!!
