herb grower : teas + salves + tinctures : pressed flowers and fern : small off-line shop of wreaths, terrariums and magical fairy-folk homes.

i would love a fellow witchy pen pal (letters, pagan-themed swaps) or really anyone who shares a love for nature and simplicity. homeschooling folk that have an interest in forest or child-lead learning, lets exchange homemade learning supplies! busy-bags, lapbooking, nature journals. i have made all sorts of things for my children, and have swapped with fellow mamas in the past.

i love receiving natural things. dried herbs or flowers from your neck of the woods would rock my world. anything having to do with foxes would be equally lovely

abc of me

a: animals, for which i have quick the variety. dogs + cats + ducks + rabbits + chickens + a cat & lizard + beta fish, mostly rescued or purchased from those raising them for 4-h or local farms.

b: books. im a reader, especially science-fiction & fantasy..i also have quite the soft spot for diy & how-to books, as well as field-guides, which i collect.

c: cooking, eh. im not the best cook in the world, and although i dream of putting together a 5-course farm to table feast, the reality is..nope. my husband is our in-house chef.

d: dogs, ever since i was a little-one, i loved dogs. i had a pet-walking & sitting business at nine years old, and later as a "grown up" i did both, for some famous folks as well. now i am a rescue & foster mama for pups, pit bulls being a favorite.

e: ephemera. vintage especially

f: the forest. i love wandering about with my wild-things looking for rocks to turn over, and wildflowers to pick.

g: gusts of wind, on a sweltering summer day are one of my favorite feelings.

h: herbs. i love them! i grow most of my own herbs here on our little homestead, and i make my own teas, tinctures, essential oil blends, and the likes.

i: indigo. im experimenting with dyes lately, and this is a favorite.

j: jasmine. since i just made a sleepy-time jar for my niece, which had herbs to promote a restful night, and jasmine was one of them.

k: kings and queens, fairy tales, princesses and princes.

l: life, love and light. which i try to send to anyone who needs it.

m: motherhood. being a mama is perhaps, my calling and my passion. i have three littles who light my world, and im so glad i get to spend my days teaching, adventuring and lovin them.

n: nature. im a naturalist at heart.

o: open-mind. i believe in kindness, and second chances. i never judge someone for their hardships, or lifestyle, and i wish the world were more open minded in general.

p: paige, my daughter who's ten. she is kind, and brave (not afraid to stick up to a bully for one thing..) she loves to draw, sing, and read. one day she wants to be an animal-rescue kinda chick.

q: queens (to go along with my king)

r: rarely on time. i try!

s: soulmate, the man i married, my best friend and true love (if such a thing exists)

t: tinctures. i love making them and helping folks heal

u: underneath my stairs, there's a little secret spot the kids like to hide in.

v: valentines. handwritten of course

w: washi-tape! im a little smitten with all the nature/foresty/folk designs, and am a collector for sure.

x: xerox copy machines. i have a memory of standing my my dads office, scanning my hands over and over.

y: yodeling. my daughter often does this to annoy me, and it absolutely works.

z: zero. has in, i had zero ideas for the last few letters.
