I'm 25, I was born in the Napa Valley and went to college up there as well. My family still lives there and I love going back home and visiting them and their new dachshund puppy, Cashew.
📮These are just a few of the things I love:
Dachshunds! (my family has a small English cream long hair dachshund named Cashew, so I love anything dachshund-related)
Collecting and using vintage postage stamps (I especially love animal stamps, architecture & art stamps, mail-related stamps, and floral/nature themed stamps)
Cards and stationery (love anything letterpress, gold foil, pretty illustration, floral/nature, coffee, or snail-mail related!)
Collecting stickers (love animal, floral, nature, cute kawaii ones, coffee and snail-mail related ones! Also love mrs grossman's, stickii and pipsticks too)
Traveling (favorite places are Florence, Paris, and Tulum in Mexico)
Reading and baking (love cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies)
Calligraphy (I'm a beginner)
Art and design (I love impressionist art like Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Matisse)
Favorite foods are Mexican (I'm half Mexican), Italian, and any yummy vegan soups (recipes welcome!)
Typewriters (I own an Olympia DeLuxe Cursive one)
📮Postcards I like to receive:
Tourist: I like tourist postcards that aren't the usual tourist postcards. But I also love landscapes and cityscapes and landmarks. Tell me about your town/city!
Nature: I am a big fan of cacti and succulents, and always welcome more flora and fauna in my mailbox. I also love fruit, tulips, and redwood trees.
Abstract: I love abstract and modern art so if you have a postcard lying around, I'd love it! I visit the SFMOMA often.
Animals: My favorite animals are dachshunds, horses, elephants, tigers, turtles, humpback whales, and really any dog.
It is likely that it is lost in the mail or just delayed, as I usually send out swaps during the first two days after partners are assigned. I will appreciate a private message asking to resend immensely, and will extend the courtesy to all of you out there as well 😊Thank you! I take pride in my swaps and getting them to their homes as quickly as possible.
I run a letter writing group called the San Francisco Correspondence Society. We love everything about handwritten correspondence, from the stationery to the postage! We host socials for members to meet and write letters, and soon I will be opening up a snail mail shop on our website to buy artistamps, stationery, and more!
And if you are in the Bay Area, consider joining! It's a fun group.
