Comment: Love the Halloween inspired tapes! The eyeballs were my favorite! I'm sorry I didn't see your questions when you posted them on the swap. WASHI tape is made from rice paper. The tapes will be softer, easier to tear and you will be able to place and remove the tape several times with limited issues. There are many tapes out there that are decorative, or "deco" tapes such as duct tape, scotch tape, masking tape, etc. These (except for most masking) are difficult to tear with your fingers. Once you handle a true WASHI tape (such as the ones you sent this round) you will be able to tell a difference. Hope this helps!
Response: No worries, I did a lot of Google research and figured out the difference :)
Comment: Thank you for this card - it is perfect for what I need right now and I have been currently "going through" something where I have been asking myself if "this was it" ... I know it is not, and I know I need/want/desire to do MORE OF WHAT (I) LOVE! Thank you so much and have a great day!
Response: I am so glad the card touched you, that's my favorite thing about swap bot; being able to send cheer and positivity someone's way! <3 *Hugs*
Comment: Thanks for the cards and little envelopes! Did you know that Minnesota has the same card for their 'state bird'? I wonder how many other states are plagued so humorously with mosquitoes... :)
Response: I didn't know that, how funny! Mosquitoes are so aggravating! Lol Here is a little trivia for you: The mosquito DNA extraction is inaccurate on Jurassic Park due to the fact the Mosquito in the Amber is actually a male; Males don't drink blood!!! :D
Comment: Oh this swap was really fun! Thank you for your awesome postcard...I have to admit it was a bit tricky to figure out your words, but I made it. :) It's interesting how much we depend on one hand...Another thank you for the cute bird stamps!
Response: I am so glad you were able to read it! It looked like chicken scratch lol. I really enjoyed this swap and it would be a fun one to repeat in the future!
Comment: Kelsea (I love your name), thank you for the postcard of Savannah. I love it when we visited. It is really a shame that crime has taken over. It seems to happen to a lot of great cities. Shirley
Response: Thank you! I miss Savannah, living there was beautiful but it's just too dangerous to want to start a family there now!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful pc. They are trying to copy the row houses here in the Houston Heights but they just cannot copy the heritage or the stately grandeur of the real thing.
Comment: Thank you for the cool crunch card! I don't even think I knew there was a Halloween Crunch! I'm a lifelong Peanut Butter Crunch fan, myself (though I can't remember the last time I ate it)! ;) I love the tape on the back, both the sugar skulls & the cats. Thanks again!
Response: I am also a Peanut Butter Crunch addict! Your Chunk O' Cardboard was extra fun to do, I am glad you enjoyed the washi tape, happy swapping, let me know if you ever want to do private swaps. I think your photography is awesome! :D
Comment: Thank you for all the great items. I really needed a pot holder as I lit mine on fire lol. The ribbon will be used up fast with all my Halloween crafts. Everything is perfect to help celebrate the holiday! Hugs, Mona
Response: Thank you Mona, it makes my day that you enjoyed the packaged. Great news about the potholder lol Thanks so much for answering my questions about the swap earlier, I hope you enjoy all your goodies! :D
Comment: *squee!* Thank you for the box of delight~ I'm super excited to watch the ghost stories dvd, I love poe, that crazy art book is just fantastic!, and I love the adorable little handkerchief, too. I'm gonna be out of town until November, but if you'd like to do a goodwill private swap after that, I'd be happy to set one up. :)
Response: I am so glad you liked everything! I searched high and low at about 10 different thrift stores to find everything lol. It was definitely fun finding everything for this swap! I would love to do a private goodwill swap on November, I'm swamped with Halloween swaps now but by then I'll be itching for another type 3 swap! Just let me know!
Comment: Thank-you for following up once you mailed this swap late. Yes, I got the swap. Really like the cookbooks! Found some really great recipes. The crinkle cutter I will put on the wall for display. The fabric piece can line my bread basket. Thank-you for making up being late. ( Normally I would of provided a heart )
Response: I am glad you liked everything! I am in the middle of an unexpected move and it set me back a little with a few swaps, so sorry for that!
Comment: I really like the postcard you sent. I'm particularly interested in the color printing process and Pantone and It's great to have this 1968 image of the same process. Accurate skin tones is a huge problem in color printing.
Response: That is wonderful! I know very little about color printing but I found the image to be lovely and was impressed at its clarity given the timeframe in which it was taken. I love when postcards find their perfect home! :D
Comment: Thanks for the great vintage PC of Garden of the Gods. I had never heard of it either until May when I received a postcard sent by my daughter from there! She was driving from PA to CA and stopped there along the way. I would love to visit it as well :D
Response: Small world! It seems like a beautiful place, I would love to visit!
Comment: Kelsea, thank you so much for the vintage lighthouse postcard of Dyce's Head in Maine. It brought back good memories. I actually went there and I have taken pictures of it. Thank you again, Shirley
Response: I am so glad the postcard couldndonthat. It was actually the only lighthouse PC I had, what are the odds! :D
Comment: Thank you for the cards - I'm giving a heart for you sent one of my favorite sayings, "Live the life you love, love the life you live." I have a sign that says that, so this card will be treasured! I hope you have a wonderful day and good luck with the mosquitoes! Take care!
Comment: I guess there was no specifics on how these were to be sent. I was surprised to get them in an envelope! Very cute! Love the hula cat one! Thanks!
Response: Hi, I am glad you liked the postcards! The swap admin clarified that the cards were to be sent unwritten in an envelope in the comments but I agree that the swap description was a little ambiguous.
Comment: I love the card. If only we had a stairway to Heaven! I don't share your love of snakes. I saw a garden snake the other day when clipping weeds. scared me to death1 I am all for environmental improvement.
Response: I am so glad you like it! I thought it was a very beautiful card. Biology and the complexity of the environment fascinate me!
Comment: Thank you for the alice in wonderland jetoy postcard! This is my favourite jetoy card, and I have it myself as well, but I've never wanted to send it away to anyone because I like it too much! But now I have one myself! Thank you!
Response: I so glad you loved it! It was a lot of fun reading through your profile, we have a ton in common. Hopefully we can swap again in the future! :)
Comment: First off, I LOVE this card - my first Jetoy!!!! Second, that's great you have fostered animals before as there are so many under-aged pets out there that need help (currently we have about 200 kittens underage that we are caring for through our shelter). I have not fostered this year because I am afraid that 1) I will fall in love AGAIN and 2) my girl cats are brats! My boy, Romeo, loves the baby kitties, but the two girls are very jealous! Thanks again for the great card and have a wonderful day!
Response: I'm so glad you liked it, I'm not typically a fan of cutesy things but jetoy cards are just so lovely! I love fostering and hope to do it again one day. I've worked with several shelters in the past and kitten seasons always hits hard and before you know it their are homeless babies everywhere! Thanks for all you do, I hope you have a lovely day!
Comment: Hi Kelsea! Your giant envie arrived in the mail today, it was very beaten up looking and had a rather large tear in the back! I'm not sure what happened to it along the way, but somehow everything arrived more or less intact! Several of the tea bags were cut, ( from the giant tear?) But I made up a fantastic story in my head about a tiger attacking the postie, trying diligently to deliver my pacckage, having to fight him off. The tiny bunny rabbit and the grannyism made me smile immediately! Many thanks :)
Comment: I sent a few pms but she hasnt been on swapbot since april 24th.
Nov 25th 2013, This swap was resent, so I think a 5 is fair, not a 3. She came back and fixed the problem even after being gone from swap bot, that says something about her character.
Response: Took a several month break from Swap-bot due to school. PC was lost in mail, resent today- Rating will be changed once received. No fault to the rater of course, she had no means of contacting me and I was not online for several months.
Comment: It took me a little while to figure out what swap this was for! I couldn't find a notecard or anything... : P
BUT I FOUND A BUG. Which was pppreeeetttyyy awesome and cool.
I also found the robot watch necklace which was also pretty freaking awesome.. And then of course all the paper goods!!! Woooot!!! : D Thank you!!
Comment: Thank you soooo much for the postcard! How nice of you to send me a Jetoy postcard which has a tree :) I love it!! I would love to do a private swap with you. I agree we do have similar interests and no wonder - I am a taurus too :)
Response: I apologize it was late, I had to return home sue to unforeseen circumstances and did not realize it is basically impossible to buy post cards in my town. I know you live in Las Vegas, my entire town population is 3000 so needless to say no stores sold postcards and I had to search diligently to find any.
Comment: I just received your lovely package. I love my bright orange shoelaces, and the beautiful note cards. I am in the middle of looking through the different Georgia pamphlets you sent. They are great!
Thank you for being a great swap partner, and for keeping me posted all the way through. :)
Response: So glad you like them, I wasn't sure if you'd like the bright orange but I'm so happy they worked out! :D
Comment: I love the vintage cardboard. Along with you I am sure that it has seen a lot of history....I used to love to go through all the old boxes of goodies my grandmother had around the house....they always had secret treasures in them.
Response: I am very glad you like it! I agree, secret treasures always lay hidden in dusty old boxes pushed away under the bed or in some long forgotten cabinet! <3
