Heya! Glad to meet you :) I'm Annalia (pronounced Anna-Leah), I live in glorious London, and I'm working hard on enjoying life to the fullest despite the pandemic.
Some of my go-to artists: Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jon Bellion
Constantly on repeat: Hamilton soundtrack, Harry Potter soundtrack
I believe I am quite flexible on the overall genre of the story, if it includes some (or all, if that's even possible) of these elements: Fantasy, sci-fi, romance, historical fiction, apocalypse, post-apocalypse, beautiful descriptions of nature, well-written examples of healthy relationships/communication, dogs.
Books that I have in paperback/hardback that I will never replace with a kindle version:
"The Name of the Wind" and "The Wise Man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss
Harry Potter series/works by J.K. Rowling (I am a Slytherin)
Earth's Children Saga by Jean M. Auel
"Perfume" by Patrick Suskind (I love this one for its ability to make the reader imagine scents)
"Cloud Atlas" and "The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet" by David Mitchell
"Tess of the Durbervilles" by Thomas Hardy
I also really enjoy poetry. My favourite poets include (but are not limited to) Carol Ann Duffy, Thomas Hardy, John Donne, Dylan Thomas, William Blake, Philip Larkin, R S Thomas, Norma MacCraig.
I love animals. I am vegan. This means that I don't eat any meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, honey, or any other food that is derived from animals. I also do not buy any products that contain animal-derived ingredients or that have been tested on animals.
If you could please avoid sending me the following:
Any food that has animal ingredients (including gelatin, honey, etc.)
Products that contain animal-derived ingredients or that are not cruelty-free (if the product does not explicitly say cruelty-free, or does not have the leaping bunny logo, it is most likely not cruelty-free).
Things to do with hunting/killing animals. I don't want to know about/see these things.
Thank you in advance for being considerate.
On that note, if you are a fellow vegan or if you cook yummy vegan meals then I'd love if you shared some recipes with me, especially simple, can't-go-wrong recipes!
Postcards: ones that have something to do with the things I like (please see below for more ideas), black&white, vintage/vintage advertisements, odd postcards, PCs showing nature.
I love tea. I like black tea and green/white teas. I also like some flavoured/chai teas (e.g. blueberry muffin, mulled wine spices, rose). I don't like smoky teas such as Lapsang Souchong.
Photographs! Especially ones which you have taken yourself. Of anything whatsoever - but explain why you chose the photograph if it's not obvious (e.g. if it's a picture of a swing set, it could be that you have many childhood memories there)
One of the things I like most is to get to know about who has sent me things. Whether this is a 10-page letter (always very much appreciated and enjoyed!) telling me about your life story, or a short note about something that has made you happy today, I always find it very interesting.
Things I'm not so interested in receiving: -
I'm not currently planning on doing many swaps requiring craft things, so please don't send things like ephemera, ATC blanks, stamps, buttons, other things used for crafting. I just won't use them :)
I'm always trying to downsize my collection of belongings, and don't have space for things that are not useful/valuable to me. Things like animal products, non-vegan recipes, the craft items mentioned above, and blank unwritten postcards (unless I sign up to a swap specifically for this) will go unused by me.

Welcome to "VEGS"
Welcome to Cold Hands Warm Hearts! Glad to have you here!
Hi there! I received your package yesterday! Thank you so much for ANGELING the rubber stamp swap for me! It was very sweet of you and I LOVE the stamp set you sent!!! I was so excited and surprised to see that the mail was delivered! We have been having below zero temperatures (Fahrenheit) and tons of snow/sleet/freezing rain!
Thanks for the "I feel like writing about..."letter. I enjoyed reading about the places you've lived. We moved a lot when I was a child, but I never had to learn another language! Although I am known to use a regional turn of phrase that raises eyebrows every once in a while.
