My name is Stephanie and I'm an artist who specializes in graphic design and illustration. I work in various mediums both traditional and digital, but I have a soft spot for painting. (Mostly acrylic)
I love anything that has to do with comics, fine art, graphic design, illustration, mixed media, sewing, crafting, collage, ephemera, journaling, scrap booking, anything vintage or aesthetically pleasing.
I also like anything that's considered colorful, unique and eclectic.
I'm also quite a big animation buff, so I love anything that has to do with the medium. (Art Books, pictures, postcards, posters, trading cards, sketch cards, promotional products, animation cels, etc.) (This includes Disney, anime, etc.) I mainly prefer 2-D animation over CGI, so I would mostly like anything that has more to do with that, but CGI- related stuff is welcome as well.
I also love receiving notes, cards and letters. They can be any length you want and be about whatever subject that interests you. I mostly like hearing/talking about different interests like hobbies, careers, likes/dislikes,etc. But, I also enjoy hearing about your goals, hopes, dreams, ambitions, what makes you smile the most, favorite memories and things similar to that. I also enjoy in-depth conversations about more intellectual subjects as well (science, history, philosophy, etc.), but only if anyone else is interested.
I am also a Christian so I love anything Bible related or resources that can help further my study & understanding of the Bible.
Since I'm an artist, naturally I'm going list some of my favorite artists that I've been most influenced by over the years. Unfortunately, the list is quite long and very broad. So here's a condensed version along with category listings:
Classical Artists: Vincent van Gogh Michelangelo Leaonardo da Vinci
Illustrators: Norman Rockwell Andrew Loomis J.C. Lyondecker Al Hirschfeld
Animators: Walt Disney Max Fleischer George Pal Osamu Tezuka Hayao Miyazaki Richard Williams Marc Davis
I can be quite passionate when comes to reading, but unfortunately, my tastes are quite broad in terms of subject matter. So, instead of listing my favorite titles, I'm just going to give a list of my favorite genres intead. (Which are listed below):
I really enjoy listening to music in general, but when comes to what I like to listen to, my tastes can be pretty broad and quite eclectic. So here's a list of my favorite music genres:
Old Show Tunes
I love knowledge and I love learning more than anything in the world. So, when it comes to history, I'm practically a walking encyclopedia of information. The term "history" can also be pretty broad, so to narrow things down, here's a list of some of my favorite categories:
I'm also quite the whiz when it comes to collecting and collect practically anything, but for the sake of continuity, here's a summerized and condensed list of what I like to collect specifically:
Toys (any kind, mainly vintage)(Mint or fairly good condition)
Memorabilia (All kinds, current or vintage)
Autographs (Any kind, whether current or vintage)
Baseball Cards (Current or vintage)
Trading Cards (Current or vintage)
Sketch Cards (Handmade or purchased)
Anything craft related (supplies, papers, scraps, any kind of medium)
Stickers (Any kind, any size) (Handmade or purchased)
Washi Tape (Any size, shape, or pattern is fine)
Knick-knacks (Small or medium sized) (Vintage or new) (Nothing fragile or breakable)
Odds and ends (Mainly scrap paper, tape, paper clips, old flyers, postcards, news print, wrapping paper, fabric scraps, business cards or brochures)
Random stuff (Little things like ephemera, cards, stationary, memo pads, book marks, any kind of crafts or handmade items)
Movie Posters (Mainly small one sheet posters or lobby cards) (Vintage or current) (New, mint, fairly good condition)
Books (See my previous list for favorite genres) (Vintage or current) (New, mint, fairly good condition)
In addition to my other interests, I also love watching films as well. I mainly prefer old films/ TV shows as opposed to current films/TV shows (with a few acceptions), but that's what I'll mostly be referring to. Just like anything else I'm interested in, my tastes are very broad so I'll just list the genres:
Celebrity-specific (Any old film/ TV show that features your favorite actor/actress) (Example: Marilyn Monroe, Rex Harrison, etc., etc.)
Any Film/TV show recommendations (I gladly welcome them)
Basically any film/TV show from the 20th century
I'm also a Christian and I love to receive anything about the Bible or that's Bible related.
This also includes:
Books (Devotionals, Testimonies, Studies, Concordances, Commentaries, Study Bibles)
Verses (I like pretty much any verse from the Bible, but I especially love verses from Psalms. I also accept pretty much anything that has a Bible verse printed on it. I especially love receiving cards & prints with Bible verses on them.)
Ephemera (Stickers, Pictures, Postcards, Motivational Posters, etc. I especially love pictures of the religious paintings from the old masters & illustrated children's books.)
Hand lettering (I also love prints of those hand lettering designs of Bible verses or anything that's encouraging or reminds me of the Lord)
Bible Studies (I also like resources that help further my study of the Bible. They can be short or long. I particularly like a resource that focuses either on one whole book of the Bible or a particular topic.)
Preachers (I also have a couple a preachers that I like to listen to & have also helped me a lot. I especially love Charles & Andy Stanely, David Jeremiah, Joel Osteen, Ron Jeffress, Joel Pelsue, John Haggee)
