About Me

I'm a 40ish year old writer. I have two books in progress but have been in the longest writer's block in the history of man.

I absolutely love to keep in touch with people with random mail. I guess it' the writer in me. Though sometimes I can be slow in getting back to someone, so it's like getting mail for no apparent reason.

I have two kids of my own, 23, 25. Three stepkids from my late husband. My boyfriend has 3 kids. I also have two beautiful grandchildren. Johnathan and Peyton.

I'm enamored with my cat Earl, which makes me a crazy cat lady, though if I could have a box full, I certainly would. I just recently got a part Siamese from the Humane Society, her name is Opal.

Favorite Books

I love all kinds of books, romance, biography/memoirs, history, paranormal anything (especially romance) etc.

The Stand - Stephen King

S - JJ Abrams and Doug Dorst

Virals Series by Kathy Reichs and Brendan Reichs

Doodle Art Alley Coloring Books

Deborah Harkness books

The Themis Files books by Sylvain Neuvel

Favorite Movies

My all time favorite is Top Gun. I would have to say that the only movies I really care for are fantasy and romance/comedy. There are too many 'real life' horrors in today's news, I don't want to watch them in my spare time.

Ever After

Dirty Dancing

Beauty and the Beast

Favorite Television

Big Bang Theory

Outlander (ready for season 3 to start already!)

and Anything on the Food Network

I could keep going on, but I've probably already lost you.

Favorite Crafts

rock painting

making envelopes

and have just gotten into making fabric postcards.

Please don't send anything that smells like smoke. I have a horrible allergy to the smell and can't breathe.

I have a love for pigs

country angels

anything fantasy

anything to do with books

tea (any except ginger, not a fan)

stickers (no kawaii or children's stickers)

Post cards (I love love love love love them!) NAKED

buttons - I'm trying to fill my grandmother's button tin.

stuff for my planner

Ephemera of all types

I'd rather not have religious postcards/cards.

No scraps of paper that even you wouldn't use for something.

NO LADYBUGS. We have some here that bite and they give me panic attacks.

FLAKERS! Oh do I hate them. I give chances to resolve without rating down but, here are the ones who have flaked on me.

kclicquot - Book Page ATC 11/4/18 contacted her to ask if it was sent 11/6/18 got a message back from her let her know that everything was OK, mail problems happen. 11/19/18 contacted her again and I haven't heard back from her. 11/27/18 rated 1

Comment: You can do this! I would recommend a bullet journal style journal to help you meet that goal. I Googled articles to see what the fuss was about BuJo style journaling. I started one and like it so far. And you could post a public swap to find a round-robin partner (or review all the profiles of people in the WW group to see if anyone is interested in round-robin writing).

Comment: Hi Tami - sorry for the delay in rating, it was hectic here with the holidays! All great resolutions and I hope you are able to make them work for you! Mine include decluttering - which means I have to put my phone and/or book down and get out of the recliner - yikes! LOL! Wishing you a Happy New Year and may all your resolutions come true! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)

Comment: Tami, thanks for the wonderful eagle image PC. I grew up just across the harbor from Boston, MA and my family told me that a pair of bald eagles had landed on the osprey nest. Watching them must be amazing!
Response: I'd love to be able to be close to one. Majestic would probably be an understatement.
Comment: Thank you for the Tucson, AZ PC-good answers. Happy Swapping!
Response: You're very welcome
Comment: I wanted to write a long comment with this rating. But after reading your journal twice, I know it would get way too long. I will write you a letter instead. :) This journal was not as "magpie-ish" as I made it but it is very, very special. It touched me in so many ways. I laughed, I cried, I wondered, got curious.... With every single of your honest answers I had the feeling to have a deep conversation with a friend. Your journal means a lot to me and I could write a response to nearly every single one of the 100 answers you gave. I love your journal! You will have to wait for my letter a little bit... it will be veeeeeery long... :D Thank you so much for being such an open person!
Response: I'm glad you liked it. Sorry the magpie portion wasn't as good as what you sent out. Look forward to hearing from you.

I just found the "Swapbot Hilarious Fake Junk Mail" swap letter you sent me in Feb. 2016, re-read it, and had another good laugh. I haven't logged into swap-bot for quite a while but came back just to say you brightened my day with your ridiculous letter about buying a junk house! (:

TC on Jun 28, 2017:

Hey Tami, I'm getting ready to take an extended break from SB. Please let me know if the cootie catcher never arrived so I can get it re-sent before I exit.
