Hello, my name is Valerie. Native Texan. I love animals, I have two rescue dogs, a rescue cat, and a bunny. [I cant wait to learn how to place their pics here!] Most of my time is spent being lazy with them or being a hermit in my craft "cave". Spend lots of time being an animal advocate, which is why my friends call me Animal.

I love paper crafting, not a day goes by that I am not making something "artsy" or learning something new to try. I love taking pictures, my camera is practically attached to me though I rarely get them printed even though that is the goal. I have a full time job, a sometimes job and recently opened an Etsy store I hope to expand on as well.

I like creepy things and cute things and basically anything with skulls on it, I keep buying Halloween themed things to decorate my house but I have no more shelf space for any of it. I can never get enough cute bunny themed items! Literally, I don't know where to find them!

I am really bad at letter writing portions, I'm pretty antisocial but I am making an effort. Please keep that in mind when receiving things like Pocket letters/note cards etc. I join these swaps more for the craft component and to push myself to be more open and to socialize with people. Thought I would put this even though it makes me sound a bit deranged.

I'm very eclectic especially when it comes to my music taste! I listen to just about anything and everything, but lately feel "old" as I have not been keeping up with current songs/artist, which I feel horrible about as I used to promote bands locally and online YEARS ago. I feel like a fraud as I lived in Austin (the dying "Live Music Capital") my entire life until about 10 months ago. Most tuned to Radio stations: Country 80's pop Alternative/Rock but I do listen to EVERYTHING! Feel free to give me suggestions on what you're listening to right now :)

I do my best not to watch TV but sometimes I get sucked in, I watch You're the Worst, This is US, Doctor Who, a lot of crime shows, AHS, still watch Grey's Anatomy even though that show should probably end already, The Orville, Bull then I also watch dumb shows like KUWTK and Floribama Shore. My husband watches a lot of car shows and he has me watching Americas Got Talent lately as well.

I love anything art/craft related that I can get inspiration from. I also love books on crime, steampunk, mystery, etc. Sadly I collect books more than actually read them.

I also rescue books from a terrible fate and give them new life in the journals I make for myself and my Etsy shop. Though mostly they just mingle in their own walk in closet turned mini library.

Making handmade journals and art books. I love to scrapbook; art journal, I work on at least 4 books at a time; paint; collage, probably one of my oldest and favorite things to do; making journals and planner charms for my Etsy shop.

Other Likes: Mammoth, Elephant, Rhinosorous, Scarab Beetles, Jelly Fish, steampunk, Circus/Carnivals! arts/crafts, sparkly/shiny things, "dark" things, happy things, dried flowers, hand drawn things, unique images, random photos, vintage things, new things, robots, dinosaurs, space, stars, aliens, anything HALLOWEEN (at any time of the year), glitter, confetti, things that remind me of that old school Funfetti cake with matching icing!!, sequence, unique packaging, decoupage papers/ cool tissue paper designs/gift wrap, anything animal related, small toys (under 2 inches - like you find in gumball machines), zines, used stamps especially from other countries, playing card/random cards with different designs/for different unusual games.... Favorite colors in no particular order: Pink, Gray, Black, Green

POSTCARDS: NAKED! - dont know what to write? Weird facts are cool! the more random/weird the better, not to fond of touristy cards but I know how hard it can be to find cool ones. I've been loving those cards with glitter. Do not mind handmade cards as long as it is clear that effort was involved.

Absolute: If you get nothing else from below PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY FOOD/DRINK ITEMS...Please no letter writing paper, especially copied/printed, I am not a letter writer and these just take up space before I am able to send them along.

I will send swaps on time (typically as soon as partners are assigned though not always) unless I'm dead or imprisoned, so if you don't get my swap check the jail or the obits then let my family know!
