Comment: Thanks! Loved the vintage postage stamps...it was heart worthy! Best of luck on reducing your debt...we did that and had great success, but it took several years and a lot of hard work! And the recipe on the front is almost my exact same recipe! Yummy!

Comment: What an amazing ATC you sent to me! I can't believe you carved the butterfly stamp yourself from a dollar store eraser. It's fantastic. Thank you for the extra butterfly cut outs for me to use in future projects too.

Response: I had fun just laying down old blue security envelopes to make this envelope. It turned out rather nice and I think I'll gather some more from my junk mail and do it again. I dropped it into the mail at work and one of my co-workers said I drew a very pretty sunflower so I started to worry that it didn't look like a nest. The carving stamps is so much fun, the people who work at the local dollar tree must wonder why I buy so many white erasers, lol. I still prefer them to the more expensive carving block.

I also had a minor "discussion" with my post office lady about the correct placement of stamps on an envelope. I say as long as they are on the front of the envelope and you add the additional non-machinable fee I should be able to stick them where I want. Ahh well, she has no mail art in her soul. I enjoyed the black and white envelope, I can't wait to see what other themes the group comes up with!

Comment: I love this! The oil pastels look so pretty - I always like trying new supplies. I had to laugh at the cute motto "I tried to be good but I got bored" - so true for me and my dogs. The dandelion doodle is pretty cool too - over all this was just an awesome piece of art to receive, thanks!

Comment: I do love the postcard you picked out for me of the sewing machine. I love PCs like that and I've never seen it before. I need to get back into learning to sew again but I have no room right now. Plus everything is such a mess right now. I have tons of things I want to sew though. The most pressing of which is to sew up/repair my dog's favorite toys that he has ripped and is trying to pull the stuffing out of. I put them in a basket when he does to fix but I've gotten behind on that haha

Response: I'm glad you like the pc, I love them but I know some people don't like handmade pcs. The way you tell about the flies is you have to collect them every four hours after they hatch before they become old enough to mate. It made for very long nights when they started to hatch. It was one of those really bad work study jobs in college.

Response: Thank you for the great rating. I started doing the carved stamps after I joined a carved eraser swap here about two months ago. I bought a speedball carving kit from amazon for about 10.00 and looked up some tutorials on google. The best thing I can recommend is start simple and the dollar tree where I live has 8 packs of white erasers that work really well for carving. I hope you like using the stamp!

The ink I used was Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-jaku (I think that means peacock) which is outrageously expensive at $28.00 a bottle but I caved and bought a sample from Goulet Pens for $2.50 It has enough to fill my pen about 3 maybe 4 times if I stretch it. I love the color, I just may have to brown bag my lunch for a month or so to save up for a bottle.

Response: Thank you for the sweet complements. I'm loving all you can do with the transfers and I can recommend it. There is a simpler way to do it with clear packing tape as well. All the zentangle I know I learned from a website tanglepatterns.com it has almost every pattern you could want.

Response: Thank you for the heart. I love using popcorn bags for envelopes. You can get a pack of twenty for a dollar at the dollar tree and they look so cute, you just have to glue the flaps down so it doesn't open on the way to the person you send it to.

Response: I get my postage from Errol Murphy. I think he has been mentioned on the forums before and I found out about him in a couple of blogs. He sells postage for face value plus the cost of sending it to you in increments of twenty dollars plus you can ask for a theme like animals or transportation. He changed email addresses recently and his new one is emurphy3101 at gmail.com I've ordered twice from him and both have been excellent.

The envie was so cool, with a popcorn bag, and the pretty cool stamps. :) And then it had an extra postcard with seahorses(i LURVE seahorses). plus it's just weird in the mountains. haha! and some pretty note papers. and fish erasers. The ATC was the last thing, but certainly not least. Because of it's long legs, it will just not fit any traditional ATC storage sleeve, or book, or box. It simply must be displayed by itself in all its curly-tentacled glory. ;) Thank you for your kind comment about my Etsy art too. PPS, I did not know a girl octopus is called a hen. So is this one you sent a hen or a guy?
Response: Thanks for your sweet rating. I love doing these swaps for people who like them. I was worried about the ATC because of the tentacles going off the card. In my mind for some reason most of the octopi I draw are female. I guess I think of them as more of a girlie-type animal.

Response: I used Sakura gelly rolls and I bought myself as a me Christmas present. I'm really liking the smooth feel of them but they do take a while to dry on postcards so you have to be careful not to smear.
