Comment: WOW!!!! I love your ATC. The white ink adds such contrast to your ATC. WOW!!!! What kind of pen did you use to write with? I have a gel pen that only works half the time. What did you use on the background? It feels like a chalkboard paint. Thanks for the extras too.
Response: hey! thanks for the rating & the heart & the comment!! the pen is on jetpens.com & it's a sigmo i think? there's an article on that site about choosing a white pen. the background is layers of paper + an acrylic medium, & layers of watercolor paint. :) hope that helps.

Comment: thanks for the great paper! How do you make paste paper? It looks pretty simple but I haven't done it before.
Response: with the stuff i sent you, it was some recipe i tried (written down in a journal packed in a box somewhere) but i believe it's much easier & similar to buy wallpaper paste from the home depot or something & mix with acrylic paint to the desired color... then just brush it on with sponges, wire tools, stamp designs in it, etc. lots of fun!! you can probably find recipes online if you google too, but i think the wallpaper paste method would be much simpler!

The leaf patterned rubber stamps are lovely, and I'm looking forward to playing around with all the paints, pastels and powders. It'll be like a rainbow-colored tornado struck the house. ;D I also never realized there were so many stamping and papercrafting magazines out there, that's neat.
The large piece made of handmade paper with the picture of the cranes on it-- did you make that yourself? It's beautiful, and I love the background of the blossoming cherry tree. Seriously, it was a fantastic package and really made my week. :) Hope you have a great New Year!
Response: i'm so glad you like what i sent, i was nervous!! :) i don't know if i remembered to mark that big catalog, but that's pretty much where i learned most of my stamping techniques & about different products that were available (not just from them, most of that stuff you can just buy at michaels or whatever!!)
i did make that painting w/ the cranes, it was meant to be the cover of a book, when i used to make blank books for myself to journal in, but then i wound up wanting to use the book part of it for another project so i took that cover off & didn't really know what to do with it. i found it again tho, and it made me think of you, so i'm glad you like it!! :) look forward to seeing your new creations!! <3 thanks for rating & the heart dear!

Comment: How do I get this lucky? Two packages from Anya in one day? I'm sitting listening to this funky 'Aphex Twin' (who? who cares, awesomely head-expanding stuff! ) CD while running my hands through richly-coloured ribbons and fibers the likes of which aren't to be found in this country and gloating over little packets of treasures that look as if they could go straight into my Cabinet of Curiosities (mini brass lionpaws? faery faces? Atlantean crystal fragments?) ... blissed-out in an artistic gorge of synthesia.
Heart? Pah. Star? Sure, whatever. Where's the button for 'Tiara of Glory?' How do I click on 'Direct-deposit Karma Point'? Why is there not an option for 'Gilded Olive Wreath' or 'Drag Her Carriage Through Town by Hand'?
I think this might adequately express my enthusiasm about the two glorious packages I got from @pthalostars today, yes?

Comment: A truly special package, or rather, bundle of packages, for everything was wrapped beautifully (and did you know that I will treasure and reuse the fibers as well?) which positively exuded thoughtfulness along with the peppermint (one of the few scents I do appreciate!). I felt both loved and energized, and my six-year old daughter who always opens packages right alongside me, was so joyful from my spillover that she wanted to send you something back immediately. I'll tuck it into the next outgoing parcel, promise! And the quote is going up on the fridge... :)

Comment: Wonderful selections. I have not one of these papers. Don't forget to indicate somewhere on the envie or inside the package what "swap you're sending". Make's it a lot easier to know who you need to rate for sending such a great package. Esp when you're always at the max number of swaps - like me. Love the package. Thanks so much.
