Comment: Thanks for the dentist card! I'm lucky not to have any negative dentist associations, at least so far. We've been getting the same mix of weather--70 last Saturday and an inch of snow last night. Yes, I think cold, wet weather is my least favorite, though I enjoyed living in Portland.
Comment: I LOVE this pc - thank you so much! :oD I'll bet you're feeling like a polar bear yourself right about now, what with that big storm that hit you this week. We finally got into the 30's
today, but some of the joy was lost in the high winds and cloudy skies. I had to drive on the interstate this afternoon, and by the time I got home, I could barely use my left arm. :o( Am I ready for spring? Ya, you betcha! ;o)
Comment: Such a wonderful card - thank you so much! :oP I've also wondered about the Seahawk's hawk. This has been a rough winter for everyone. By the time February rolls around I'm tired of the cold weather, but Canada won't take it back, so I guess we're both out of luck! ;o)
Comment: Thanks for the snowy plantation house card! That's funny--I also sent a snowy plantation house card for this swap. Hope you're keeping warm!
Response: Actually, we're nearly frozen and have 3 inches of snow, but it could have been worse. We could have had the nearly foot that Va. Beach got. Or we could have gridlock like Atlanta. Apparently they learned nothing from our little escapade 9 years ago.
Comment: Thank you for the shell pc, I used to have a similar one, but gave it up in a swap. So it will be a welcome addition to my received collection. I'm sure you will be shelling before I will be golfing. Lucky you!
Comment: Thanks, Margaret for the pretty card! Merry Christmas and stay warm! = ) I don't know if you know but your city postmark is a side bow and the words 'Seasons Greetings' thru the middle of the stamp, cute!
Comment: Denali looks wonderful but I do not know how I would cope with the temperature there. My son is going to the US in Jan 2015 with a group from his school and the one thing that they want to do is to see snow.
Comment: We had our first snow last week too. Yuck! I hope we don't have the long cold winter that is being predicted! Thanks for the beautiful postcard. I am unfamiliar with that artist but she reminds me of Gauguin. <3
Comment: Great PC showing the activity at a game! What a shame App St can no longer compete for great players -- must be had for many to take after being good for so many years! Thanks for the great PC and have a great week ~~
Comment: Wow, an Asian Black Bear - thank you so much bd twin! :oD Of course, I just had to look it up, and found out that their closest relative is our American Black Bear - fascinating! Where do you hike? I was never into 'hiking' exactly, but I used to love taking long walks in the woods or around a lake with my dogs. :oP
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful dogwood card :) I appreciate you sending me a new one for my collection. I have a lot of NC cards as I have a few friends from there, so I know it can be quite a task sometimes.
Comment: Hi! Thanks so much for the lovely pc - I do love reading but don't remember reading this book - sigh! So glad to hear you have had great great weather and that you got to go hiking with your sister! Sounds like a great time! Hugs, Happy Reading, Halloween, and Swapping! LOL! ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for the incredible Pixar view card. I love it! I am ashamed to admit that I have yet to see that movie. What is wrong with me?! I'll use your card as inspiration to get it done soon! <3<3<3
Comment: Love your username AND the postcard! Napping and reading are so some of my favorite hobbies ;) I hope you got some Jane Austin reading in (or something equally good to curl up with!) Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you! Very popular card for this swap. You sent it to me, it was the same one I sent to my partner, who almost sent it to theirs, but didn't. I'm glad you sent it, I almost couldn't part with mine, so I'm glad I did :)
Comment: Hi! Isn't it funny how there can be so many folks in the two swaps you got me as a partner for? LOL! Love the pc - thank you for two lovely pieces of Happy Mail today! Hope you had fun at the Big Cat Rescue! Hugs, Happy Reading and Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hehe, you're so sophisticated. When you're in a mood, you turn to Jane Austen. When I'm in a mood...I turn toward the nearest baked good and flip on the boob toob :D :D Thank you so much for the lovely PC!
Comment: I consider this shell card a storebought tourist card as the 'real-life' place is clearly identified on the front and the back describes it further. Thank you for the great card for my collection :)
Comment: Thanks for the great seashell card! You can however keep all the Brunswick Stew to yourself - unless it is made different than what I tasted here from a local bbq place. Maybe some nice vegetable beef barley soup in its place. :)
Response: BBQ joints rarely have edible stew. You need to find a fire department that is doing a stew as a fundraiser. Or find a fall festival somewhere. Yummm!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cute card! The weather here is touch and go as well. It makes it hard to plan anything for the weekends! I love this card, btw. Is this from the hand-lettered boxed set?
Response: Yes, it is. I like most of them but there is one saying I can't very well send anyone. ROTFL
Comment: Love the postcard--did you know that the photographer Lewis Hine was born in Oshkosh and lived here as a youth? We get a lot of folks researching him at the library. Thanks for the card.
Comment: Thanks for the pretty Juneau card. I couldn't live in Alaska either. I spent five weeks there during the summer of 2004, and even then the mornings were too cold (37-40 degrees). My boyfriend was born in Alaska, but left whenhe was about two.
Comment: Ever since I was in the Army National Guard, I've been interested in the Civil War. My DH is too and will also enjoy this PC. Thanks! You know the "last Shot" of the Civil War was fired up here in Alaska, right? Up in the Bering Sea by Little Diomede. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Whoa! This card is so gorgeous! I love glitter! The leaves are already starting to fall here. I can't say I'm glad about it because I know that it means that winter is approaching. I know I should just enjoy the color show, but you know!
Comment: For some reason (and I don't care why) our summer weather this year has been WONDERFUL. We had one really hot week at the beginning of summer but ever since it has been nice. Autumn is my favorite time of year, so I am looking forward to it as well. Sunday blessings, ellie
Comment: Thank you for the pretty postcard. I have always wanted to experience the "traditional" fall and winter seasons. The changing colors of the leaves and crispness of fall... having a white Christmas... so beautiful! :)
Comment: Margaret, you picked exactly the right postcard for me - lilac and gardenia are two of my favorite flowers and scents. :) I didn't know they required a lot of work, though! We had a lilac bush near my childhood home, and my parents never did anything to tend it. I guess we were lucky that it bloomed. LOL.
Comment: Thank you so much for this lovely card - I actually used to subscribe to Vanity Fair and have been contemplating the purchase of the box set of postcards, which I assume this came from...so it was very fun to get your card. :)
Comment: Great PC Thanks for the info about the battle and upcoming milestone event. Now I want a card from all the parks. If you do plan to visit parks we are two miles from a Stones River Battleground. Write ahead and we'll do coffee or do part of the tour there's the big easy to find main park. And little areas with a radius that require a short drive 2-3 miles different directions.
Comment: Thank you for the Interesting PC. It took me a second to realize which way was up >.< The pillars of hands holding kinda messed me up lol. But i will say i'm glad that someplace is getting rain. it hasn't rained here in texas in a week or two i believe not since all the tornados that is. Sorry about the baseball game. Hopefully everything turned out great :)
Comment: Thank you for the nice postcard and hello note! Thank you, also, for joining my swap! Hope to see you in another swap sometime! Hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. It was cold here too! Take care :)
Comment: What a pretty PC!! We are having warm and humid weather and have had some rain yesterday and again today . . . think the off-and-on rain will be with us through tomorrow but the humidity along with temps in the low 80s is miserable! Thanks again for the pretty PC and have a great weekend ~~
Comment: I can't stand when it is one temperature for 3 weeks straight and then all of a sudden it drops 30 degrees. How frustrating! It's about 85 in the day here right now. Watch - in a week, it will be 50 again hahaha. Hope you are well and thank you so much!
Comment: I LOVE it!! It's exactly the kind of thing I go for -Thank You, Thank You! :D I've already got it pinned to my Easter Basket -♥
I hope you enjoy the baseball season to the fullest!
Take Care & Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great NC postcard! I've never seen one quite like it, but I have always loved artwork like that. It's one of my favorites!Enjoy your baseball games! :D
Comment: Thanks for the card! Stayed up last night watching the US vs. Mexico ball game. The Brewers had Ryan Braun and Yovanni Gallardo in the game. Tomorrow we're going to Milwaukee to pick up our tickets for 2 baseball games in April. I love the dome in Milwaukee--you never get rained out. We've also got a team 30 miles north of here--Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
Comment: I love Thiebaud too. I enjoyed seeing some of his paintings in person at the National Gallery of Art this summer, I hadn't realized how thickly he applies the paint, making it look even more like frosting! Thanks for the great card!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card! I hope the last batch of storms wasn't so bad. We were supposed to catch some of that, I think, but never did. I'm tired of this weather myself. Thank goodness it's almost March!
Comment: Thank you for the nice flower painting postcard. I know what you mean by the crazy weather. Our groundhog actually didn't see his shadow but we have had colder weather now than earlier in the season. Take care.
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome postcard! I love it! I think you were lucky to have been able to visit the World Fair! Awesome! I noticed the postcard was stamped with a Raleigh cancellation stamp! I used to live in Raleigh & I was born in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville. I sure do miss it there a lot.
