Comment: Thanks for the lovely Ansel Adams card. I love his work. We are lovin' this rain as we are so desparate for it. You got it a lot worse. I hope all goes well from now on. My husband is thrilled that his fishing spots are coming back.
Comment: Thank you for the spiffy vintage shoes/legs/orchestra card, beautiful Ms. Monroe postage, and your message, Lisa! I hope the Hamilton tour dates/cities are announced soon, and I would love to see Wayne Brady take on Aaron Burr in Chicago -- a friend who saw the original Broadway cast and the original Chicago casts said she enjoyed both. Hope you get to see Hamilton soon!
Comment: I love getting postcards of work created by the sender. I've been having postcards printed and I'll be working on getting my stuff into local stores soon. Thanks for using those Christmas stamps. I didn't already have those!
Comment: Hi Lisa! Thanks for your pc which I thought it was great! The belief that an artist has to suffer is just a belief and I know NO belief is real! Lots of people whom I have met though does believe that very belief! Laughed at reading the back that did have an association with the front. These cards are great! See you are an artist yourself! We need to get our artwork out there for people to see so they can have a dialogue with others and have an experience upon seeing the work! YES!
Comment: This card is beautifully done! I like how you used the bull as an accent piece to a greater composition. Thank you! ♥ I hope your daughter has a wonderful time in Duluth-- it's gorgeous up there. :)
Comment: Thank you for your beautiful postcard! I'm happy for your tomatoes, mine are still quite small plants and no hope of blossom yet... but maybe one day, summer has just started, so there's much time to grow!
Comment: Thaks for the great koi flag card. We used to hang the for our sons when they were small. I don't watch knitting shows. I seem to knit differently than they do. Do you know about Ravelry online? Im there with the same user name.
Comment: ty, the cloth is so cute :) and I am so happy you found my shop too! i was solely a knitter for the longest time and then i wanted to make afghans and washcloths a lot faster so i got on youtube and bam taught myself how to hook, lol good luck!
Response: So glad you liked it! And your etsy store rocks!
Comment: Thanks for the dishcloth! I love it. The pattern is really cool and one I haven't seen before. I love knitting them, too (but HATE having to rip out rows!). I also enjoyed the cute doggy PC (and your SB card- what a great idea! ). Thanks, again. Happy knitting and swapping!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard. I have taken several similar pictures with statues in the past myself. How can you resist really? I hope the next Dresden book is amazing again and he can wrap up the series fairly quickly and on a high note. The last couple have been good but not as great as earlier books.
Response: Thanks for the speedy rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the dapper Mr. Clift card and great deco tape, Lisa! I am familiar with him from watching I Confess four summers ago at the local single-screen cinema :) Thank you for sharing more about him! (My apologies for the tardy rating -- it's been a busy, stressful week filled with pet abduction and recovery (I am still furious/upset at the neighbor responsible for this), lots of cooking and baking, community events, and out-of-town guests.) Hope you have a good weekend!
Response: He is indeed dapper! Glad your pet has made its way home.
Comment: Love the Ms. Krabappel postcard!! I bet teaching Theatre is so rewarding! I love working with students, and I try to stay positive, but by the end of the year, I really feel how the job has gotten more and more difficult each year. That's why I need the summer to regroup and reinvigorate myself! Sorry to hear you had to have radiation treatment but glad to know it's over and you're taking care of you, so you'll be able to get back to your students next year! Thanks for the postcard!
Response: Love the teaching--but by May we are all tired, kids and students! Summer's coming...
Comment: Thanks for your swap Lisa! I'm sorry to hear that real life is challenging for you, but I'm so glad you had a great 50th birthday bash. Thanks for the list - I had been wondering about The Storied Life of A J Fikry myself! All the best. :)
Comment: Thank you for the great Hopper card, Lisa! (Another partner mentioned how he enjoyed visiting the artist's house in NYC -- something for next trip :) I would love to see Hamilton again -- Ron Chernow is so lucky to get to go regularly, and the sound designer has a pair of primo seats for every show! Mm, I enjoy beans, too, from having lived in Texas for seven years. Happy weekend!
Response: I am tickled you liked the card. Cheers!
Comment: HAHAHAHAHA! the postcard you picked was PERFECT for this swap. We both had Rhett Butler and you have some awesome choices.... I haven't slogged through Pride and Prejudice, so I can't appreciate FD fully.
Comment: Thanks for the rec. Unfortunately it's nothing I'd ever read. Just not my cup of tea, I don't read a lot of non-fic, it has to be something that really holds personal interest for me to read it.
Response: It's not for everyone, I am sure. Thanks for the hear!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful row markers! The green IS perfect, as I mostly knit when the garden is off limits or inaccessible and it is cheerful to have a green reminder. If having knitting jewelry isn't cheerful enough, right?
Comment: Thank you for the neat assortment of movie cards! (And the tortoise hangs out under the heat lamp and prays for Summer to come back. He doesn't hibernate--Perhaps if we took the heat lamp away he would, but I am always cold...which means in my mind, the tortoise is always cold!)
Comment: Hi Lisa, The postcards you gave me from the estate sale you mentioned are just lovely! I do hope you try Harney & Sons brand tea, it's just fine and delicious tea. They do sell it at Whole foods but not as big selection as their the East Coast store or online. Thank you! 😀
Response: Be checking out that tea pronto! Thanks for the quick rating and heart.
Comment: Oh Lisa, what great cards - I love Le Petit Prince!! The Vegas Eiffel Tower is fun and the "Imagine" PC card is great too! Your pollen collector card is lovely - reminds me of my visits to the Los Angeles Arboretum. I hope you are having a lovely day! Take care.
Comment: I am glad we have had some rain but I really want more... I never water my yard/plants/trees, so I need the water during the winter! *grin* I bet the frogs sound amazing; what a way to fall asleep! I love this photos of your cat Taylor - very cool indeed! Take care and have a wonderful day!
Comment: Hi Lisa! TY for the great pc and sharing your memories with me - at times there are good and not so good memories - yep, that's life! I hope the pc brought back more Happy Memories and not too many challenging ones! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the beautifully made bookmark -- I really like it. Jane Austen is one of my favourite authors so it's nice to have an Austen-themed bookmark to use when I'm rereading the novels. Lovely notecard too.
Response: It was such a fun swap. Thanks for joining it!
Comment: Thank you for cover recommendations. I have a good friend who loves Robin Hobb and always tries to make me read her books. May be it's time I'll give them a try. What book do you think I should start with?
Response: I will send you a PM with my recommendation!
Comment: Lovely! My family has been drinking from (and storing and gifting in) [mason] jars from time eternal. I was crushed when peanut butter become only available in plastic. Thank you for a fun swap!
Comment: Reading and homework are great tips! And something I've always excelled at, so I like 'em. ;) Sorry for your recent/upcoming loss of spoons and I hope you get them back soon. The spoon theory is great! I'm going to host a swap for spoonies (as we call ourselves) in January. Will put you on the 'remind' list! Great meeting you here and hopefully we can meet up in January at Joann's. :) :D
Response: Glad you liked the tips! Thanks for putting me on the spoon list!
Comment: I love the photoand the story behind it, perfect choice :) I just started rewatching all the Outlander episodes since I can't bear to think how long we'll have to wait for the new season :/ wouldn't be a bad idea to start the books again as well... :D
Response: Those books were so good...since I can't seem to settle on anything lately, maybe a re-read is in order for me as well...good idea!
Comment: Thank you Lisa for the photos mounted on a card. That is a big ship. I would never get on one. Such a nice blue sky in the telephone ple photo and what fancy lights on the poles. I think that is what they are. What else would they be. Lol. Ours don't look nice.
Response: Neither do ours. I guess that's one of the benefits of a vacation! Thanks!
Comment: Great food pics, lovely note, super handmade envie and fun postage... a swap doesn't get better than this! I've never tried a fish taco and now I definitely have to give it a whirl. Thank you so much!
Comment: Hello, Lisa! Thank you for the fun tapes, they're awesome! I also love the washi circle stickers, I've seen them online but this is the first time I've ever gotten any! It'll be fun to incorporate them into my journal :)
Comment: Very cool painting! I love the theater also, do Broadway a couple of times a year, am a big fan of off broadway and esp the Castillo theater, NYC's premier youth and political theater. happy mails!!
Response: Glad you liked the pc! Will check out the Castillo theatre next time I'm there!
Comment: Thanks so much for the beautiful card. After reading your profile I thought I'd mention a couple things I'm doing. Forgive me if you already know all this. I belong to a postcard swapping group on facebook called Postcard World (swapping and collecting) It's the group that started this swap. If you don't already belong I think you'd enjoy. Also, I belong to Postcrossing which is an International postcard swapping group. Both are awesome and I've received some pretty wonderful pc's from all over the world. Again, sorry if I'm being presumptuous. Just wanted to spread the fun around.
Response: I have recently joined post crossing but didn't know about the FB group--so, many thanks!
Comment: I have always wanted to do Roller Derby! Your PC was so lovely and I especially enjoyed the awesome stamps. Thank you for sharing and for trying to pick out a "teapot" PC. the bowl is beautiful! I love museum cards. Thanks again and have a beautiful day!
Response: Derby rocks--please give it a try or go watch a game--so much fun. Thanks for the speedy rating!
Comment: I love the wonderful postcard! with the great vintage train stamps!! Thank you! yes i am in a ton of swaps lol! they keep me sane lol. I just make sure to check my dashboard daily and I do a couple of postcards pretty much everyday during the week. when the kids are in school and i'm supposed to be cleaning or doing laundry that never ends. lol but that stuff will always be there! I have deadlines to meet!
Response: Good advice indeed. Thanks for the speedy rating!
Comment: Love the interesting postcards, Lisa! Of course they'll find a home in my permanent collection - my fav's I think are the Oxford muti-view and the nude Greecian fisherman. The stamps were very cool too-the Post Office didn't even cancel them! thanks much-Carol in Denver
Response: So glad the PO is on our side! Glad the cards were well received. Thanks for the super speedy rating!
