Comment: Hello, thank you so much for your lovely and long letter. I am really glad you had a good year of 2019. It was such a pleasure to read through your points.
Stay creative and have an amazing day, also a even better year of 2020.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful card and lovely letter. Your past Christmas dinners sound memorable. Hope this Christmas is just as enjoyable!! Merry Christmas!PS I love the stickers on the front of the envelope!
Comment: I really enjoyed this swap, thankyou, starting with the brightly decorated envelope, the lovely card and best of all, your nice chatty note! It was a lovely little peek into your daily life and what's going on - thankyou for sharing! The bushfires are a worry over here, in most states. I ran into a friend boarding a plane for New South Wales, he was heading over there with a large group of fire fighters to help around Goondiwindi. He should be back in the next day or so, safe and sound! That aside, thanks for being an awesome swapper and 'Merry Christmas' to you and yours! Tracy
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card, letter and wishes, Emily. And I thought here, in Poland is cold in recent days, because it was - 5 'C Haha. I hate cold either :) Warm greetings from Poland! Best wishes :)

Response: I have a good friend in Victoria. Such a lovely place. I always visit Emily Carr house when I am there.
Comment: Thank you very much beloved swap partners, thank you for the very nice gifts for my son. He loves chocolate bilion dolars. And thank you for the wonderful English books. Son was very pleased with all the beautiful gifts.Big heart for you!!
Comment: Hi Emily! I am so excited to receive your christmas card and your letter! My BEST friend lives in Sudbury so it's pretty crazy to meet someone else (since I live in Princeton NJ USA!) HAHA!! It sounds like you're all set for Christmas ... and you're fortunate to have a White Christmas -- most years we don't have that here but the past few years we've been lucky! I wonder if this will be a lucky White Christmas year down here too!
Comment: Wow! What an incredible huge glittery, sparkly White Holiday card you sent me for the swap! Fun swap of the glittery, sparkly cards. Happy Holidays! Yes, I enjoy Postcrossing, my apt has postcards up on display. Lately I'm letting my Mom select postcards to display on the doors on her wardrobe.
Comment: lovely! I loved the letter about your holiday! One of my best friends is living in sudbury studying midwifery ad she sends me photos of the landscape so i could imagine it well! Have a great holiday and thanks for the well wishes for grad school-- i need them! :)
Response: About 10 years ago, I had 3 different students from the midwifery program room with me. We went on to have our daughter born at home with midwives. Its an excellent program here in Sudbury. I wish your friend well.
Comment: Can I just say "Thank You" for thee best Christmas and letter I received all month!!! I loved the penquins and will be making 3 tags out of your one card. I also really enjoyed reading your Christmas letter. It was a very rough Christmas holiday for me and I was blessed by this swap. Thank you,
Comment: Hi Emily: What a treat it was to receive your nice card and the stickers. I absolutely LOVED your letter sharing your Christmas memories. You are a great writer!! Thanks so much! Happy Holidays! :)
Comment: Dear Emily, thank you for the lovely holidays card! And a very big thank you for the letter! I loved to read your letter about your Christmasses! I wish you very happy days and a wonderful new year!
Greets and hugs, Aafke
Comment: Thank you for the Christmas card and the lovely extras! We also have a toddler and a baby in the house, so it'll be a rather 'busy' Christmas, but I'm still looking forward to it, as this time my older son (1 yo 5 months) actually understands something about the presents, and it'll be the first Christmas of our 4 month old son :) Happy holidays!
Response: Have fun with those young ones! Sarah is almost 2 and she is very interested this year in everything!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard! :) I'd love to write you back but the address on the card got wet in the way, so I cannot read it properly. Could you please message me your address? Thanks and happy holidays! :)
Comment: Thank you for the Tiffany Grape Arbor pc and the books. I am interested in American History so I may just look up the Benedict Arnold novel. Right now I'm reading diaries of women during the Civil War.
Comment: Thanks for the great card, the bags and the great note! I love the snowflake stickers too! When our son was a toddler, he seemed to have more fun with the boxes that his presents came in, than the presents themselves! LOL Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Hello Emily,
Thank you for the extra postcard you sent along with the traveling postcard. I really like the traveling postcard too. I will make sure I sign the traveling postcard and send it on time.
Response: Glad you liked it :) This is a fun swap series. Emily :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely teas! I tried the white tea, blueberry, cranberry flavor & loved it! I had it iced :) Can't wait to try the wild sweet orange--I love anything citrus flavored--and chai is my favorite so I know I'll enjoy that one! Thank you for the extra tea & for reading my profile. You are awesome, hope to swap with you again soon!
Comment: Thank you so much for the articles and the lovely note. The card is beautiful. I appreciate that you explained the importance of the articles and how they pertain to your personal life :) The Relay for Life article touched my heart - so great to see those children and other survivors honored. I remember visiting the Seattle Science Center on many occasions. It was definitely something I enjoyed - I'm sure your daughter will appreciate your time together at the center there. Glad the gallery has found a new space after all these years!
Comment: Thank you for all the awesome stamps! Right on with introducing your daughter to good music so early! \m/ (that's a rock hand) I love watching babies and little kids bouncing around to music, most seem to really respond to it.
Comment: Thank you for the darling card and the cute stickers. I will indeed be using those up quickly. Merry Christmas! I wanted to add, thank you as well for including the letter, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Comment: Emily, what a wonderful bundle you sent. I'm thrilled with the pincushion and all the other goodies. You certainly worked to send me things I could use. I promise I will share the few things I might not have a use for. Thank you so much! No problem on the timing; hope your little one stays well and gives you a little time to yourself to sew!
Comment: Thankyou so much for resending after the original one went astray in the mail Love the Byron quote and I love this card and my neighbour's cacti won't be safe now, 'cos I want to make that jelly !
Comment: Thank you so much for taking the time to write me such a thoughtful letter---your husband sounds like a wonderful guy and I'm so glad you're enjoying your new little one! Thank you also for the stamps and tea...that was such a nice surprise. I just really appreciate your thoughtfulness---one of the nicest swaps I've received!

Response: Looking forward to hearing from you! The superbowl was the only game I watched on TV this past season. Pretty sure I slept through part of it, being very pregnant at the time. Emily :)
Comment: Your postcard arrived today, and I really love the art work,it reminds me of the Native American art work that I have.It has all the hidden pictures that you can turn and find new images..and thanks for lovely poem the poem
Comment: Thank you for the resend. It was really special :)
Response: I definitely sent the Random Words poem to you.
The poem would have been either "Water Skiing" or "Winter Hike" I will resend today, and send both poems I wrote for this swap. If there is an issue in the future though, I would appreciate a private message before rating me as a 1.
Comment: Great to hear from you as always! I can't wait to finally use our stroller, even just up and down the block...just waiting for it to warm up a bit. It's been overcast since we got home and even rained while we were in the hospital.
Comment: I love your poems! I've written a few, but in the end I didn't send them along to my partners. Too chicken, I guess. I've looked at Tanka Tuesdays and even watch listed them, but writing 5 is just way to stressful. Now if you'd started with one, I'd be all for it! I've got it written in my lesson plan for next week, too, my fourth graders (who are now experts at haiku! will be writing Tankas! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful poetry.
Response: I have made a Tanka on a Postcard Swap with your request for 1 tanka in mind. Do hope you join! So excited to hear you are trying them in your class. Please pm me and let me know how your students enjoyed the excercise! Emily :)
Comment: Emily, it's so good to get "real" poems from some who understand writing poetry -- so many think simply rhyming is writing poetry. I enjoyed your poems. Even though it's an "occasional" poem, I liked Cold Pail most of all.
Comment: Mmmm, Gershwin... I was just singing some yesterday in the car, thinking that I need to unearth my "Red Hot and Gershwin" CD. Btw, took me a while to realise that you didn't have an 'anipod' full of hypnobirthing music, but 'an iPod'. I blame your swapped pics for my stupidness! ;)
Comment: I'm in awe and mesmerized with the quilt block, could jump and down for joy. You created a fabulous masterpiece, would love to have half of you talent. I'm very grateful for this beautiful piece! Loved the note, also.
Response: Thanks for your very kind words. That is a court house block, the same that I sent you for the WTA block instructions, only I didn't use the same measurements. Emily :)
Comment: How lovely that you sent a poem you wrote yourself! I was not brave enough to do that. Thank you. I can't relate to your poem on a personal level since I've not and never will have kids, but it is very well written and quite compelling. I enjoyed it! I shall have to write you a return letter soon to cover the fun topics of Japan! Til then (or the next swap!) have a good New Year!
Response: Looking forward to your letter! Be Brave - send me one of your poems! I would love to read them.
Comment: Thank you for the nice card! I really like it!
I am happy that you liked Brugge! I grew up not so far from there. Now I live in leuven which is a really nice old university city with lovely buildings! I completely fell in love with this city!
Happy holidays and congratulations with your soon to be born baby! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the card and your writing. DH was in timber industry and we lived in Mississauga, London Ont, Thunder Bay and North Bay. We often stayed in Sudbury on our travels - small world!! Perhaps you'll visit our shores one day - let me know when......I wish you every joy and pleasure with your expectant little one - take are of you both. Much love, M
Comment: Thank you so much for the gorgeous Card. My little ones are quite taken with the picture on the front and it is now on our fridge. We too are expecting another bub in April! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and goodluck with the birth. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Tamara x
Response: April will be pretty hot for you still. Did you get caught up in the floods last year?
