Comment: Thank you for your nice comments about a couple of my recent postings. The 52 Weeks of Giving is a good way to get kids interested in volunteering and making a difference. I'd highly recommend it. I'll be posting each week what my daughters do, so check back if you're interested in doing your own version of the 52 Weeks of Giving (http://harvestmoonbyhand.blogspot.com).
Response: Well my girls are realy young, so it would be nice to start them young. Something that we will do (I've already started stockpiling), if your kids get coloring pages or whatever from church or even at home, save them up and then you take a whole bunch to a nursing home and pass them out. I know some people who have done this and the elderly people loved it.

Comment: I heard some of these a lot when I was growing up, too, esp. the one about being late (no one wants to wait!). While my mom only got cut flowers every so often from her friends and my dad, she still plants tulips and daffodils every year. Fun swap!
