Comment: :O This thing is big!
The best kitchen/baking stickers I have ever seen.
So many papers, the space ones I think our my favorite.
Then the little maple leaves.
And just when I thought it was done there is a little envelope with more stickers...Can you be my secret santa?
Comment: Happy Monday Allison!!! Thank you so much for the goodies. Honestly, I love everything especially the quote you enclosed from Mother Theresa.....so wonderful. All the items will be put to use...the postcard to very neat! Thank you for your kindness, Cindy
Comment: Thank you. There was no note, so I’m assuming this is the swap.
Response: Oh no! I thought I put it in there but I can't for the life of me remember. My baby has been up all hours of the night for weeks with colic so I am lucky to get up and get my clothes on right some days. So sorry! Thank you for doing some investigating and figuring it out.
Comment: Hi Allison! Oh, how I loved your journal!!! You are such a talented and gifted writer! I loved your stories so much and learning about your life. I know I am so much older than you but we could still so be friends I think! So many of the things you wrote about resonated with me and I've been there done that and all the things! I am not religious, I don't like politics, pet peeves had me yelling YES! Me TOO! I was laughing at how your hubby eats all the sweets, mine does the same!!! I have creative ways to hide all the sweets!!! He will eventually root it out, I call him the El Raton (he told me this meant the rat in Spanish but I have not looked it up). LOL! I travel A LOT! I've been to Jamaica, Mexico, Germany, Holland, Dubai, Jordan, Ireland, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahamas, all over the U.S. and much more than I can even remember, I think I've been to most all the Caribbean.
I too want to go to Alaska and Hawaii and tons and tons more places. I've always been a traveler, I just love it! I hope you get to go home soon, I can see in your heart you need your family and your mountains! I'm that way with Texas, I've never left it and don't know how I'd survive without it! I love visiting your mountains though!!! Where you love snow, I love heat and floating the river! I have two kids and I also didn't want children until I did. I had them a bit late, age 28 and 31. They are all grown up now and on their own, I miss them being here SO MUCH! I know how you feel not working and being a stay at home mom, I did it for a while, I always worked too and it was foreign to me not to. I also felt like I was overburdened. Honestly I was, most moms are, we love so hard and see the world so differently. I was out of the work force for 3 years, I loved it and I hated it. It's just a season I'm here to tell you. I know you hear it all the time but enjoy those babies because that time does fly by. My son is a brain cancer survivor and his story (he was 14) and what we went through forever changed the way I see the mundane journey we live, I found out that the mundane every day life is the eden we all seek, and we just don't know it. Thank you again for sharing your life and your heart with me. It truly made me smile, I loved it so much! And all the postcards, they are beautiful!!!! Have a wonderful summer! Tell your hubby thank you for his service (and yours too!). He can't do it without you!! I work with many military members and I love them so much (Defense Contractor) Hugs hugs hugs! Hang in there mama!!! Deanna aka babyblues65
Comment: Warm Winter Greetings,
Thank you for all Christmas themed extras. Smiles abound!
I have been away from home since Thanksgiving, so it was like Christmas to open up all my swaps.
Comment: Hi Allison,
Your Journal is AMAZING! I love your writing prompts and all the details you put into the journal. Thanks for all the goodies and the recipes. I don't like beets either but Brussels sprouts are good. I hope the deployment curse has leveled out, and that the rest of your pregnancy is as comfortable as pregnancy can be.
Thank you for the great, beautiful and unbelievably creative journal.
Comment: We're both Allison's! Congratulations on the pregnancy! Your journal was lovely. Your sketches are amazing. Thank you for sharing your writing with me, you know how to rise to a challenge! You have quite a bucket list! I want badly to go up in a hot air balloon! Kudos to you for handling your "wild child" and COVID19 and being pregnant; you're amazing! Thank you for sharing your month with me!
Comment: Thank you for all the fun goodies! Cant wiat to use them. :-). I am looking forward trying the cranberry cider recipe. love the vintage childrens book page:-). The puppy stickums are so cute. I will enjoy using everything. Thanks again and have a great day!
(sorry for the delayed rating; I have been out of state caring for my mom post stroke. I have just recently returned home). Thank you for understanding.
Comment: I haven't had a chance to read through your journal yet, but I can tell that I'm going to enjoy it - I love the black and white and all the pictures you drew (you draw very well!) and all the different topics you included. Thank you!
Comment: WoW! What a wonderful swap! First, I want to say how much I loved your handmade envelope! I would love to learn how to make envelopes! Thank you for the vellum, stickers, papers, Snoopy memo sheets, other memo sheets and the calendar sheet of Fri 13th!
Comment: Your journal is so beautiful and creative! My youngest has been flipping through it telling me what she loves about different pages (the one with the unicorn is her favorite) and said that it’s the coolest journal because you made it/didn’t just buy it! :)
Response: I am so glad you liked it. It was a lot of work but I think it turned out well.
Comment: I wish I could give extra hearts for this! It was an amazing piece! So creative. (I loved the extra Starbucks cards-thanks!!!) I really appreciate all the effort you put into this, it's beautiful. I am taking my time going through it, so that I can read everything.
Comment: Thanks Allison for all the Fall goodies. This is my first swap of this sort and I love it. You game great ideas for items I can put in my next swap, I've already got myself signed up for your Xmas swap. So far this has been my favorite swap :-)
Comment: Technically you did stand up to the swap's requirements, but you could have definitely put a little more effort into the swap. Sending 3-4 individual cut out stickers and 4-5 small cutouts is a bit disappointing.
Response: I'm sorry you didn't like it. I couldn't send a huge envelope internationally because if money constraints. We had a lot of unexpected costs this month because we were hit by a hurricane.
Comment: Thank you very much for the journal! Your artwork is beautiful and I love all of the momentos from your trip. I’m glad your house was safe from storm damage, I feel heartbroken for everyone who lost so much due to the storm.
Comment: Thanks for the stuffed full of goodies envelope! The dog in the sweater card is really cute! I see lots of dogs with sweaters out walking with their owners this time of year-its getting chilly here. Thanks for sharing-Happy Fall!

There is so much here, I still have some to read yet, but have time :) Thank you for hosting these swaps. I have been in 4 journal swaps and this is the first one that I am really thrilled to have received. Thank you!
Comment: Wowie! What a cool envelope full of all sorts of goodies -- Thanks so much ! PS: Just a heads up -- There was postage due -- Just remember - if the envie is over 1/4 in., or other "abnormalities" -- it's going to cost a bunch more postage. Don't worry - I covered it - But, just be advised, for next time. Thanks again for the swap!
Comment: ♥♥♥♥♥THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!♥♥♥♥♥ for the awesome ornament!! I am left speechless other that God I LOVE Snowmen LOL. You did such a wonderful job ♥ and it has definitely given me inspiration on how to use up my own clay (provided that it's still good lol). I am excited to have this on my tree. Thank you so much again!! Happy swapping to you :)
Comment: Thank you for the postcards. lol I realize X was hard to do - but you aced it with the X in the windmill. I especially like the card because living close to LA - it's a place I've heard of often. Good job Allison.
Comment: Thank you for the Flatiron PC. I love that building. Would love to see it in person. Wow, your uncle is head of homicide. That is not a job I would want. It takes a special person to go into that line of work.
Comment: It sounds like you've got some ambitious goals for the coming year, Allison! I wouldn't mind a trip to Nepal myself. :-) Thank you for sharing your plans with me.
I used to live in North Carolina many years ago, and remember enjoying it at the time, but I think I'd be afraid to live there now. Everything I hear on the news makes me worry. I hope you're having a good experience there!
Take care, -Fred
Comment: Happy mail-you know I have never heard(or remembered) hearing that quote by POE-very nice and true. And you sent me a beautiful leaf from NC(although it is in several pieces-still beautiful! Thanks for the other stickers and goodies-Happy Fall!
Response: I'm sorry the leaf didn't make it. I had second thoughts as soon as I dropped it in the mail but it was too late by then. Oh well! At least everything else made it!
Comment: Thank you for the awesome camera, photos, & suitcase postcard! I think it is one of my favorite ones I have had sent to me! Very cool photo! Family is a treasure, glad you got to see them recently! Thank you!
Comment: Belated, belated (I thought I was up-to-date in rating and just found a pile of mail that my family had mislaid) thank you for the beautiful fox card, Poe quote, and your multicolored message, Allison! Have you taken the sorting quiz/test for Ilvermorny (the American wizarding school) on Pottermore yet? Hope you are having a good fall! <3
Comment: Hi Allison! I got your envie, with Spooky Story. Thank you soooo much, for a hauntingly good scare. Made my hairs on my neck raise up, that's for sure! I had a similar experience with a basement ghost. Only this ghost me,& more than once too. I happened to be pregnant w/ my 1st baby at the time too, in 1981. Lucky I didn't lose the baby, due to it pushing me down & all. It was horrifying! Thank you again! Oops, I forgot. Thank you for the Halloween stickers too. Love Halloween!
Comment: Hello Allison! Love the dog card! I'm glad We share the same great taste! It's OK if you like the walking dead though, I hope you'll know what to do to save us from the zombie apocalypse! Have a wonderful day and thanks for the postal smiles from happy mail!
Comment: What a wonderful bunch of stuff! I can't wait to use everything! The yarn is my perfect yellow, and the chocolate is great! The tea should be fine - one of my favorites. And just everything is great! Including the umbrella! Thanks so much - can't wait for another rainy day!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderfully thoughtful assortment of cards you sent, Allison -- I loved every one of them :) The view of Manhattan through the Brooklyn Bridge with the World Trade Towers was especially haunting, bittersweet, and beautiful. Hope your fall is off to a good start and that we cross paths again soon :) <3
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely postcard. I'd appreciate your passing my respect and my thanks to your husband for his service. Also my thanks to you and your family sacrifice as your husband protects our freedoms. God bless American and I continue to pray for his protection for all of our brave soldiers serving wherever they are.
Comment: Thanks so much for the typewriter postcard! I love it! I love your dog's name, too! That's so cool that you are a dog trainer! I am so bad at keeping my Gully in line. He's kind of high maintenance, but so cute and cuddly, I don't mind at all!
Comment: Allison, thank you for the lighthouse postcard. You'll like New Bern. Lots of great little stores and all of New Bern bears. Must be close to a hundred of them, they are all over the city. Cute. Shirley
Comment: Thank you so much for your long chatty letter... I LOVED it!! Ben was my heart dog so I know EXACTLY what you mean. I don't know if I usedthe term in the letter... I remember hesitating over it because some people don't get it. I ENJOYED Jack more, and miss him dreadfully....and I think he was smarter and better trained and I loved him to bits... But Ben is my heart dog. A sweet sweet soul whose place can never really be filled. And I'm SO excited to hear about yoyr therapy dogs and the court idea... That was EXACTLY what I'd hoped to do with Jack, but he simply was taken a bit too soon for me to work on it. I'd LOVE to be able to train some dogs for CCI... Do you purchase a puppy and donate it? Do you foster their puppy? Let's do another swap and you can explain.
Also, what kind of journal swap are you hoping for? I do journal swaps and might be interested if it's something I feel like I can really put myself into, and figure out the time. (Edited: i gorgot to thank you for the doggy goodies... That little face looks like Ben!!)
Response: Let's do another swap for sure! I'm always up for it. As you can see, I can go on and on and on about dogs. Your letter was so much more creative.
Anyway, I was thinking a composition book that is used for art, journal, whatever you want that you fill out a page a day over like a month then send it to the other person. I've done those before and loved them.
