Comment: Love the beautiful wildflower card... I'm looking up the artist as I type! :) And Thank You for two books worth of 1st and last lines, they both look like good reads. You made me laugh, saying you've read all the classics and good stuff "so on to weird"!!! Haha, brilliant!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome charm squares and for the batik fat quarter! I love fabrics where the dots are represented in a different setting. I do love the ones that are traditional polka dots as well. Well, I love dots and I love fabrics so there you go! LOL!
Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Hi! Just a quick update! I just opened my solstice stocking stuffers and just love this beautiful ornament with the crystal! I will hang it in my room all year round! Hope you are doing well! Thanks again!
I hope you are doing well. No worries about the lateness...I know that there are troubles with the post offices too.
Comment: I am giving you a five because you did send a stocking stuffer and it arrived without being late. However, it did not have a tag or sticker on the wrapping saying it was a stocking stuffer (part of the swap requirements) which caused me to open it early not realizing what it was. It was sent a week past the send date with no communication and after your previous flake over an Imbolc card I wasn't holding out hope on ever receiving this. Normally I would rate a 3 for this but I'm just too exhausted by this entire process. I'm glad you finally fixed all of this but I highly suggest not joining any new swaps until you can commit to them because this kind of behavior is an ongoing theme with you and its really frustrating as your partner to have no communication or idea of whats going on. I would have been much more easy-going if you let me know you wouldnt be able to get to the post office for a week or whatever else happened. But not communicating made this snowball.
Comment: Lynne, thank you SO MUCH for this wonderful witchy handmade gift! I absolutely fell in love with it! It’s on my altar next to the petrified wood. They look good together :) Thank you thank you thank you! Really grateful for your gift <3
Response: Thank you. It was just an idea that came to me when I saw the Birch trees.
Comment: Thank you for participating in this swap during the chaos and upheaval of COVID-19. You are an awesome swap-partner and a wonderful human being! Sending you all the hearts and love. I adore the art journal that you made and sent to me. <3
Comment: Thank you for looking into this getting lost in the mail. I hope it turns up, but it likely won't. I'm sure it was a lovely item you sent to me.
UPDATE: Thank you for resending! I absolutely love it, and am currently using this as a bookmarker. Thank you again!
Response: Thank you for the rating. I think we should wait several days, and see if it turns up. I will try to get something in the mail to you as a replacement.
Comment: Thank you for the most beautiful postcard. I adore the colors of the fabric you pick and all the wonderful stitching. This is such an awesome piece of art that I will display it proudly. Hugs, Mona
Comment: Lynne, the postcard is just wonderful! Thank you for such a beautiful concept and execution. I have a fabric journal for my favorite needlework and this little work of art will have a special page.
Comment: Wow! What a stunning fabric postcard! It is absolutely gorgeous. The shimmery blue background with just a hint of purple and green and the metallic thread are a perfect combination with the golden moon and star :) I am so honored to add this to my collection -- thank you so much for such a beautiful piece of mail art :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your moon postcard made out of fabric. Just love it. I used to work a lot with fabric and felt but I can't hold the needle anymore with my hands. But I still love everything made out of fabric so thank you very much for this swap!
Comment: Lynne, the fabric postcard you made and sent to me is absolutely beautiful, and has to be one of my top five swaps ever received. I felt such joy when I opened up your package tonight. The fabric postcard you made and sent to me is absolutely beautiful, and I will always treasure your work of art. This will certainly be one of my top swaps for the year. Thank you so much.
Response: Oh Thank you! I am making the whole year in fabric for both swaps .
Comment: Wow! What a gorgeous PC! I LOVE it! Thank you! I've been wanting to do a fabric one myself, but haven't attempted it yet. It has been colder than usual here, but still sunny, so it doesn't feel quite so cold. Balmy weather by your standards, I'm sure! 50/65 low & high.
Comment: Wow! What an awesome piece of art work! I just adore this piece so much. I have always wanted to try seeing art pieces. Thank you for such a unique piece to add to my sunshine collection! Hugs, Mona
Comment: To answer your question.. the "official" size is 3.5, so if you buy the actual Zentangle tiles, they will be 3.5. They are really really spendy, though. I can't afford them. So, I just cut 3.5 inch squares out of cardstock and use those.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty granny square dish cloth. The colors that you used go very well with each other. There are times you just have to use up the partial balls or skeins of yarn and these patterns lend themselves great to doing that.
Comment: I love this crocheted/knitted bird! It's so whimsical! The peacock bookmark is beautiful. I will have fun coloring the postcards. The other bookmark will be perfect to use when I'm reading on my boat. No, no Spring here yet either!! Last year by now my roses were in full bloom, but this year nothing so far but cold and wind :(
Comment: Never received this. Will happily change rating if I do receive. update: Sorry! Thanks for providing the tracking info. The tracking number does prove that you sent it and it was delivered. I see no reason to complain to the Post Office, if they delivered it to the porch it isn't their fault if someone took it, and they would have no way of getting it back. Oh well! Thank you anyway
Response: Thank you for the 5. I will try to replicate some of it soon, for you.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card! We've had a really mild winter with lots of cold and wind, but very little snow. Thankfully the birds have found the new bird feeder on the front porch. Lots of music for the day!
Comment: I re-rated you from the original 3 I gave for it being late, understand your situation and love what you send. Glad you are signing up for fewer swaps so you can find the balance again. It is only fair to get the 3 when you are late as it is a requirement of the swap to send on time, AND to communicate. I know that stress takes its toll on us, however, recipients need to know that their partner honors who they are as well. I honestly felt pressured into changing this from the 3 it deserves to the 5 you want.
Response: Well there is obviously nothing I can do about this. My life has been hectic and stressful and I got very late with getting swaps finished and in the mail. I am cutting back some. I am sorry for the issues and that this will now ban me from swaps I would like to participate in. Also sorry about the birthday candles i was trying to save some money.
Comment: Thank you for the handmade booklet, the 2 birthday size candles, the charm key tool, fabric, frog stickers and colored page.. I will use the skull fabric as an altar cloth as I write the answers to the swap questions.
Comment: You spoil me. The lavender smells so good! Thank you so much for the beautiful handmade mug rugs & the pretty fan. I am enjoying a cup of tea right now. You are one of the most thoughtful people on Swapbot. Hugs <3
Comment: I am archiving swaps and double checking that I rated and I am so glad. I apologize for the late rating. I remember opening the envelope and being so excited. I can't believe I dropped the ball on rating. Thank you so much for the lovely things for my journal. ♡
Comment: Portland Zoo used to have some wolves, but they were taken away to make room for the elephant enclosure. (They went to a Wolf Rescue place where they can run free, so it was better for them). The wolves on the bookmark you sent look just like the she-wolf I used to take pictures of at the zoo! So pretty! Thank you!!
Comment: Thank you for the nice house blessing spell kit :) These feathers are so cool! I will use the crocheted doily to place my pot of hot tea on. pretty shell, stones & salt will go in my altar box to use soon...I have not had much ME time lately. Awe, thank you for the December surprise. Try and stay warm <3 I hope you feel back to yourself soon!
Response: So glad you like everything. I really enjoy stitching feathers, birds, and sugar skulls. By the way the surprise is the january stocking stuffer.
Comment: It is just so tempting, but I will control myself until December 21st. Thank you for whatever it is...I am sure I will love & your pretty coloring on the note. many happy blessings your way in 2018!!!
Comment: Thank you for the Times Square coloring card. The only store here that I have even seen coloring cards is Joann's. We no longer have a Borders here the nearest is about 50 miles away in Kansas City, KS.
Comment: Hello Lynne,
Thank you for the lovely job you did on the section of the postcard you colored with gel pens, pencils, and markers. I like the gold used on the ground and the colored stones. The gazebo is beautiful. Thank you for the butterfly coloring page you sent me. I will enjoy coloring it.
Comment: I am going to wait until this weekend to open it, but I just know I will love it! We were far from the fires, just got a little bit of smoke ;) We are having a crazy heatwave right now! I hope you have/had fun at the Renessiance &/or Fairy festival! I go the Ren Faire every year & have always wanted to go to a Fairy fest! I am going to 2 Dia de Los Muertos festivals this weekend! Blessings to you <3
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful leaves mounted on the beautiful meditation poem :) I will put it in my book...that I need to start creating already LOL! Blessings to you <3 Thank you for the pretty autumn pot holders too!
Comment: Thank you for communicating with me about the timing of this swap! I have had a package slip in my PO Box for a couple weeks, but never able to get to the PO when they are open. How kind of you to make a Wonder Woman journal and bookmark for me!
Comment: Awe, I love my Spell Sack so much <3 Thank you for putting so much thought & love into it. I will treasure it. I really like jingle bells too...it's adds another spiritual element, clearing the air & the sound makes me happy. I also added a shell in the bag I sent out: "Seashells enable us to gain clarity and gain insight so that we might make better decisions and life choices. They support and guide us , and nudge us along our path to happiness and fulfillment."
Thank you also for the braided & beaded bracelet :)
Comment: She is spectacular. Your artistry skills always amaze me. Thank you also for the extras and for the note. Its hot, hot, hot here, so I only get outside early mornings or evenings. Plants go through a 3 year growth after planting (sleep, creap, leap) & because of all the spring rains, they have all leaped, especially weeds!
Comment: Hello Lynne,
Thank you for the postcard you put your coloring talent into for the person who will receive this back. You did a beautiful job with the gel pen and micron pen. Thanks for all your efforts.
Comment: Thank you for the swap items, they were actually really, really pretty. Just try to remember to follow swap requirements. It was received late after Litha, and the items sent weren't really from the list you were supposed to pick from. But thank you for sending nice-quality items.
Comment: Hello Lynne,
Your postcard that you sent had 1 area to color and it was ready to go back to its owner. I wanted to give you credit for your efforts. I completed the fourth space and mailed it back to the owner. You did a beautiful job on the coloring
Comment: i am in love with my neck shawl- please send me the pattern! and the colors were just PERFECT- they suit me PERFECTLY- thank you so much!
Response: so glad you like it. I forgot to send the washing instructions.... machine wash cold gentle cycle lay flat to dry yarn Red Heart Unforgettable.. one of my favorite because of the great colors.
Comment: OMG/dess!!!!!!! Seriously??? This is absolutely wonderfully beautiful!! I was expecting a little box made of cardstock, and instead got this fabulous creation of yours!!! If I could give you 100 hearts, I would!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response: thank you I do get carried away some times i just have to do this ideas!
Comment: I hate having to do this, especially when the person is a group member but I never received this and when I messaged you, you said nothing of resending, just "Hope it arrives eventually." This is over a month late now and although I have no interest in receiving a Yule card in January, I can't rate you positively if I don't receive anything. I emailed you a second time warning you I would have to rate this way and you did not reply. **Update** the re-send arrived today. Thank you for making this right.
Response: your replacement card was mailed last week Thank you so much for your patience! i really hope you get both cards.
Comment: We love it ad I certainly can tell it's a bunny at the bottom, lovely both will hang as part of our celebration. Thank you the mini tapestry is very beautiful and the hanging joins others sharing the light. We can also dream and plan the garden.
Comment: The first set of items arrived and did not seem very samhain, a rubber bat, a voodoo doll, and 2 black tealight candles. After I PMed you, you sent me a handmade altar cloth. Thank you for sending it to fix the swap. I hope you are feeling better.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable socks, and the fun bat stickers. I wear Halloween socks every day, starting the first day of Autumn, and am always happy to have a new pair to show off. Thank you for the fun package. Have a beautiful week, and happy swapping.
Comment: I just loved your swap. The altar cloth and mini-booklet were just perfect -- and the incense was a nice touch :-) The buttons will be put to good use. I really appreciated the thought that you put into this swap. Blessings to you and your family!
Comment: thanks! the one with the concentric rings is my favorite. it reminds me of OP art! cant wait to see what it looks like in color. I actually was considering doing this in a shading technique with pencil...still have not decided! thanks!
Comment: You did a fantastic job with this swap! I loved how creative you were with the journal and I was thrilled to see the mini cross stitch kit! I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. It made my day :-)
I do have to apologize for taking so long to rate - I was away last week and am just catching up with things now.
Comment: Hi Lynne, fun to have you as a partner again! Thanks so much for the embroidered lavender sachet! I love the geometrical pattern to the embroidery, and I love veragated threads! And I love lavender! Thanks for the awesome swap! Good luck on downsizing.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely Mandala. You put a lot of effort into it and it really shows. I love your color choices too. My granddaughter Alyssa told me it came from Cinderella. I agree... Thank you so much...
Comment: Beautiful! I can't even believe how detailed this is.... you are amazing! I look forward to making this a center piece in a quilt top with the other embroidery squares I have received over the years. THANK YOU!!!! Also Thank you for the beautiful quote embroidery. It is so colorful and detailed. I can't stop looking at it. You're the best!
Comment: Great selection of pins! Like you, I'm fascinated by the possibilities of using fabric and embroidery for inchies and am looking forward to trying it out. There's lots of inspiration on your board -- thank you for sharing it with me. And I thought those Zentangled inchies you found were great -- I've already downloaded the patterns so I can try them out!
Comment: Hello Lynne:
I received my dishcloth (green) in the mail this afternoon. I really like the shell stitch you used and the varies hues of green colored yarn too. I have it out on my kitchen counter top for display for now. I will use it after St. Patrick's Day.
Comment: Thanks for the peachy dishcloth and peach pie recipe. In the future, you should probably note the send deadline and be prepared to send early if it lands on a no-mail holiday rather then sending late.
Comment: Wow what a packed little sweet winter altar box :) I love it all! My son grabbed the felt and made a tiny blanket for himself haha! My favorite item is the rose petals inside the tiny jar. I think I'll make a necklace with it. Thanks <3
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful little baskets! I opened them up with my dogs next to me and Lucy tried to steal one. I think she thought it was a hat for her! Thank you again! They'll be holding candy on my desk next holiday season.
Comment: You made me SO happy today! I LOVE the pencil bag (good thing you made it big for me!! Lots of pencils and pens on this here desk). The bag is so pretty and so thoughtful, I so appreciate it. And the contents couldn't have been better (even if there were no kisses :) ) - the seahorse stamp, the cute little bow maker (very cool) so many goodies. I can't thank you with enough hearts! Merry Christmas to you :)
Comment: Thank you for the great big Christmas colored washcloth. Just what I need. I will actually use it to cover one of my ugly wood trivits that I use on my table. It will look so festive on my table. Many thanks and Happy Christmas.
Comment: Thank you so much! What a lovely package! I love the sugar skull ornaments, all the embroidered details are so nice! On the white skull it just POPS! Then on the darker one, did you crochet the eyes? It looks like it! Thanks also for the pumpkin pin cushion. Thanks also for the cross stitch kit :-) and treat! I hope you had a nice Halloween! We went to hot springs and soaked (that is why it took me a bit to rate)
Comment: Thank you for the leaf shaped bookmark! I love the hand stitched details of the veins and the colorful stem, the 2nd leaf that will dangle out of the book! It is always nice swapping with you, Lynne!
Comment: Thank you for the Virgo ornaments! I really love the one with a woman on it! I wish I could embroider better. I need to stick mostly to cross-stitching as I can't keep my stitches even when I embroider.
Comment: Absolutely Love it.. You Did a Beautiful Job on the Embroidery and Love the Bird... These could get Addicting. I want to make some more....These would make nice toppers for Gifts and You could do their names on them.. Thank You again...25 million Hearts...
Comment: Very Pretty colors and the "J" is eye catching...! ! Thank You...Planted 28 Golden Raspberries Yesterday... and 26 Red raspberry plants on Sat. so I know what busy is... Hugs.. My son's wedding is in July..
Comment: Nice Tree and I love the Sassafras leaf Sticker! ! I used to have that tree at the corner of the house and want to grow one.. Thanks for the Dragon Fly ant the ATC, Thank you for joining the Swap...! ! ! !
Comment: Hi Lynn! I got your Zentangle Deco Book yesterday, and sat right down and breathed a while, and made a tile for your book! I had fun making it, too! I hope you like it! Thank you very much for joining my swap! ;-)
Comment: You put a lot of work into the bag! I use you first recycled envelope in my car to hold napkins, straws, etc, so I will use this one for stamps and receipts. The belt is perfect for a dress I am making for my grand daughter - the design allows me to put buttons anywhere to fit! Many many thanks.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful Autumn fabric bowl :) Did you serge the edges or use a zigzag stitch? Did you use a double-sided fusible interfacing? Teehee, so many questions! I just love the bowl!
Response: So glad you like it. They were fun to make. I used a zig zag stitch and dubble sided fusing. I got the pattern from a swap in the free pattern creations group. You should join that group and the fabric post card group. There are great swaps there too. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I just love your bunnie board and many of the other boards on your pinterest site. I will have to check some of them. We have some interests that are the same, like quilting, sewing. I so want to try Zentangle but haven't done so yet.
Comment: Thank you for all the beautiful pics! I love sunflowers and you found so many beautiful ones! I had to stop myself from pinning or I would have spent all day just looking for the right pics to pin. Lol. Hope you don't mind if I repin a few...
Comment: Thanks so much for the clutch! I love that it is made from plastic bags. I was recently looking at making reusable snack bags from melting plastic bags together, but wasn't sure how it would turn out. The embellishments are great and I love that you made two separate pockets in the clutch. I'm a big fan of organization :) Thank you for the extra tape as well! That was a treat. Have a lovely day :)
Comment: I don't know about you, but I am super excited for Monster's University! ....but I'm going to avoid opening weekend and go later at night to avoid being judged for being an adult in a kid's movie.
Also...I love For the Birds, too. It cracks me up, no matter what mood I'm in.
Comment: The DIY cross stitch on the bag, Old jeans to bag, Lydia Dierwechter one of a kind bags, the boston bag. I thoroughly enjoyed your board. So many DIY bags and so many ideas was just so refreshing to look through. Thank you.
Comment: You are not late - 10 more days to mail even! Just keep at it. I was thinking of cutting up a bunch of my mandala starts & collating them together... Maybe concentric circles, or maybe pie wedges. Don't know if I dare do it as a swap, bet there would be some interesting results
Comment: Wow! I love your scarf layout with the repeating flower petal design! I chose only flat fabric scraps for mine because I felt a little intimidated by the technique, but look at all these fibers you used! I am really impressed! I am finding from experimentation that warmer water and repeated rinsing help free the stabilizer from the fabric, but I think the more bulky or bumpy fibers make it more challenging. So far I have been using quilting weight fabrics and silk scraps. It feels kind of starchy for several rinses. Thanks so much for the gorgeous scarf -- I really love the design and bright colors!
Comment: Loved the pink butterfly! very nice work. I have been using my butterflies for the Attic Window quilt pattern, so I'm finishing them out as I receive them, liked the added color will help me pick colors for the edges (side & bottom) thank you
Comment: Thanks for the darling tea wallet (and tea). Yes, these are colors I like =) I like your idea for a larger one with a zipper- let me know if you will share the patter (please =) I haven't made mine yet, but looking forward to it.
Comment: Ha! Too funny! And what an adorable ATC! I read the address label and I was like. Hmm... I wonder what I could be getting from this close. And when I flipped it over and saw it was for Swap-Bot, I was like, "No freaking way!" haha I've never gotten a fabric ATC before! Cool! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful lucky bracelet for me! I love it so much and especially love the colour and the wonderful elephant! It is a great style too the way it wraps around. Thank you so much for taking the time to create such a wonderful bracelet for me. :)
Comment: Love the pin cushion, was well worth the wait, almost to pretty to use, (almost) the embroidery/cross stitch is an added plus, this cushion shows your expertise in crafting/sewing, thank you very much
Comment: Thank you for sending another package since the 1st one never arrived. I truly appreciate the kindness you've shown.
Response: Hi Leslie I mailed you two balls of yarn on Jan 2 , my other partner got hers in two days. I am very sorry the mail service is a pain. I am still waiting for my second swap to show up too. I will get a new swap out to you tomorrow !
Comment: Very pretty. What adhesive did you use? I'm still looking for something. Looks like everything stayed on, but not quite flat. For me the "art" is easier than the glue! Took me a while to figure out that "postcards HMx" was "simply handmade".
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous needlebook. Of course I love the colors, and the feather embroidery is lovely. I'll have to try that; I'd think it would take a little practice to get it right. Kathy
Comment: This was my very first swap and I am so very happy that I got you, lynne, as my partner! Thank you so much for the very cool earrings! (I love silver and I wear alot of black) and the nice little note you sent with them! Not only do we both like dragonflies but we also live in the same state!!---Chari,
Comment: Lynne, I loved the bats, but I had no idea what swap they were for!! Please make sure you include the swap name on your notes. Thanks, I've wrapped the bracelet around a candle, because I can't stand to have anything around my wrists, not even a watch!
Response: Oh I am so glad you like bats! Glad you have a good place for it. I thought I wrote it on there, but I can bee kind of a space some time! Lynne
Comment: Dear Lynne,
many thanks for your PC from Boiling Springs. It's interesting to get cards from little towns/villages. Normally the most people send one from cities or special places.
Response: Steffi thank you for the feed back I did live in Baltimore for 14 years and it was nice to move back home.
