Comment: Thank you for the book postcard and all the book recommendations!!! I love to find new books and authors and these two sound really good!! Putting them on my list, thanks a lot! Happy Holidays to you too!!!!! xxxxx PS great stamps!!
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful swap! I loved the card and the very thoughtful extras. I was excited to read that you tried out gardening this past summer. It's amazing how a few flowers can brighten up the dreariest of corners. As for knitting, it's great to even stick with the basics. It's still nice to see something you've made. I wish that I had the time and the space to do some quilting. It's something that I would probably enjoy doing. Enjoy the holiday season - I send you warm wishes for a wonderful new year.
Comment: Thank you, Jeannie, for your thoughtful card. I always love when people write a bit about their life and family, and you did! :) Have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful, joy-filled New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the cute card and cool washi samples and stickers! I hope you got the snow that was forecast! I'll try not to be jealous- lol. We almost never see any in my part of Mississippi, so I can sure understand your excitement over it. I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas and wonderful New Year!
Comment: Hi nwgirl - Thank you for such a beautiful mini pl. What an amazing ATC and I love your handmade mini booklets - great idea. Thanks for all the goodies you tucked - all right up my alley!! I'm glad to see you're from the Great Northwest. I was beginning to feel alone here...
Comment: Thanks for the awesome post card! I love the layering and stitching on in it - not to mention that you quoted one of my favorite authors!
I agree about watching the trains. We have tracks that intersect our town as well and I love watching them go by.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcard. I enjoy architectural drawings and there are no new handmade drawings now. And that we share of love of Indian food in India. There are lots of Indian restaurants in our fair city, but none as good as the food I ate in India.
Comment: Ooh I laughed out loud at this PC - perfect! I want to make a junk journal too - but then I never know what I am supposed to do with it once I make it. So I will just continue hoarding paper until I do. I also loved that you included a little weather update - cute!
Comment: What a cool Finland card! And it arrived here looking like new--I didn't even know USPS would handle round cards. Sounds like we have similar stamp-collecting/-dispersing stories. Have a great weekend!
Comment: Thank you. Loved the envelope. I remember the days of traveling around the different states for my daughter's soccer, and never quite knowing what the weather would be like. One year we had a shootout, in a hurricane! It was crazy. Soccer certainly gave us many happy memories. They grow up so fast. ;D
Comment: Thank you for the Elvis postcard! My mother LOVED Elvis! Made me think of her! 😊 I love it when other people love reading as much as I do! Books and reading have been a big part of my life since I was a child! Always and forever a book nerd!!! 😆 I've never read The Count of Monte Cristo! 1200 pages. Eeeeekkk! I'll have to check out Anthem, I tend to enjoy dystopian fiction!
Comment: Hi Jeannie! Thanks for vintage pc and the share about what you are reading! I might have to check that book out, as it is fun sometimes to get the references being made, although I am not a gamer either! LOL! Hope you have a great weekend! Hugs, Happy Reading, and Swapping! ;)
Comment: I really enjoyed reading your log. I really enjoyed the first 3 books in the Last Survivors series - I hated the last book though. I haven't read the Razorland series, I'll check it out. I love the book darts too. Thanks so much! Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thanks so much for this lovely pocket letter. I absolutely loved it. I'm looking forward to trying the tea and have already found a place for the book thong. It was funny that you just finished After the End, I just read it last week too. :)
Comment: I Loved the envelopes you made for me. They are so well done. Did you stamp the pear on the outside envelope? Thy are all perfect I can't wait to use them even though a part of me would like to hoard them. Thanks again:)
Comment: Jeannie, thank you very much for the lovely postcard =) It was very interesting to learn about a lavender farm. Being from a big city like Philadelphia, we obviously don't have anything like that out here. And, I never heard of lavender ice cream; sounds interesting =) You were also an excellent coordinator, especially for someone who is brand new, and had a lot of questions. Thank you for your patience, and taking the time to answer my questions. Hope to be in one of your postcard swaps again =)
Response: Aww...thanks for such a nice message! I have friends that live near Philadelphia and one time they took us to Elfreth's Alley-I loved it!
Comment: Hi Jeannie,
Thanks so much for the great postcards! I love every one of them! I remember those busy days with children very fondly. My oldest daughter played the flute all through school and was in marching band. They even performed in the Mummer's Thanksgiving parade in PA. I'm sure it's busy, but cherish every moment. The days will fly by. Thanks again! Patricia
Comment: Thank you so much for your wonderful postcard and word of your wonderful weather there. I wish we could enjoy 12 C as it is -3 C currently here. We usually do not see tulips until May here so you are lucky they are soon coming. I hope your husband enjoys his time here in Toronto. Maybe he might meet my husband as he is a taxi driver outside the Island airport...lol
Comment: Thanks for the pretty mermaid, J! I envy you, being able to do yard work already - we are still living inside an Arctic Vortex (whatever that is lol). Congrats on finishing the editing - what a job that must have been! Hugs, T (";)
Comment: Loved your card, thank you! The Book Riot reading challenge looks very cool. I don't think I'd ever manage 50 books a year - that's really impressive! My favourite of 2015 so far was "Eleanore & Park" by Rainbow Rowell. Take care x
Comment: Hi Jeannie, thank you for the "monkey wrench" quilt pc...I am a big fan of beautiful quilts but I love from afar as I am still in the process of befriending my sewing machine. Hope you are getting abit of sunshine today :)xx
Comment: I just love the postcard you sent me! Just awesome. Hope you got your car troubles taken care of, and yes, Barbara Kingsolver is a wonderful writer! Have you read Prodigal Summer? I love that one. I have yet to check out the Sandman series, but American Gods is definitely one of my favorite books. Thanks for a great swap! :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postalette. Yes, I also used them a lot when I was little and I didn't know they were still around. We don't watch American Football here, but the hype about the halftime performances every year reaches us.
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful card I really love the painting!
I haven't read "in the woods", but from how you described it sounds like something I would enjoy so i will definitely keep an eye out for a copy!
Comment: Holy sweet awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!! The swap was beyond magnificent!!!!!!! Everything was so carefully picked (I was honestly thinking more like the thank you cards they sell in bulk in Dollar Tree, I never expected -nor have I ever seen - the delicate gorgeous note cards!!!) and lovely packed! If I could give you a heart for each item, I would! Extra hearts with a touch of bling-bling for the Paris theme (and in the names of the teas too, whoah!) -and for that one tea's name is "Sweet chai of mine" :D Now I think even more that my swap -which you gave me a heart for, too- stunk. I suck. But you rule!!!!
Comment: Heyy Jeannie, thanks a lot for the card. Nice to learn that you have been to India and also visited goa. That's great. I love postcards too. I also colle t stamps and coins too.. Thanks again.
Comment: The first thing I saw was this beautifully self-made envelope (loved those colors!). Your self-made bookmark is so wonderful (you really met my taste with these colors!) as are the store-bought b&w bookmark (beautiful saying!) and book darts. Thanks so much!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard of the Capitol. You mentioned your husband had worked in Singapore - I guess he must hv found it a very humid / warm place. Thanks for your comments on my avatar - yes I like to take photographs of doors and doorways.
Comment: Thank you for a great assortment of envelopes and surprises. :-) I liked the envelope you used to mail these made from the calendar page, too. :-) The little envelopes you sent me were great and I enjoyed everything you sent. I've never had swap cards before and can't wait to try them out. :-) Thank you! :-)
Comment: Thanks for the Rocky Mountains postcard! I like Neil Gaiman, and American Gods is a great place to start. I can certainly understand the too many books not enough time conundrum. I have a stack of my own. ~Wendy
Comment: Thank you for all the cool envelopes and the nice note! I'm glad you remembered I was your partner before :) I love the map envelope! And I love the wide variety of papers you used to make the envelopes. Thanks! :)
Comment: Jeannie, what a FABULOUS swap! You went over and above sending things that I just love. The bookmark, labels, swap cards, envies, and ephemera are all so great. I especially loved your little written "book" to me! Thanks again for such a special swap and happy fall to you!!! ♥♥♥
Comment: Oh! What a lovely package. Thank you! I had no idea I would have so much fun opening all your tiny envelopes. I actually saved two til nap time just so I would have something fun to open after all the lunch fuss. I will work on some recommendation for you and post something out.
Comment: Thank you ever so much for all the great goodies. Your lovely envelope arrived on my birthday and everything inside made me very happy indeed, particularly that tiny envelope made from a dictionary page!!
Comment: Thank you so much, Jeannie, for the GORGEOUSLY collaged postcard! It took me a while to find what swap it was for. since it wasn't written anywhere on the card. No problem, though. You do great work! - I just read your response... I hadn't realized the bookmark opened! The swap card was inside, but stuck, but I finally tore it out. This is the most original bookmark I think I have seen. What fun! A heart for the major creativity and originality!!!!
Response: Oh, I'm so sorry! I thought I'd included a swap card inside the bookmark with the swap name...did I leave it out? I'm glad you liked it :)
Comment: Thank you for the pc. I enjoyed reading the 5 random facts about you. You alphabetize your books!!! I am in awe and bow down to you(lol) and also truly envious...can you come organize mine? haha, I cant watch the scaries either! Have a great day :)
Comment: LOVE the B&W FQ! And your letter shows we have a LOT in common except I compulsively add to my stash whether I have a project in mind or now. I do have a color plan for keeping it sorted. I love log cabin quilts and am about to start a new one. Thanks a ton for your very informative letter.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard of the waterfront district of Seattle with Mt Rainier in the background. I like it very much. It came today 27 Aug but postmarked 25 July - one whole month from the USA to Australia! The postal service(s) are indeed slow!
Response: I'm so glad it arrived! I was getting worried about that one.
Comment: I really enjoyed your note - I have so many books on my Kindle that I have to live to be 120 to get them done - I loved your ladybug - they are sweet and pay their way and even in large size, they are not scary - happy swapping, your Bot Buddy, Phyllis
Comment: Hi Jeannie!
Thank you for the pretty postcard of Deception Pass and for telling me a bit about your summer! I LOVE when people put a little bit of themselves into their swaps!
Happy Swapping and I hope it cools off for you! For New Jersey it's been a very MILD summer-- so the tradewinds must be blowing in a different direction this year!
Comment: INSTANT HEART! I love, love the jackalope postcard! And everything you wrote! Amazing! Thank you for sharing everything! I will be sending you a message! Thank you for saying hi to Paul! Means a lot! Made his day and you sure did make mine! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks so much for the fun snailmail!! I loved your envelope art!! I also loved that you looked at my blog and used one of my snail mail ideas. That meant a lot. Thanks again for bringing me such joy today!! So glad to have "met" you.
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I had a lot of fun with your snail mail idea :)
Comment: Hi Jeannie! For a new beginner of Atcs you did an awesome job! I love all that red. It all blended well. You sewed onto the card for a border! That is so difficult! Yours is so nice and straight. I love your creativity! Thanks!
Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it :) I love, love, love sewing on paper and ATCs are such a fun way to do that.
Comment: Hi Jeannie! Love the Mt. St. Helen pc! I was lucky enough to get to visit there two summers ago and could not believe how lovely it was! We saw snow in August! LOL! Yes, it is wonderful to see how the earth heals itself for which I am thankful! Thank you so much for the great memories! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for the lighthouse postcards from Washington State. Love them. I am supposed to be sending some of these postcards on to the next swap, but I want to keep them all. The Bavarian village in Leavenworth looks really interesting. Have you ever gone there? Washington state is a long ways away from North Carolina, so I don't suppose we will be going there. Shirley
Response: I'm glad you like them! Yes, we usually go to Leavenworth at least once a year. Very pretty drive through the mountains and then we have our favorite shops and restaurants in town.
