Comment: Hi Loren, I was excited to see your postcard arrive! And yes it's very creepy, good choice. I hear that S. Korea is such a great place to live. I hope the kids liked the Halloween party. I wish you very merry holidays! --RJ
Comment: Wowwwww! You have sent so much stuff! I loveeeeee everything! Especially the face masks and the Real Snail cream! Is that supposed to be applied on the whole face or just eyes? Since it’s not written in English, wasn’t sure...but love Korean beauty products!! Thank you soooooo much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Response: You're so welcome!! I use that snail cream just around the eyes and I love it! Glad you liked it all and thanks for hosting this swap. All the best to you!
Comment: Thank you for sharing about your daily reading and how you apply it to your life. I will look out for this book at the local library.
Thank you so much for the penguin postcard and stickers of penguins, that was an extra special package.
Comment: I really liked the card you sent, as you wrote some really interesting information about the mountain, Namsan, thankyou! Plus the cat stickers and washi made me smile! See you in the next swap!!!!
Comment: I loved everything about your package <3 We almost lived in Orlando at the same time! My husband used to work at Disney and I have good friends who worked at Universal. Such a funny small world. I WILL write back
Response: Wow, a small world indeed! So funny. Glad you liked everything and I'll message you those questions when I get home from work. Hope all is well with you!
Comment: Hi Loren, today your package arrived. I have almost no words to say 'thank you' enough!! Everything you sent is just só amazing! The lots of candy, your lovely letter, and the beautiful beauty products, all só perfectly wrapped up; so pretty!! If I could give you more hearts here on swap-bot, I definitely would! You really put a lot of effort in this and I appreciate it SO MUCH. Thank you so, so much for this fantastic swap! ALL THE BEST TO YOU! <3
Response: I'm glad you got everything okay and liked it! Your first one you sent me was so perfect, I wanted to do the same for you. You're very welcome and hope to swap with you again some day!
Comment: Received your box yesterday. Thank you for all you sent! Which was way too much! Was only to be $4. worth. And, Wow, The candy! Holy cow! You trying to get me fat, lol ! It saddens me, that I will not get to use the grapefruit mask. Anything perfumed I can't use and it stinks! It is due to Psoriasis, that I can't use perfumed things. So, I will have to let one of my daughters use it, boo hoo! Thank you for the jester however. I love all you sent though! Esp. the socks. They will come in handy for our winter months ahead. Sounds like you have quite the busy life as a teacher. But I bet it is very rewarding for you.
Response: I'm new to the package swaps, so I think I've been going a bit overboard lately. Need to scale it back and take the maximum requirement more seriously, haha! I have gobs of candy that the school gives us, so I use it as a package stuffing rather than bubble wrap. Sorry about the grapefruit mask, but hope your daughter enjoys it nonetheless. Warm wishes to you and thanks for the lovely rating!
Comment: Wow! You have sent so much! I love everything! Especially the hand cream set and the writing paper set...also the candies! Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Response: I'm glad you liked everything and it got there so quickly!! Those hand creams are great. I'm using them all the time now that it's so cold here. You were also my partner for the Profile Based Happy Mail that you hosted, so expect another package in a week or two. 😄
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card and stamps! I have a friend who was living in Korea and she talked about the hot springs she enjoyed visiting. They exist here too, but the ones I know of are very far away from me- at least 2000 km away! If there are some closer, I haven't heard of them!
Comment: Hi and thank you for the parcel you sent, it was very generous! :) I won't rate you down as you clearly put thought into the swap and the requirements for this swap were not the clearest, but I think this was meant to be a mail art happy mail swap - the main thing being a self made element such as a flipbook or a pocket letter, then store bought goodies as extras. I could be wrong tho, so thank you for the mail anyway!
Response: I did take time and care to decorate the package in a way that I thought would make you happy, so I am sad you would think to rate lower than a five. Also, if you check the swap page the host clearly said, "It does not have to be a pocket letter, flip book or loaded tag..." In any case, I hope you enjoyed opening everything and best wishes!
Comment: This card is so cute! I love the bird and their lil pink buns and the one bearded guy's jaunty hat! I'm so jealous of your banana washi!!! These astronauts are great, too. I've had a few ghost encounters. Your ghost, PJ, sounds so sweet. I was once led through a pitch-black forest at night by a very benign ghostly presence when my flashlight punked out. I just let myself be pulled and made it safely through without touching a single tree or falling into a hole or ditch. Thank you so much! I'll look up the banana pudding recipe, though I live in the American south so it's everywhere! Haha!
Response: Woah, very interesting story of your ghost! I'm glad you liked everything and the card. I've tried many a banana pudding in my time, but that one is the best. Thanks for the rating and heart. Best wishes!
Comment: Sorry for the late rating. I found quite a lot of unrated mail behind my desk, when I was reorganizing my studio. No idea how or when it fall there. Thank you for the postcard. I love Japanese food too.
Comment: You deserve 10 hearts! What a lovely package, it truly was ~ happy mail ~ You have to tell me where to you get such beautiful paper to make your envelopes! Thank you Loren for all your effort, loved it!
Response: Yay! So glad to hear from you and thanks for the kind words. The paper is so pretty, right? It's from my local stationary store. They have an entire wall of handmade paper like that! I need to find out where they order it from, but I'm guessing it's a company here in Korea.
Comment: Hello Lorencz,
Thank you very much for your beautiful postcard. It made me very happy. If you want, give me your address so I can send you a postcard back. Would you like to become postcard penpals?
Greetings from Germany!
Response: Hi Thomas. I'm glad you liked the postcard, and it arrived much sooner than I expected. I would be happy to become postcard penpals with you. I really like Germany and am interested to learn more about your life there. I will send you a message with my address.
Comment: Hello Loren! I received 2 post cards from you today for two different swaps. Isn't it great? 🙂 thank you Loren.
Response: So glad you got the cards and enjoyed them. Fall has just started here and I hope it lasts a while this year. Yes, the apple festival is a big deal for our small town. I usually volunteer with a couple friends, so we get lots of free food and have a great time. Hope you're doing well, and thanks for the hearts. <3
Comment: Thanks for the great card Loren-love it and the stamps too! My favorite summer memories from 2019 all revolve around family; seeing and playing with my 4 year old granddaughter Madalynn, and my son Matt's wedding to my new daughter-in-law Mulu. Fun times!
Comment: Thank you for your card, you've got very nice writing! The stamps are especially nice and I love the whale on the card. I'm relieved about the arrival of fall too, although it never lasts long enough before winter starts and it lasts a long time in Canada, haha.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! Sounds like you are having quite the adventure in Korea. I actually took an additional qualification course to teach ESL but English was the first language everywhere I taught so only had a few Spanish students
Comment: Hello Loren! I got your post card today! I haven’t been on swap bot for several months and this is my first swap since I came back-yours is the first piece of mail I have received. Very exciting. I haven’t been to that many countries yet but hoping to travel more. Love the pc you sent with vintage/antique books on them. It’s perfect since I have a few books published and I enjoy old things. 📚 Thanks!
Response: Welcome back to Swap Bot! I'm happy my postcard was the first one you got. Glad that you liked the books and that is amazing that you have a few published yourself! Best wishes.
Comment: Received the ugly/dislike pc today. I have done the same bought some and then got tired of them, they're now used for this swap too.
I hope some day to come see S Korea, I read and look at the pictures and it looks so beautiful. People tell me because I am a fussy eater that I would have problems eating there, so I have to figure some way around that before I can go there. Way I look at it is I can afford to lose some weight so it wouldn't be terribly bad 😃 I would like to go at Christmas as I want to experience Christmas in a totally different country and culture, but Costa Rica has flight seat sales on and also a cruise ship is also being considered. So hopping some day i will be able to check off S Kora from my bucket list.
Thanks for PC and cool stamps on it.
Response: Thank you for the lovely rating and heart! Korea is nice enough during Christmas, but it is still pretty cold here. I think Costa Rica or some place warmer would be nice. You would like to visit here in the early spring (see the Cherry Blossoms) or fall probably. Also, don't worry too much about the food. There are lots of options and healthy things to try, but an easy diet it always a good thing in my book too, haha. We are on holiday here now for the Korean version of Thanksgiving, so I am off work for the rest of the week and very thankful for it. Glad you got the postcard okay and liked the stamps. Best wishes!
Comment: Thank you so much for the very pretty butterflies on lilacs PC. I love the stag stamp and fox sticker you used too. I have been curious about S.Korea since getting a little into KPop. My two favorite bands are (G)idle and BlackPink.
Response: I don't know those bands. I'm more into some of the older Korean singers, they have such deep passion in their music. Korea is a wonderful place, especially as fall is coming.
Comment: Thank you for the colorful and cheery postcard! Two thumbs up for sending me two postage stamps that were new ones for my Korea collection as well! The kind and positive words that you wrote to me were also refreshing. I am very grateful for your kind efforts to make my day brighter! A+++
Comment: thank you for the lovely cards! Thank you for the book recommendation. I have the Good Neighbor on my to-read list, but with your suggestion I moved it to the top and requested it from the library. I enjoyed the Mr. Rogers documentary very much, so I think you are right that I will like the book as well. I appreciate also the decorations you put on the card (and yeay! elephants!) as well as the variety of stamps you chose :) Thanks for doing this swap with me and welcome to swap-bot!
Comment: Hi Loren, thank you for the Buddha PC, I love it. Lovely postage stamps. Welcome to Swap Bot ! Yes, I'm tired of starting over and needed to hear your message to stop giving up. Happy summer swapping peace love light
Comment: Thank you, I love the card & stickers! Did you write on the front? It’s not messed up, it is beautiful! What does it say?
Welcome to Swap-bot & enjoy.
Response: So glad you liked the card! No, the writing on the front is printed and it says "Beautiful Korea." I'm not good at classic Korean writing, need to practice more haha. Thanks for the comment and rating!
Comment: I was blown away by your answers! Not only were they extremely insightful, but it was like talking to myself. I also have the same, I guess you could call it "passionate disgust" for Sea World. I also, incidentally, hate circuses as well because of the way they treat their animals. I LOVE A Christmas Story. It's one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies. Also, I have the same interest in aliens, astronomy, etc., that you do. By the way, congrats on your 4 months!!
