Comment: Great CnP postcard. Looks better than most tourist cards. Well made. I also like the mail-theme tape on the back. It doesn't feel like washi. I agree about travel. COVID has cramped my style too even when it comes to local travel. I rarely venture out further than 40 minutes away.
Comment: I haven't had an opportunity to watch Bridgerton, so I don't get the hype either. We went to the snow, I couldn't imagine having to live in it and shovel it! I hope you have a pleasant February.
Comment: What a fantastic question and one that I really ought to have documented already. We have had more butterflies than ever before (besides the migrations passing through). We've done a lot of landscaping and we've had so many varieties visiting us.
Comment: You have Maine Coons??? We've always wanted one. We tried/thought we adopted one from the shelter -- turns out, she's just fluffy! But we wouldn't trade her for nothing! Thanks for the fun cat card!
Comment: Thank you Dawn for your swap and of course the feline PC! I had to laugh at it because of course, I never met a cat i did not like! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about humans! Loved the prompt and have been sitting with the question your sent over. Here in Oregon we are trying to bring the cases of CORONAVIRUS down. Course, i am reading the reports of he damage this virus is causing others long after they come back and are going to be here and not pass on. It is pretty scary to think of the heart damage that is being caused long after the patient recovers. That is not all there is going on with the body and mine when they make a full recovery. Just continue to be safe as you move forward in your daily life! Many blessings to you alll there! Bye for now!
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty Christmas card, and the beautiful stickers. I also couldn't help but notice the wonderful stamps you used as well on the envelope, thank you very much. I hope you have great things planned for Christmas. Merry Christmas and the best to you in the New Year.
Comment: What a beautiful flipbook, Dawn! I absolutely loved receiving this - you matched my taste so well. I really like how you decorated the individual envelopes and all the goodies you included are just perfect. Thank you so much! I hope you had (or will have?) a fun trip to Florida - and I hope you were able to enjoy some sun. Thank you! :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the "wordy" fabrics and the extras! I don't have a project for the word prints. I haven't given it any thought because I'm trying to get some UFOs done and I also need to make a charity nursing home quilt by October.
...and on we sew! :)
Comment: Thanks for sharing your goals & progress. Lovely when an emergency pops up and you have to work on it for 3 days, right? Hope it worked out for you. What does DH mean? Have a lovely Easter weekend.
Comment: I do not have either of these! Hey we may have to meet up that weekend in April at the Blue Springs Quilt show....we may have to exchange numbers and plan to find each other. I would love that! I will send you a personal message with my number and we can connect that way.
Comment: Thanks for the card and information about the book. It sounds interesting and I shall look out for it. I've been reading a series of books where Mrs Hudson, Holmes housekeeper is the detective. It's different! Best wishes
Comment: Nice PC of green Missouri with lovely decor. Spring is just beginning to start here with purple crocuses starting to come up out of the soil. You probably have a ways to go but it’ll eventually arrive.😀🌸🌼
Comment: I had such a shout at my post lady this morning, she rammed the envie for your swap and another through my letter box and split it, ruining the napkin and postcard. I hope it was not open before now and I have no way of knowing. However I got your mail and what survived the assault is lovely. I really like the titchy washi tape samples (my first ones) Thank you very much for this swap, I am totes putting it on my blog.
Comment: Dear Dawn, thank you for the 3 fabulous postcards. I especially like the Atlanta one with glitter on it! The pretty flower envelope seals were a thoughtful addition and I'm looking forward to using them soon. I love how you used a 'business card' to write a message and the swap name - I might borrow that idea for my SwapBot swaps too! All the best Dawn and thank you once again! Sophie
Comment: Thank you for the cardinal card. We mainly just put lights outside...no tree. I have a few Christmas ornaments hanging around. Eventually maybe I can put up a tree but I have a lot of cleaning to do first.
Comment: Thank you - Precious smelled the toy and she grabbed it out of the box! I let her chew the paper off and then I took it out of the packaging for her. Little stinker!! She loves it! I will open mine on Christmas Eve!
Comment: Wow, today I received your Journal Question on a Postcard #8. It took a long time (it was stamped the 12th of July) because it was missing the town... But it eventually reached me, thank you very much!
Comment: Hi Dawn! I love the charms you sent, Years ago I bought some unfinished quilt blocks that look to be from the 30s. Several of the fabrics you sent will work perfectly with them and I may actually get them finished up. Thank you so very much. Cheryl Oh, love the kitties!
Comment: Hi Dawn, thank you so much for the PC and the question. I really needed this quote today...I am so good at procrastinating about making changes. I love the John Lennon postage stamp. Happy Autumn peace love light
Comment: Thank you for the orange tabby postcard- it reminds me of our own kitty Lucky who passed away earlier this year- he was 14. I also love the Mark Twain quote on the card and the cool vintage stamps you used. Good luck with your T&N! Have you heard of the "Trap King"? He is local to Atlanta, doing great work.Check him out: https://trapkinghumane.org :)
Comment: Hi Dawn! Thank you for the pretty cat pc! I am really a dog person but have several crazy cat lady friends! LOL! So I get to hear all about cat antics and they do make me giggle! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the postcard with a pic by Ansel Adams. Yeah spring arrived here too. To be honest it already feels like summer. The first strawberry gonna be ready pretty soon on my balcony! And now have a wonderful week.
Comment: When I spied you envelope in the mailbox I got excited and could hardly wait to get inside the door to open it! You created such a nice variety of garden supplies. I too adore the butterfly buttons. Thank you for including the feathers as they are my favorite!
Comment: Thank you for the nice charm squares. I really like them. I use a lot of this kind. Seems like I do more sewing for children than any other kind. Just finished a quilt for our great grand daughter. Thanks again.
Comment: Dawn, thank you for the postcard. I didn't know Kansas City was the City of Fountains. They look great. It would be worth a trip just to see them. It is cold here. Normally this time of year we are in the 70's, this year we are still in the 40's. Shirley
Comment: Did you read the book, or will you? I haven't read the one I used yet, but I intend to. It was an old book of my sister, Debbie's - her and I have similar tastes, so I think I'll like it (sci-fi).
Response: I have not read it, it looked a bit over the top to me. I prefer historical fiction and mysteries.
Comment: Loved this little package...very nice to read about topics in which I also share an interest..and such a pretty notecard. Looking forward to trying the yummy sounding teas, neither of which I have ever seen in the UK..
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. It makes me think about summer! We don't get snow often but it sure has been getting cold at night. There won't be much decorating here this year with 2 young cats! Lol. Thanks again & Merry Christmas!!
Comment: I am currently away but looking forward to opening up your envelope when i come home next week. Always great to see mail welcoming me. UPDATE. Now that I am home (11-21), I am going thru all my mail. Thank you for all the goodies. The envelope was "slit" across the bottom (came in a plastic bag from the post office) but was still filled with lots of items *some newspaper colored pictures, stickers, papers with flowers on them and my favorite,,,a black cat cutout. Thank you so much Dawn.......
Comment: Thank you for the card! I've experienced locust and grasshopper swarms in the past when I lived in North Dakota and Nebraska. It makes me very happy when I see birds swarm over the bugs and eat them because those hopping bugs are EVIL.
Comment: Thanks for the nice Taos Pueblo! It would look great framed. Fall is coming on very slowly...still 80s-low 90s fir the high but we're getting some nice cool mornings in the 60s, which I really like!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely quilt postcard! Yes, that would have taken a LOT of work! My grandmother was a quilter and she never touched a sewing machine. She even made all of her own clothes by hand. She kept a record of what she did and would send out a year-end report. I remember the last one we got just before my mother passed away. She said she had slowed down so much that year because of her arthritis and she had "only" pieced 12 quilt tops (4 were king sz.), crocheted "only" 25 sets of pillow cases, and she only was able to can 100 cans of veggies because she had to cut down on the size of her garden. I wish I could do one-third of that.
Comment: Thanks so much for the very interesting swap!I love the cards with the old fashioned photos on them, are they some kind of tarot? Love the dicut, the stampings from your sets, postage from elsewhere, and those mini envelopes( one has a lobster) are so cute! Thanks again for everything and Happy Swapping!Jen
Response: Glad you liked it. The cards are "Found Relatives" by Tim Holtz.
Comment: I'm so glad you hosted this swap, and even more thrilled that I was lucky enough to receive the mermaid you created. I've decided to name her Calliope Merrow, ( Merrows are Irish mermaids and I just really like the name Calliope) She turned out beautifully! The little pearl bubbles on her tail and fins and the shell necklace are really gorgeous touches too. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thank you for the spool blocks. I do like the color variety. I am anxious to put the wall hanging together. What I have in mind is to put the spool blocks around an applique sewing machine center - I hope it works out.
Comment: Thank you for the Marvel Cave postcard, Dawn. I enjoyed reading your note on the print side, though flooding...I hope the cave didn't sustain any damage! (Also, "Branson, MO"? One of my favorite book series has a book set in Branson. That's what immediately came to mind when I saw your PC. But hopefully "your" Branson is free of vampires!) :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for sharing this Jesse James postcard with me, Dawn. My mother tells me that one of my great-grandfathers actually met Jesse James! Apparently, he and his gang used to stop by my great-granddad's farm when he (my gr-grandpa) was a child. And they paid his family for the food they took! :-) Thank you so much for sharing!
Comment: Thanks for the great card--I'm a little miffed at the post office for doing the stamp cancellation on the FRONT vs. the back where it's supposed to be, but that's certainly not your fault. I do like the stamps too, btw.
Comment: Thank you for your great postcard, interesting to getting to know this artist :) Here it's being rather cold again, I hope the spring weather soon returns. I also like to have some plants, this year I'll be having tomatoes and strawberries again :) Have a great day!
Comment: Thank you very much for that wonderful Mastodon postcard! :) I really love it, the illustration looks beautiful. And thank you for putting effort into decorating the backside as well, I would love to give an extra heartâ¤ï¸ :) I especially love the dog stamp. Happy spring and best wishes!
Comment: Thanks for the ridiculous cover. Made me smile. What a small world and yes things are blooming like crazy with a seasonal yellow dusting of pollen on the cars. Thank you for hosting this fun swap.
Comment: Hi Dawn! Thank you for the lovely Redbud Tree pc! We do have them here and it awesome to look into our woods & see the beautiful colors of the red and also white for Bradford Pear trees! Things started blooming here in Feb due to the crazy weather, than of course we had a frost - sigh! Hoping that is behind us for the most part and spring really will have sprung! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard 😋 I have no idea they would think of all the big cities there are now. I think they would just run in the opposite direction. Maybe head to Montana. It's beautiful there and still isn't very populated.
Comment: What an adorable PC with the cats in the suitcase, and YES, my cats always used to do that! Now sadly the last of my cat family is gone and I travel too much to get another right now :( Love the PC! I hear KC is supposed to get some icy bad weather this weekend, stay warm!
Comment: Thank you very much for the cute postcard with a pretty backside :) Looks like the cat is curious :D And thanks for choosing an old postcard! :) I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all the best for the new year!
Comment: Thank you for the old car/Route 66 postcard, I love it!!! I only see those types in the summer when there are old car shows - then they are driving all over! Neat to see. Have a Happy New Year!
Comment: Merry Christmas, Dawn!!! Thank you very much for the lovely card and extra!... I do love to bake. Hoping I will find time to bake all my favorites for the holidays...P.S Shortbread is a must, but gotta love Chocolate too..lol
Comment: Hi Dawn! TY for the pretty Christmas card and the coloring stickers - I have not seen them before - very cool! So what kind of cookies did you wind up making? I do like to bake but only when I am not being rushed! I need December to be two months long to enjoy everything! LOL! Or give me longer to procrastinate! LOL! Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I made lemon raspberry thumbprints. They're half gone already!
Comment: Just received you lovely cat package!! So cute! Thanks a lot! â¤ï¸ I've got an adopted black cat called Nuit. She's not cuddly at all though so it doesn't seem fair that you get to have three cats in your lap at the same time... 😄
I wish you a wonderful Christmas!!
Comment: Thank you for the great PC and note. We don't have a garden because we live in a mobile home park. But we do still have roses and morning glories blooming. Will be spending Thanksgiving in Independence, MO with Granddaughters in -laws Will be great to see them and the Greatgrandbabies.
Comment: Thank you for the "M" is for Missouri postcard, note, and cool stamps. We are still having summer weather, too. The leaves are only just beginning to change color. Crazy! Good that you still have tomatoes coming in your garden!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard, Dawn! Thanks also for sharing what you're into. That guitar duo sounds familiar to me; I'll have to look them up. And you've introduced me to a new-to-me author who sounds like one I'd like to read! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you so much for the glittery pc! How fun! I've driven through Atlanta but have no spent any time there. Looks like a very cool (maybe HOT is more appropriate!) place to visit! Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you for the Denver fun-facts PC and all the fun stamps and stickers! I really dig the US Airmail stamps :D also I had no idea Denver got so much sunshine, I've always associated it with snow and skiing lol.
Comment: Funny, when I dropped yours off in the mail the other day, mine was sitting there waiting more me! So cool. Thanks for the sweet washi samples and floral stickers. Nice to add to my growing collection! ~ Cari
Comment: The weather is sweltering here, too, and I'm truly thankful for A.C.! I agree that it's fascinating to see the rock layers where they blast through mountains to make roads. Your note, the fun postage stamps, and the postcard made a really good swap. Thank you! 🙂ðŸ˜ðŸ˜˜
Comment: Thank you! Mostly for the story of the Cincinnati Chili: it's enteresting know how and why there is a recipe in a particular place. There isn't a picture of the southern green beans, but I searched them on google and seem very tasty!
Comment: Hi Dawn! What an awesome card! Did you get it at a Comic Con event (am I even saying this right? LOL!)? A local library is hosting an event and I need to track down the date, as I had hoped to get some fun free cards! LOL! Thanks for the fun Monday Happy Mail! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Hi! I think it was a publishers promo card from years ago, but yes, comic artists often have free cards to give away.
Comment: Hahah! This cracks me up... the cowboy riding the prairie dog LOL!! Great postcard!! thank you!! I love it!! Thank you also for the awesome vintage stamps! I MUST find out where people purchase these because I really want to send some nice postcards with old stamps!!
Response: So glad you like the card. Check ebay for vintage US stamp lots.
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful cave postcard! I can only imagine how scary snorkeling in a cave like that would be! We don't really have any caves at all near where I live. I'm okay with that, lol. I prefer to look at the pictures.
Comment: Dawn--thanks for this postcard--I am very familiar with the Kansas City Airport. I'd fly in on Southwest and pick up rental car to drive rest of way to my parents in central Iowa or to my son who lived in Manhattan, Kansas, for more than 10 years. Hope you are getting some spring weather---have gotten any of the recent April snow storms?
Thanks for a nice swap!
Comment: Beautiful picture of the fountain! Sounds like you had a scary Easter, glad it was just a warning ~ nothing worse. I really miss snow, but the palm trees are pretty too! Thanks for the pretty postcard. Take care, Judy
Comment: Hi Dawn! This was a great swap! I love AD postcards and hardly ever use them! I enjoyed your BLUEGRASS WILD card. I peeled back your label to read more about the flora and fauna on the front of the card! Interesting! I also loved the vintage stamps you used. Thanks for those! Luckily the post office just cancelled them and didn't deface them with ballpoint pen! :-) Have a great weekend and Happy Swapping! Valerie
Comment: How wonderful that you start your veggies from seeds! I buy them small and watch them flourish (hopefully). My garden is waking up. The hyacinths are smelling SO good! Last year, we paid to have artificial turf installed. It seemed odd to me at the time, but it is lovely to have plush, green grass, all year round. Don't worry, we have real grass in the front and side yards!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. My parents took a trip to Branson a few months ago. My husband wants to see Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. It will probably be the only Jane Austen thing he will ever watch 😃
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card (the vintage stamps are nice, too). I stopped over in Kansas City in 2014 during my drive from Virginia to Idaho and had some excellent BBQ. It was the only indulgence I allowed myself on a very utilitarian road trip. That meal is one of my best memories from that trip :)
Comment: Thank you for the Open Door card. My husband just bought me a new camera for my (early) birthday - I am so excited and cannot wait to get out and about to use it! Have a good rest of the winter and hope spring comes soon for you!
Comment: Thank you for the cute kitty in the tree card♡ My cats do like to climb trees. The first time they did, I was so scared they would fall out! :D
Wish you a nice weekend, and perhaps we'll meet again in another swap :)
Comment: Thank you very much for the great Kansas mapcard with many stamps, lovely washi tapes and cute stickers :) The weather here has always been unpredictable. It's usually too hot but suddenly rain comes down and then hot again. Made me dizzy >.< Stay warm and safe!~
Comment: Oh boy I sure would love to go into that museum! I'll even have to look it up;its so intriguing! Isnt that a cute feather stamp at the bottom of your card? Cleaver too using the watercolours. Love It! x
Comment: Thank you for the card Dawn - my cats chew (and eat!) everything they aren't supposed to! I hope Coco listens and starts paying rent too! Ooh, and I love the vintage postage stamps; very cool! Have a great day!
Comment: What a beautiful PC. . . the place looks absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure you had a wonderful time. The beach and water look so clean and peaceful -- how wonderful to just sit and enjoy. Thanks again for sharing a bit of your favorite destination I 2015 ~~
Comment: Thank you for your wonderful postcard and resolutions. Best of luck with your resolutions and I hope you have a very Happy New year and all the best in 2016 =D. I have been to the Grand Canyon and if you go you must check out the Hoover Dam. It is very scary to look down on if you are afraid of heights so I could not do that. Tell me when you go if you are able to do it.
Thank you, Dawn, for the happy Christmas card! You're right about this screwy weather; today it is 68 and on Friday it will be 38. Go figure. 😜
Have a lovely Christmas sweetie! â¤ï¸
Comment: Hi Dawn! Have you been to Herman, MO? We traveled there several months ago and had a great time visiting the wineries! My hubby has wonderful memories as his folks used to travel through there to visit his grandparents in Owensville, MO! My hubby will be in charge of the turkey bird here and I will make the fixings, with help from him and the youngest - thankfully they all enjoy getting in on the act! Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving, with good food and lots of fun! Hugs, Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Your username is so cute :) Every once in a while I am lucky to receive an especially lovely swap. This is one. I LOVE the fabric - absolutely adorable. The note card, the stickies, and the bookmarks, all so perfect! My sister also loves cats and her birthday is coming up so I am going to think of something I can make her with the fabric. Thank you soooo much!
Comment: Thanks so much for the postcard. I miss Japan a whole lot, but living in Okinawa, we never got to see the snow because it never got below 50 degrees there. Here, it gets much, much colder. I'm like you not looking forward to the winter at all. Thanks so much for the swap.
Comment: Oh, Dawn! What a perfectly creepy swap! I love each and every itsy bitsy thing:) Some I'll use in my Dia de los Muertos dollhouse and some I'll save for a future haunted dollhouse:) Thank you for a wonderfull swap!!
Comment: The tree on the PC is certainly a beauty - so nicely shaped and such a vibrant color! Our trees are still green but we've had such a dry year that I think they'll be starting to turn sooner than normal. I back up to a wooded area so I get to watch all the trees turn their vibrant fall colors - I love it! Thanks for the lovely PC and hope you enjoy(ed) the botanical gardens - those are always so beautiful.
Comment: I just got the cutest, most delicate, amazing coffee table in the mail!!! And two silk pillows that are going to go with everything in my house!!! And now I'm going to have to build a dollhouse with windows because I also got curtains... Yay! Another house!!! lol Thank you so much!!! The table is AMAzING! did you make it? How?
Response: Yes, I made it. :) Glad it arrived quickly and in one piece.
Comment: Hi Dawn!
Thanks for the wonderful package for the Pick 5 swap. You nailed it! I love everything, especially your note. Thanks for that! I do like tea; I start everyday with a cup! I have never seen deco tape in its own dispenser. Very nice! The rubber stamps are adorbs! Thanks so much! Happy Swapping! Valerie
Comment: Thank you for the card--I've been to the Truman Library! We haven't even hit 90 degrees yet this year (we might get there Saturday) but I loathe hot, humid weather. I'd much rather be in an airconditioned theater watching a movie. The yard does look like a jungle tho.
Thanks again, Susan (brooklynbunch)
Comment: Thank you very much for a great sunflower postcard from Kansas. I also loved the stamps you used. Sunflowers are very special for me this summer as they became some sort of this year summer theme for me :)
Have a great day!
Comment: Oh my gosh! You deserve a hundred hearts for this swap! Thank you So much for the yummy - and - quite edible - recipes - I definitely will be trying them - Love how you hand-made the recipe cards - Really nice! Love the cute notecard you wrote on - Lovelovelove the stickers you enclosed as an extra. This is Really a nice swap - Thank you So much - and - Thanks so much for joining my little swap. Hope you got some good recipes. Happy 4th to you.
Comment: I thought your postcard was beautiful. You did a great job of creating it. Unfortunately it didn't survive the postal system unscathed. There were three rips in the peacock. It's still very pretty, so I am sad your hard work was ruined by evil postal machinery! Thank you!
Response: I'm sorry to hear that. I've been getting a lot of damaged cards myself lately. :(
Comment: Thanks so much for the delicious chocolate mint goodies! I have fam in town this weekend and they were thrilled that a goodie package just appeared at my door and they got to help sample everything haha. Thanks for such a wonderful swap, it is much enjoyed =)
Comment: Hi Dawn, Silver Dollar City really look like a very fun and interesting place to visit, and the scenery of the foliage is so beautiful. My grandson would be ecstatic over the old timey train. Thank you so much for sending me this card.
Comment: Oh my word I just love everything you sent me! I am crazy picky about lip balm and the one you sent me is perfection! I'm obsessed with it and am going through it like crazy! I love all the face masks too! They're some of my favorites! Thank you so much for everything! I can't wait to use it all!
Comment: I don't know about you, but we have had the craziest weather this winter. Breaking records left and right. We have deer in the city and I see them foraging all the time now. My sister Dawn, lives in the country and she said the deer have made all her small trees around the pond into "Charlie Brown Christmas trees". She sent pictures, and it's the truth. Thanks for the map card.
Comment: That would be a cool show to go to! I always look forward to my bulb flowers blooming! I had a few patches before but last fall I planted about 15 more groups in my yard so I can't wait to see them.
Comment: Wow, what a seamstress. Not sure I could sew anything for anyone. Thanks for the pouch and winter time goodies. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Holiday season! (even though this was a "non" swap) ;-)
Comment: Thank you so much for the neat quilt blocks. Love the one with shades of brown. Nice fabric selection. I've never liked black, always go for browns. And the fabric with the blades of grass is so unique. Love it. Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you for the quilt book. It is filled with colorful and interesting patterns. I like how the author give the reader the choice of making the same quilt in two sizes. You made a great selection for me.
Comment: Thank you for the nice quilt squares. Excellent choice of colors. I can't wait until I get enough together to actually make something out of them. I put them all out and it was beautiful. Thanks again.
Comment: Thanks for the sparkling sunflowers. It's the first fabric ATC I ever got. I also liked the way how you out it into the passepartout card, a great idea I might like to copy... The extras are nice as well.
Comment: Hi Dawn thanks so much for the lovely flower postcard, I was writing exactly the same thing to my partner for the swap, then tonight we are going into the 20's uggggh I hope my daffodils and crocus survive. Thanks again and hope to swap with you again
Comment: Glad to hear you got a few warm days! I grew up in SW MO, so I definitely appreciate the fact that I dodged that weather this year. My mom lives in KCMO and cracked her head open this year, slipping on the ice. Hope you stay safe!
