Comment: I hope everything is ok with you and I am rating a 1 for now, as I have not received anything since December 2017. I will consider changing my rating when you return my pm sent to you on Feb 13, or otherwise. Thank you, Diane
Comment: Thank you so much for the Australia map. I love it. When I was younger I travelled there for a year. I really want to go back, but getting a lounger periode of from work is difficult so I dream a lot about it ;-) Again thank you very much
Comment: Thank you for your card! I still feel sorry (for myself) that I never got to visit your Parliament building 2yrs ago when I visited Berlin. Your city has a million cool things to see! The zoo was lovely♡ I share your "passion" over that shade of green - I love it too! 😊 Take care!
Response: Maybe you'll be back one day and then you can explore more :) But I totally understand the feeling, I usually like to go someplace new for a holiday / trip, so if I miss something it's unlikely I'll get to see it in the next few years - for example when we travelled across Australia we didn't make it to the Uluru - so that'll be at least ten years (if at all) before I get to see that. All the best!
Comment: Hi Catalina! Thank you for the awesome stamps, I use them on ATC's and in my journals. I loved your chatty letter...I will write you back soon!
Response: I'm glad you liked everything :) Stamps are great for papercrafting, aren't they? I'm always disappointed in the stamps from the USA though, while they have great designs they don't come off the paper without tearing apart (at least the newer ones in my experience). I'd love to hear back from you :)
Comment: Hi Caddi!
This is Abby ;) Thank you so much for sending me a snowy landscape. I can't imagine living there! Hihi...
I hope spring will come soon.
By the way, how is your son doing? I hope he is doing well now.
Response: Hey Abby! Thank you so much for the rating and the heart! Spring is finally here, with more than 20°C! My son is doing well now, thanks for asking!
Comment: Thanks for the happy mail! I love the scout stamp ⤠And it was so nice to read some German. I was able to read the whole thing without problems and without dictionary. That is cool, since I have not actively used my German in years. I still have some skills left. Viele Grüsse aus Finnland!
Response: Dankeschön! Wie toll, dass Du alles lesen konntest! Es freut mich, dass Dir die Briefmarke gefallen hat!
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter! I was pretty interested in the German type on the back of each page. I translated them, and boy, are they food for thought.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! Yeah, I love the questions! They're all pages from a calendar actually, but I don't want to just throw them away because they are perfect for letter writing, I truly like how they look and they can be neat conversation starters or just give someone a reason to think about different stuff than the normal day-to-day-routine. The next calendar is alreay an item on my Christmas Wishlist ;-)
Comment: What a great letter, thank you so much. I can't quite believe you enjoy hot humid climates, but other than that it was nice. I'll return the letter when I have a moment. I'm finding I'm not as good at that as I'd like to be.
Response: I know the feeling of not getting to reply to letters :) I stand by my word though, hot climates are the best! I love that the temperatures are starting to rise now :)
Comment: We are at a close to these 4 weeks of swap. I am going to miss it :-( You did a great job putting it all together. Thank you for your lovely letter. Yes, it was wonderful to be in Europe when the Berlin wall fell. Finally freedom and unity once again. I have been back to Europe since then several times, just not to Berlin. That would be great to see now. Take care and hopefully see you in future swaps.-- Michelle
Response: Thanks for participating in all four of those swaps! Berlin is great currently, we live just a few minutes from where the wall stood in the (former) eastern part of the city and it's such an open city with an amazing amount of different cultures and languages all around - I really love it. I hope you get to visit one day!
Comment: Another week, another letter;) I enjoy it. Did you made the card? Sometimes it feels like Spring here too. Thank you!
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I'm glad you enjoyed the card - I love these kinds of cards (I'm not sure how they're called in English right now) and this one especially! They are a bit fiddly to make though, don't you think so as well?
Comment: Congratulations, Caddi! That is very exciting news, indeed! I myself am Auntie to twin girls, now four. When my sis-in-law was pregnant, she spent most (if not all) of her third trimester in the hospital. So I understand completely! And congratulations, too, on passing an exam that you thought you did poorly on! That's great! :-) My own exciting news was small in comparison. I was just so happy to have read for the full 24 hours in January's 24in48 Readathon! The first one of those I did, I only read for about 19 hours, so I was proud of myself for managing my social time (-ahem- distractions) well enough to read for the full 24 hours. (I was also VERY happy about a change in relationship status for one of the characters in a book series I am reading.) :-) Thank you for sharing!
Response: Wooooow it's been ages since I read that much in a few days! Congratulations! That sounds like such a great way to spend a weekend :) I'm happy to hear that everthing went alright with the pregnancy of your sister-in-law! I'm so looking forward to being an Aunt to two cute little identical boys - but please not yet! Stay put little guys... just a few more weeks :) I hope the next weeks are going great for you!
Comment: Thank you for searching high and low for a bridge postcard! I've never been to Shanghai but hear the food is amazing! :-)
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I mostly remember trying weird (to me at least) food my host family wanted to show me - these old chinese eggs and stuff like that. I have to admit though that I refused the bugs on a stick - I freak out if live bugs come too close to me, I couldn't eat them! haha
Comment: Hi Catalina! The pcs have made it safely to me and will be traveling on soon! When these swaps first started I had gotten a few of my pcs back over the months but it has been a very long time since that has happened - you might want to start a new one for yourself if it has been several months since yours started its journey! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! Can you believe I send on a card from a round in the 20s this past round? I took your advice though and started a new one :)
Comment: Thank you for the Stockholm postcard.
Sweet memories for me, I was there and it was very nice to stay there.
Response: Glad to know it arrived! It's always special to receive a postcard from a place you visited as well, don't you think so? Like you said, it brings up memories of past travels - almost always a good thing!
Comment: Postcard arrived safe and sound in today's mail :) You would probably do good visiting here in summer, we get some pretty warm temps! Especially up here in the Fairbanks/North Pole area :) It's pretty with all the green and wildflowers, my favorite time is the fall when all the oranges and maroon come out :) Thank you for the wonderful postcard and birthday wishes :)
Response: Thanks for the kind rating and heart! I must admit, whenever I think of Alaska I'm thinking of winter and coldness, but of course you also have summer :-P Do you get to see the northern lights in Winter?
Thanks again for the rating and all the best for you!
Comment: Thank you thank you thank you for such a beautiful and amazing card I wish I knew how and what. you should have seen me trying to open it I was afraid that I was going to ruin the envelope. I was able to barely open the top of it just so I could get the card out. I wanted to save the envelope the exactly the same way it came. Its absolutely beautiful love love love it made my day. I wish I could give you more then one heart you definitely deserve more than one thanks again for such a beautiful card have a very merry Christmas
Response: Thanks so much for your lovely rating! You say my envelope made my day, but I love reading your rating again and again because it always makes me happy - thank you SO much for your kind words, they mean a lot to me!! I hope you have a beautiful, happy and successful new year 2017!
Comment: Catalina, I like the Swap-Bot postcard! Where or how do you get them? I would love to have a few for fun! I'm looking forward to the card coming back to me filled with all the places in its journey! Good luck with finishing all the things in your flat so you can get moved in and settled soon! Thank you!
Response: Haha oh my, did I put your address on the postcard? That's how you realize you truly aren't getting enough sleep :)
I got the postcard from another swap around here actually, so I don't know how to get them. I think the swap-bot-ambassadors or forum admins have access to them though, so maybe you have more luck there? Thanks for the rating as well as the good wishes for our move! Take care!
Comment: Thanks so much for the lovely postcard from Berlin...looks like a lovely place to live :) Do you actually live on one of the boats? To answer your question, I don't think I could live on a boat! I prefer solid ground ;) Also thanks for taking the time to decorate the back of the card with colourful washi! I also love the stamp you used :)
Response: You're very welcome!
Berlin is a great place to live, like many big cities it has its downsides as well, but overall I love it. I don't live on one of the boats though, no. I also much prefer solid ground, I don't want to know how often I'd stumble into the water due to not enough coffee in the morning.... =) Take care and all the best!
Comment: Thank you for this beautiful postcard of the Cap Ferrat Lighthouse! I love it! I also love how you decorated the print side. . . And the stamps! How cool that you had lighthouse stamps!!! Thank you ever so much for sharing!!!
Response: Thanks for the kind rating! So glad you enjoyed everything! I love the lighthouse stamps, they're an ongoing series of the Deutsche Post and they started it around ten years ago I think. I try to buy them each year as they get released. Take care!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! I have been to Berlin a few times but I've never seen these churches. I checked the map to see their location. It turns out I was kinda traveling around them with S-Bahn and U-Bahn.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! Yes, somehow the churches are easily missed if you don't go out of your way to see them. They're not really close to other tourist spots. But I like the old and new aspect of them!
Comment: thanks for the awesome Dinosaur stamp, the 45cent one was nice too as it's not one i've seen before :) I hope you get to do #16 and 19 of my bucket list soon..it was 33 hours flight for me to get to South america but you're a lot closer to there than I am ^_^
Comment: Thank you for your blue sky, it gives me a little bit of summer feeling 😉. The summer has not yet arrived in our country, we've had lots of rain showers...too much. Now It's time for the real summer...with tiny clouds, fine temperature and a â˜€ï¸ sky! Happy summer!
Comment: Such a beautiful envelope and gorgeous notecard. Thanks for the lovely note. Enjoy your child and just plan some creating on top of your to do list, it's important! Have fun, this summer is cool enough to be creative, ლ (✿ ◕‿◕) ᓄ✂
Comment: Thanks for the awesome postcard. 😋 Sounds like a fun place. I own way too many games and never have enough time to play but I did play games at my friend's house today. We played Spyfall, Broom Service, and Porta Nigra. All very fun. Village and Castles of Mad King Ludwig are two of my favorites.
Comment: Thanks for the card. I like the old architecture with the arched windows. I have never been to Sweden, but there was an ice bar on our Norwegian Epic cruise ship in the Caribbean...cold...luckily they supplied warm capes!
Comment: Thanks for the New York PC. I went there 2x during my college days. I really had a good time on the 1st visit because I was with my class and our textile studio master and he took us into the private sections of the big design houses (studios). We saw Broadway plays and went to the top of the Empire State Building etc, but I agree with you, the city is too big for me.
Comment: I've received the postcards to send out in the next swap! I hope you have a better day when you get this rating than when you sent the cards out! Although I know how crazy days can be! Thanks for sending!
Comment: Thank you for your wonderful lighthouse pc. I love them too and as I live on an island, I have many to enjoy. They are all wooden structures though. I wish we had some beautiful stone ones as well.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the kind words! Oh, I'm jealous that you get to see so many lighthouses on a regular basis! I'd have to drive across the whole country - lol, as much as I love them, that's not worth it ;-) Take care and all the best!
Comment: Thank you for your postcard Catalina. I'm glad because I have not this UNESCO site. I 've never visited Berlin but I want to go to. I've learnt german and I've only visited Bayern, Hannover, Bremen. I should go back to Germany once (to visit Dresden, Berlin, Leipzig)
Response: Oh, my grandma lives in Hannover, I like it there! I've never been to Dresden or Leipzig either, but I want to go to Leipzig to see the Zoo there - it's supposed to be fantanstic! Thanks for the rating and for taking part in my swap!
Comment: Thank you for your postcard Catalina. I was in Berlin in 2004. There was built a lot of things after 1989. But when I look at the postcard, there is built a lot more after 2004. I should visit Berling once again.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the kind words! I agree, Berlin is an ever-changing city! I love that it's so lively.
Comment: Thank you for swapping with me and for the Amber cards too, Caddi! Love the 4 stamps you used on the envie, didn't have those. I'd love to swap again if you'd like more cards from the Coral Ed. or other misc JC, or when I buy more kits! :D
Response: Hey Shelly, thanks for the rating and the heart! Glad to hear you liked what I sent. I try to always use a variety of stamps because even though the 75 cents stamps the German Post Office publishes usually look nice, I cannot help but think that everyone already saw them around a few times :) I'd love to swap again, maybe in mid January?
Comment: Thank you for your lovely pink envelope full of wonderful teas -I am very much looking forward to trying the hot spiced wine one, NUM! and the squirrely pc was very sweet and thoughtful -Thank You! :D Do Take Care & Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you so much for the super cute postcard and wonderful tea bags!! I can't wait to try them all, the aroma they have is amazing!!
As for the bombing, it's scary as Israel is a small country so we all get rockets fired at us or know someone who is a soldier, but I do my best to be optimistic and keep safe, hoping for peace soon!! <3
Comment: Hello Caddi! Thank you for the foxy pc (just the kind of thing that I like) and the fun goodies (great Deco tape sample choices). Hope you had fun at the flea market (snag anything nice? )
Response: Yay! Glad to hear you enjoyed everything! We did have fun at the flea market - actually we got a bike :) Just went again today - I love going to flea markets! Take care and thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks so much for sending along the postcard along with these absolutely gorgeous stamps! I love all of them, and think that it's magic how you knew to include doubles of those which are my favourites. :) xo
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I'm so glad to hear you like the stamps I sent along, I always like to include doubles if I have them, so that the receiver can swap them for other stamps or use them in crafts - or, if they are like me, they like to have a back-up :) Take care!
Comment: Oh my gosh! I loved your swap! Those pig postcards are so cute! I don't know why I like pigs so much...I just do! My grandmother-in-law collected them, maybe that's where I got my love for them. I'm not really sure! :o)
Response: Hooray! Happy to hear that I met your tastes :) And I loved to send to someone who loves pigs :)
Thanks for the rating and the heart as well!
Comment: Thank you! You have obviously read my profile! <3
Response: Thanks for the rating! I try to always read the profiles, though I do have to admit that seeing the ones where there are too many big blinking pictures make me head ache ;) I love what you do for work, by the way!
I'm in love with the stamps you sent!
I don't have any of these!
Response: Yay! Glad to hear that! I sadly only have mostly German ones, so I'm always glad to hear that they are new to someone! If you want me to, I could fill another envelope up to 20 grams and send you some more - but there would be more doubles in there as well (good for swapping those in though ;) ). Leave a message on my profile if you would like me to do that!
Comment: Thank you for the cat pc. I love the postage stamps you used also-beautiful. The PO cancellation is very clear too. The return address: a lot of times I cannot make out the cancellation and the stamps have been inked out, torn, etc, making it very frustrating to figure out where it was sent from. I also am interested in learning about cities, not just countries, so I sometimes look on maps to see where the city is in relation to whether it is on the coast or near another place I know about. I'm not that interested in your street address, but if the po needed to return something to you , they would not be able to without it.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! And I'm glad you liked what I picked for you :)
Also thanks for the explanation on the return address, I hadn't even thought about the cancellation marks that are hard to read! But it's true, I also love to know where the card came from. I have a world map where I like to put pins in so I can see the places where I got postcards from, but often it's not clear where the sender lives. As to where Saarbrücken is, it's close to the French and Luxembourg Border, (10 and 50 minutes respectively) and while I don't think it's a pretty city, there are other interesting places nearby - like Trier, about an hour away as well, which is one of the oldest German citys dating back over 2.000 years. Sadly, we are nowhere near the coast - I'd love that! Anyways, I hope you're doing well!
Comment: Thank you for the airmail labels and the awesome Paris postcard. It definitely brings back good memories. I hope everything worked out at the dentist. =)
Response: Thank you for the rating and the heart! So glad I could bring good memories with that postcard :)
Everything worked out fine at the dentist - it's never fun to go there, but it's better to do so twice a year anyway!
Comment: Thanks for the nice stamps and extras. I really love ephemera from non-US countries so I really appreciate it!
Response: I'm glad you liked what I sent you! I'm sorry I had to fold the book-page, but I was thinking you'd rather have it folded than not at all :) I'm not quite sure when it was published since it doesn't have a date in it, but it has to be at least 70 years ago because they changed part of the story in 1945 after WW II. (Some names, mostly). Anyways, take care and thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Hi Caddie! Thank you so much for the card of the stable in Potsdam! I found it very interesting! I don't have too much on my profile because I like to be surprised, and it seems you picked perfectly :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it! Yes, I agree, surprises are fun - I'd be worried I#d get the wrong kind of surprises though ;) Take care and thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the airmail labels and the postcard :) ... I asked a friend to translate it for me :) ... And the welsh airmail labels are thinner than yours, blue and they say post awyr, par avion, post brennhinol :)
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! The welsh airmail labels sound so cool, I hope one day I'll get to see these :) Take care!
Comment: Hi Caddi, thank you so much for the awesome postcard (LOVE IT) and the airmail stickers that you sent. Happy New Year!
Response: Wow, that letter traveled fast! Maybe the mail from Berlin is just faster than it is from where I live normally... I'm glad you liked it and thanks for the rating! Take care and all the best :)
Comment: Hello Caddi, thank you for the lovely package and letter! Let me try and answer you here; I play different types of games, mostly "thinky" games (eg. Agricola, Battle Line), and many originated from Germany (including the 2 examples I gave)! I also know Dominion, even though I have never played it :) I haven't had the chance to try the tea yet; I'm saving it when it's closer to Christmas ;) Enjoy the holidays and happy swapping! ♥
Response: Thanks for the answer! I don't know these two games, but I just opened two new tabs to check them out, and Agricola looks promising! It reminds me a bit of a game we have called "Village", but I don't know if they have much in common except for the theme of the game. I hope you had a great start into 2014! Take care!
Comment: This was just win, win, win, one after the other :-). The envelope is beautifully decorated, I absolutely love the Michelangelo stamp, the card was gorgeous and the washi tapes are exactly to my liking. You made me a happy "girl" and I thank you for it!
Response: Yay! I'm so glad everything was perfect for you :) The stamp of the Madonna is great, isn't it? There is even a huge version of it, like this http://www.bundesfinanzministerium.de/Content/DE/Pressemitteilungen/Briefmarken/2012/02/2012-02-27-PM08.html?view=renderPrint, but that wouldn't fit on a normal letter, plus you have to go great lengths to get one of these... Take care!
Comment: Hi Caddi, thank you so much for your swap! It made me smile. I love the washi tape, the coins, the letter, the pamphlet and Oooh the tea!! It smells unbelievable. I'm don't want to use it because then I can't smell it anymore. I just had knee surgery so I'm stuck in bed at home and this was the perfect swap to make my day. Thanks again!
Response: Hey Amy! I'm glad to hear you liked everything! Now that you're stuck in bed, you at least have the time to read the pamphlet about Saarbrücken :) I'm so looking forward to the weekend, I plan to go to the Christmas market and have some hot spiced wine :) Take care and thanks for the rating and the heart as well! All the best, Caddi
Comment: Thanks for the great washi tapes and the extra one with the hearts! (I love making my husband cards and scrapbooks, so anything with hearts is useful to me!) To answer your question, he works in information technology for one of the world's largest corporations. He's doing an expediated training program which requires us to move every six months for two years. It's always within the US, but the locations are all very far away and different so it's interesting. Starting completely over every six months is lonely, but swapping has been making things much more pleasant since I started! :)
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I also love making cards for my boyfriend, so I completely understand that :) That program does sound interesting! A great way to get to know differend parts of your country :) Receiving lovely mail always makes me feel at home, so I completely understand that feeling! :) Take care!
Comment: Your resend finally arrived! :) Haha, I always write my letters upside down as well... just last week I made an ATC that had a decorated + printed background and OF COURSE I drew the image upside down... -_- Yes, going to the hospital like 4 days a week is really boring. Last time I went there I was told there's nothing to do to the fact I can't feel my stomach at all, they can't fix it. Oh well, okay then! My life is currently very busy, which is why I decided to take a break from blogging as well. Another option was to put Swapbot on pause but that's no fun :P I want mail! I'm going on holiday for 5 days on Nov 4th and I have evenings free, so I'm trying to reply ALL my letters then, yours too! I'll also be dropping some of my pals, just for the lack of time. :/ Okay, this was long haha. I hope you're having a great week!
Response: Yay, at least! Do tell me if the other one ever turns up. I typed the address with the typewriter, so I wouldn't get it if the machines couldn't read it.
That sucks that they can't do anything about your stomach! Anyways, I hope you had a fantastic holiday :)
Comment: Dear Caddi,
Thank you so much for your wonderful swap. I loved the envie, great washi tap, beautiful Grimm stamp and also great stamps for this swap. Cheers,
Response: I'm glad you liked it and that it arrived well, Marleen :) Good to hear you enjoy the Grimm stamp - it was my second to last of those and I also think they are amazing and beautiful!
Take care and be well!
Comment: I got the re-send today! I can't believe how fast that was. I love the flower stamps on the envelope, the postcard and all the extra stamps for my collection. Thank you very much, and thanks for re-sending. I'll let you know if the first one ever arrives.
Response: Thanks for the rating and the heart! I'm glad you liked everything and I really hope the other one will arrive as well one day. Take care and all the best!
Comment: Thank you very much for your letter, especially the lighthouse postcard and the 2013 Europa stamp!
Response: Thanks for the rating! I was so happy to see that you had your favourites on your profile so that I could pick the postcard and the stamp accordingly :) Glad to hear you liked them! :) Take care!
Comment: Thanks for the airmail labels. I love postal items, especially from countries outside the USA. I appreciate the fun envelope and great postage stamp you used.
Response: Thanks for the rating! I'm glad the envelope made it through the mail, I love maps of any kind and figured I should try to make my envelopes out of them... Postal items from anywhere are great, aren't they? Take care!
Comment: Hi, thanks for resending the shaped postcard, along with the other postcard. I have always admired the mailbox postcard on Instagram, & now I have one. I am grateful to you!
Response: I'm happy I met your taste with the postcard! Hopefully the first one will get through to you as well one day, like I said, it was a mailbox postcard as well. Thanks for the rating and the nice communication :)
Comment: Hi! I received your cute Under the Sea mail art today. So cute, and thank you for the postcard. I still have not received your shaped postcard. I hope it arrives soon.
Response: Thanks for the rating!
If you don't get the shaped postcard until the end of the month, I will resend of course. The German post office probably is having problems with unusual shaped postcards - would you mind if I (when I resend) send it in an envelope or shall we try again sending it naked?
Comment: Thanks Caddi for the stamps - I especially love the cartoony type ones. And thank you also for taking the time to read my profile and send me the book pages and priority labels. Hope to swap with you again
Response: Thanks for the rating! The cartoony type ones are great, aren't they?
I'm glad you liked the things I sent you, if we ever swap again - I recently picked up a book from the 1920s or a bit earlier, so if I can decide to take it apart I'll send you a few pages from that one...
Comment: Loved the stamps, appreciate the extras and the postcard, impressed by your good spanish!!!
Wish you the very best, if you ever want to swap again, please let me know!
Response: Thanks for your rating!
I love speaking Spanish, but sadly I don't have many opportunities to practice these days - so when I saw that you were from Venezuela I was thrilled :)
Take care and all the best!
Comment: Hello Caddi! Thank you for label, stamps and the message. Unfortunately the envelope arrived me a bit wet and I could barely read the message. Did it have anything to do with the flood? I hope you and your family were not affected... Warmest regards from Taiwan.
Response: Hey Elanor,
thanks for the kind rating!
I'm sorry to hear that the envelope arrived a bit wet to you - I had made sure to bring it to the post office safe and dry :) Maybe it got wet on the way to you, on a stopover on some airport. I think I just rambled along, wishing you well with finding a good college etc. We were not affected directly luckily, only late trains etc.
I hope you are doing well!
All the best,
