Comment: Thank you for the very cute PC. Congratulations on becoming an aunt! Just so you know, I know you sent the PC in August, but I just received it this week.
Apparently, there was insufficient postage on the card, so the post office in Hong Kong put stickers all over it about the postage and I guess they decided to hold it for along time and then mail it anyway. Thought you should know just in case they decide not to deliver it at all next time.
Comment: Thanks for the card, Lucy, and good luck with your studies! I received your card on a day when my son Matt was visiting Hong Kong! He and his friend were hiking The Dragon's Back! Carol in Colorado
Comment: Hi Lucy! Thank you for sending a nice Van Gogh card for me. I hope that you are safe from the storms which have visited Hong Kong, those typhoons have made a transit likewise to the Philippines. Keep safe and dry. Warm regards!
Comment: Hi Lucy,
Thank you so much for your washi samples swap - I LOOOOVE the washi you sent to me especially the ones of the different anime girls they're beautiful. Thanks for also giving me floral washi I adore them. Would love to send mail with you and swap more washi! :)
Comment: Ok writing a postcard with typhoon sirens going off, that's just hard core postcarding! Thank you for the awesome card. I love the view of the street. I hope the typhoon didnt get too bad for you!
Comment: I got your card today! I'm so happy your pets are so long-lived. One of my cats, Cacoa (pronounced Kay-Koe), is 10.5 years old and in cat years she's in her 60s. My other cat, Jasper, is 8 years old and that puts him in his 40s. Both of them act like kittens though. I love how youthful and silly pets are. It makes me so happy.
The card is ADORABLE and I love the stickers on the back. Definitely a card I want to display! THANK YOU!
Comment: Hi Lucy,
Thank you for your cat postcard and all the pretty stamps!
I'm sorry, but I can only write and read a little bit of Chinese. I had to ask my elder sister to read it for me ;p she is born in HK and lived there till she was 8 years old.
36 degrees is indeed very hot, hope it cools down soon!
Till we swap again! ;)
Comment: Thank you SOOO much for all the beautiful washi tapes you sent!!! I love every single one, try are all so gorgeous! You did such a great job picking them for me. And thank you for the extra samples as well!! I can't wait to use them in my journal!! 💙💙💙🌸🌸🌸
Comment: Thank you for your postcard, yes I like rainy days especially when there is a good thunderstorm, the best thunderstorm I've come across was when I was in Portugal last November, it was very intense! :-D.
Comment: Hi Lucy, thank you for the beautiful PC, I love succulents and terrariums. the bunny ink stamp is so cute! That's cool to know that Hong Kong celebrates the same day as Canada ! Happy summer swapping. Blessings of peace love light.
Comment: This was an amazing postcard! I've never seen anything like it, and hope to get more one dat. Your Washi is just lovely, and the color was great! Even the stamp and postmark were gorgeous...this is going straight into my album of favorites!
Comment: Thank you fro the lovely note card, it sounds like you live in a wonderful place (minus the typhoons). I really appreciate the washi you sent as well. I think you are my first swapper from Hong Kong!
Comment: Thanks for the card and the nice note, and the extras. I have never seen a postcard that shape before, and I will add it to my collection. It is nice to know someone else has name problems, although your make mine look very small! Thanks again, and happy swapping!
Comment: Hello Lucy! Thank you so much for the Louisiana postcard! I love Louisiana--the swamps there are beautiful and mysterious! We took a boat tour through the swamps with a guide a couple years ago and that was really a lot of fun--highly recommended! Thank you again! <3
Comment: Hello Lucy, Thanks a lot for your great postcard. I never tried 8-treasure dumplings, or any other, I'm not sure if I could get them here. But I think I would love them! Greetings from Germany!
Comment: Hi Lucy,
Thank you for the cute card, girl sticker, stamp and bunny. No, we don't celebrate the dragon boat festival here in The Netherlands. I did row once on a dragon boat in 2004 :) the next day in felt musclepain all over my back where I'd never felt before :p
Comment: Hello Lucy, what an incredible view you have! It looks idyllic in the second picture. The only photo's I have ever seen of Hong Kong are of tower blocks so it's lovely to see an alternative view :-)
Comment: Hi Lucy! Thank you so much for the lovely postcard. I really loved the guinea pig tape! It was so thoughtful of you to read my profile and send something I love. It really made me smile. I really love snailmail and I would love to hear more about your piggies so if you'd like to be penpals please message me. Thank you so much again, I'll treasure your card. xxx
Comment: Bunnies! :-) Queen Hillary is a guinea pig, right? At first, I thought she was a lop-eared bunny, but then I counted back and. . .four bunnies - Pegu, Smithies, Xo, and Mala? - and four guinea pigs - Obama, Romney, Julia, Queen Hillary? - is that right? Also, you said Queen Hillary is the oldest? How old is she? :-) Thank you so much for sharing, Lucy!
Response: Yes! Hillary is a Peruvian guinea pig. She's already 5 years old which is about 70 in human terms(≧▽≦)(≧▽≦)
Comment: Thank you Lucy for this perfekt card! I love how prettily you decorated it, the stamps are fantastic and I love that they are all attached to each other, the picture of the postcard is lovely as well, the airmail labels are wonderful (and quite cleverly attached :) ) and I loved reading about your favourite games! We also play Rummikub regularly, but I never quite got the hang of mahjong! All the best for you and your loved ones!
Comment: Thank you for the stamps (on and inside the envelope), the extra air mail labels, and stickers too! Are these the labels that the Hong Kong postal service currently uses? Just checking because there is a different sticker on the envelope (may be hand-stamped) and sometimes people collect/send vintage labels (which are cool too... but I am just curious to know if the labels are current). Thanks again!
Response: Yes the new sheet of air mail labels is the current ones(^_^)
Comment: Thank you for your e-mail, Lucy! One question I have, though...Do you carry your "fancy wallet" inside your "actual wallet"? Does it fit? :-) Also, you're the second partner I've received from who shared a picture of cash. I look at the prints with great interest and think I might need to see if my mother can "loan" me any cash to put in my wallet for when I take my own pictures! And what a neat idea to laminate a little map! I love it! :-) Thank you so much for sharing!
Response: Haha, they are separate, so I have two wallets sitting in my purse but only use one of them most of the time~
Comment: Ahhhh! Thank you for the adorable penguin popping out of an envelope card and matching washi tapes, kawaii bunny stamped image, and beautiful postage with views of Bride's Pool and the Reservoir East Dam. Even the cancellation stamp is beautiful! :) Thank you for recommending Ed Sheeran's song; I will have to give it a listen, but I am forewarned as to its somber mood. Hope you have a good weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the great letter and I am anxious to try the tea. You asked about native English speakers using months for names. I know several women named April, May and June though would be surprised to hear other months used as names
Comment: Thanks for your wonderful answers :) I loved reading it! And I envy you so much for being a Hong Kong citizen! I was there last year, and I loved how many cute stuffs it has, especially in Kowloon. I found many cool stationaries, but I didn't want to buy all of them, hahaha :D And, it seems we're both big fans of Friends :D <3
Comment: Your card of Hong Kong is so pretty! I have been wanting to go SO badly. Last year, I almost went for Hong Kong Fashion Week. :( Hopefully soon! Also, your name Yu Shi is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing the meaning with me :)
Response: So glad you like it:-)It would be great if you come visit Hong Kong!
