Comment: Hello Annie,
Thank for the 6 postcards you sent me to choose from for Postcard Mash-Up 25. I found some postcards that "spoke to Me" right away and those I will be keeping and those I will be keeping. Others did not "speak to Me" and those I will pass on as they may speak to others. Thank for sharing some wonderful postcards. Hope we get to swap again as I always like swapping with you.
Comment: Hello. Thank you for your postcard. :3 The picture was very nice, I like this kind of old-fashioned photos.
But I wasn't quite sure if this was completely tattoo-themed pc.. 'Cause as the pc said, that woman isn't tattooed, she's only wearing a shirt which sleeves looks like tattoos. Well, maybe that makes it tattoo related. I'm still going to give you a five even if I wasn't sure about it.
Response: Actually it is meant to be tattoos. The person I bought the postcards from makes them herself. She takes old photographs and draws "sleeve" tattoos on the ladies.
Comment: Wow! Thank you so much for this fantastic postcard as well as your inspiring story. I was actually raised vegan by parents that really disliked cooking, so I'm afraid that I never really had a great example of what could be possible. You sound like an extremely motivated and passionate person, and I'm so happy to hear about your success! xo
Comment: Hello Annie,
Thank you for getting the two postcards to me for the Adventures of the Traveling Postcard R24 Swap. I will get them filled out and ready for R25. One of them I may send back to the owner depending on how much space is left after I put my name. The other one I will send on as it has plenty of space. Thank you for the Hawaii postcard. I need it to complete my 50 State Postcard Collection. Your contribution is helping me get closer to completing it. Happy Swapping!!!!
Comment: I'm so sorry! I got this card a week or so ago but my computer died. It's almost impossible to rate on a phone, I wish someone could fix that :) Thank you so much for the extra card! I love it!!
Comment: Annie you picked a perfect postcard for me! I already have a Cherokee alphabet card in my collection. I grew up with a father who had a passion for studying Native American culture -- so this is dear to me also. I will enjoy studying the symbols. Great swap! <3<3<3 And I did notice the communication postage stamp -- too cool!
Comment: Thank you for the amazing card! It's exactly what I was hoping for ^__^
It's cold here as well, I'm waiting for Spring anxiously! Well at least he weather forecast did promise we won't be getting snow anymore so yay for that X3
Comment: Annie, First off, special thanks to you for the tons of work you do to keep this amazing swap going! :) I so enjoy it, and have received 3 of my cards back from their travels. Thanks for sending me a card so I could participate in this round, still waiting on a card from Brazil. Thanks for these 3 to forward on. Thanks so much for the cat Postcard!! I love it!! :) :)
Response: I'm glad they reached you and I'm glad that this series has been so enjoyable for you! Thanks for the rating and heart!
Comment: Wow - Charley Harper AND and polar bear AND a cardinal! Doesn't get much better than that -- thanks for such a profile based postcard. Love the story about the one I am returning to you. It would be amazing to swim with sea turtles -- the wisdom of the ages is in their eyes.
Comment: Hi Annie! Thanks for your someecards postcard and your pissed off message! Sounds like a fucking shitty situation, I hope things have improved for you since the holidays! See you in the mail! <3
Comment: Thanks for a great postcard! (I've had this song called "Sing in Portuguese" playing in my head since it arrived in the mail a couple hours ago. :>) And, wow, 200 A.D.! Thanks again for sharing. :-)

As my son would probably say, holy amazeballs!! I can't find the right words to explain my sheer joy at finding this treasure in my mailbox today, I've been so bummed that I can't even find my own state's flag on a postcard, and here it is!! I can never thank you enough for that one! The Che Guevara card is super awesome too and a new one to my collection too. Thank you so much for sending me a new one, I am so thrilled! I will take great care in returning your letterpressed card, how cool! (P.S. Your ICP secret is safe with me, LOL! I was just listening to them a few weeks ago and wondering what the heck was wrong with me as a child. How did I ever think that was cool?) P.S.S. Response: BWAHAHAHH! I am SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO (infinity) glad that you loved what I sent you. I was surprised that you didn't have one of the state flag. I found it at one of my favorite antique stores :) Happy Holidays and THANK YOU for the heart!
Comment: Hi! I love your card and I want to try this beer! Thinking we do not have it near us though - boo! I just want it for the box! LOL! Thanks so much for these fun swaps and the awesome pc! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks so much for the cool card. I don't particularly like beer, but my boyfriend's Dad is a brewer and they both think the card is the coolest thing. So great I got to share this swap with them! Thanks again.
Comment: Hi Annie,
Thanks for hosting this swap and for all you do concerning these swaps! It is much appreciated! :) Will send these 2 postcards on. Thanks for reading my profile and sending me this Awesome Alaska Sea Otter postcard. I didn't even know there were Alaskan Sea Otters!
Comment: Love the tshirt...so different than anything I have.....I actually collect coasters so this is
a great addition to my collection.Im so glad you came to GR and got to see Founders, they re-invented it! Harmony my favorite also, its so intimate.. Ive yet to get to Hopcat...but Brewery Vivant is so different also.....I see we enjoy the same things..thanks again, Carole S.
Comment: Thank you for the awesome PC - though today the complete opposite happened, as somebody "credited" me for a "colaboration" on a paper and honestly... i didn't want my name anywhere near that mess of a product. But normaly it happens just as on the PC :D so flattery it is - awesome stamps to :)
Comment: This card really cracked me up, and will be the first pc in my new collection! :oD I like state maps, wildlife, etc., but a "Pokin' Fun" collection is more my style. ;oP Yooper Ruthie is going to stay on my kitchen wall until I can show her to my sister. Thanks for a great swap!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great label card! The owl just screams (or screeches) "Fall"! I'll try to pick up some Bell's next time I'm in the Midwest, I don't think I've had any yet! Enjoy the season and all the great brews!
Comment: I love the flying seahorses! Thanks bunches and I also really like The Lorax...but I am a huge huge Dr Seuss fan, from One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish to Oh the Places You Go. LOL....Thanks for a great swap!
Response: I have a tattooed sleeve of Dr. Seuss characters (well, it's not finished YET, but hopefully soon)...I'm not obsessed or anything, I swear! Anyway, thanks for the 5 and heart!
Comment: Oooooh I love the postcard you sent! I fondly remember finding Cecropia moths as a child. Thank you for telling me about your hobby. I danced a bit as a teenager (ballet and tap) but nothing major. It's wonderful that you are still so active. Thanks for joining my swap and sending me such a fab pc! <3<3<3
Response: My son saw a Cecropia moth for the first time this spring. He loved them. :) Thanks for being such a great host! Also, thanks for the 5 and heart!!
Comment: Awesome!! The beer sounds so good, I love the chocolate ones, lol! Samuel Adams has a Chocolate one in their winter pack I loved! You know I so wanted to send you one I did of a local (Raleigh) one you would love the label! Hope to do this again! The Michigan Summer Beerfest would be right where I would want to be!! Lucky girl you are and in your hometown! Sweeeeet! Cheers, Dawn
Response: I love the local beer labels! They are always the best and most interesting ones! I hope to do it again soon! Thanks for the 5 and the heart! :) Have a great rest of your summer!
Comment: Hello Annie,
Thank you for the nice collection of postcards to select from for this Mash-up. I found several postcards I liked and wanted to keep. It was great fun looking through the postcards and choosing what I wanted.
Response: YAY! I'm glad you were able to find a few you liked!!!
Comment: Hello there -your postcard did arrive. But I'm afraid I felt like it was a bit... offensive. Hmmm... that, or it just caught me on a bad day. Either way, I don't feel like your rating should suffer (although I just can't bring myself to give a heart on this one -my apologies). How was Mackinac Island? -I hope to go someday.
Response: I'm sorry you found it offensive. I thought it was fun, but I'm not offended by anything...Maybe I'm just immune? Thanks for the 5, nonetheless. Mackinac Island is great. I've been several times, but it was the first time I've taken my son...he loved the horses :) It's definitely a must-see if you ever come to Michigan.
Comment: OMG! This sounds like the PERFECT beer for us... I love guava flavor and my husband is an IPA fanatic! Kona's Wailua Wheat is the closest beer I've ever had with a hint of the tropical flavors I enjoy... guava & passion fruit are my two favorites... Wailua Wheat is passion fruit flavored. I've already scanned your card and sent it off to relatives in MI to be on the lookout for it and I'm crossing my fingers that they are lucky enough to stumble upon a 6-pack. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for sharing. (Love these swaps, BTW!)
Response: I've had Wailua Wheat from Kona! It's tasty for sure! Usually this particular beer comes out in April, so maybe you can find it around then? Good luck getting some - Let me know where your relatives find it! We got on a waiting list this year here in Ann Arbor!
Comment: Love the beer box postcard that you sent! We have actually eaten there... attended the Michigan Summer Beer Festival a few years ago and ate dinner @ Arbor Brewing afterwards. Both were great experiences! Didn't know that they'd expanded to India! Thanks so much for the info, and bringing back great memories.
Comment: Hello Annie,
Thank you for the 5 postcards you sent me to choose from for this swap. I found one postcard that "caught my eye." The others I will send on for the next swapper to choose from in the next round. Thank you again for your postcard choices.
Comment: Thank you for the great PC. When we lived north of town when the kids were in school we were right on the edge of the Prairie Band Potawatomi reservation. If we would have stayed there we would be only about a mile or 2 from the casino they built. (Vegas style)
Comment: Hey Annie! Hahahahaha! =D I was so glad when I saw you were one of my partners for this swap ^_^ Anyway your letter has been a great surprise! I'm writting you back ASAP!
(and other postcard is in its way to you!)
Response: I was excited to have gotten you as a partner! Glad you received the letter...it certainly didn't take long to reach you! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: LOL! OMG. I just got this exact same postcard a couple days ago from another member in the "off colored/xrated postcard swap". She created that swap for the same reason you did... so she can use the postcards. SO funny.
Response: Of course, out of all the postcards in that collection I send you the same one as someone else! Darn! LOL I'm glad you thought it was funny though :)
Comment: I've just received your postcard today. I can see a bit of my Illinois on your Michigan postcard (I stayed at IL for a year as an exchange student in highschool). Well, yours name list is pretty cool, I like them. Thank you for the postcard :D
Response: Glad you liked it and thank you for joining my swap!
Comment: You sound like a fun and strong minded woman. I love your bucket list and share a couple of those same ambitions. At my age (53) I call it my "live-it list." I really appreciated reading the answers to your questions. They made me smile and made me think. I love the young generation and strongly believe we need a young President and leaders because it is the young minds with young ideas we need running the world.
Comment: Thanks for the great collage postcard of Queenstown, Tasmania. A few years were toured around most of Tassie, but did not get as far as Queenstown. Next time we go there, we will visit the town. The whole island is beautiful. Lovely card and great stamps, too. Thanks.
Comment: Thanks for the awesome postcard! I haven't shown it to my son yet (he's doing homework), but I know he will want it for his collection when he sees it! :-) Thanks for the sweet note too. I feel the same way about my son!
Comment: Hi Annie and thank you very much for your beagle-postcard. I love dogs but I guess I'd hate your boss, too. My boss also steals money buying f.ex. computers, ebooks, ... for his whole family from the money here. :(
I'd need a high stack of postcards to write why I hate him, too.
Is there any hope that your boss will soon quit her job, be fired, leave?
Hey,, week-end comes. Have some beautiful days!
Response: My boss will not be quitting her job...because she is the owner. So unless she sells the place, we're stuck with her :( I'm giving until June 1 for things to change. If they don't, I have to leave for my own sanity! Have a great weekend!
Comment: What a terrific postcard you sent of Detroit! My grandmother worked in the automobile tire factory down there her whole life. I remember taking the bus to the downtown J.L. Hudson's with my girlfriends to shop and go to the movies. I saw Gone With the Wind there for the first time. My husband lived and went to school near Derby Hill (and yes, he even competed in the Soap Box Derby). You are correct that there isn't a city quite like it. Thanks for taking us on a walk down memory lane!
Response: :) I'm glad you enjoyed it and that it brought back some fond memories for you! I personally like Detroit. Though, it's sad to see such a great city slowly crumble, the crumble is also lovely in its own way.
Comment: Hi Dear Annie: Received post cards in
my mail box today. Thank you so so much. I hope we can continue to swap
cards like this. Yours are just great
my contact is email@example.com
We can talk about what you want to know from my Mohawk Culture.
Comment: Hi Annie, thanks for the postcard of the boat in the setting sun. I did not realize that boat owners string lights all over their boats like the one shown in this card. How did you manage a sail on a pirate-like ship? That's pretty cool! All the best, Cynthia
Response: I've seen them do it in Florida in person a few times. It's pretty neat looking! I sailed on a tall-ship when I worked as a marine science instructor on an island in Southern California. The company had a tall ship that they used to take kids out in...and we got to do it for a weekend. It was AWESOME...except I got really sea sick...BLARGH!
Comment: Hello Annie,
Ireland, like you, is a place I hope to visit. Thank you for the postcard you sent me that represents Ireland. Until I get a chance to go, the postcard will have to do. This postcard will be a great addition to my postcard collection. Happy Swapping!!!!
Comment: Well, now this is an interesting card! I've never seen a card that is actually cut into the shape of the state before! But really, it is the little references to legal statutes that has me going. What on earth is wrong with a footless bathtub? And who would care if you slept naked unless you were sleeping in public? And all the poor murdered cats! It just goes on and on.... No wonder the Minnesotans are such a stoic people, as they have such stringent rules to live under! Thanks for a great card, Cynthia
Response: Glad you found it interesting! I did too! LOL It made me giggle!
Comment: Hello Annie,
Thank you for the postcard you sent me for this swap. I have never been to Detroit but that big tire would definitely let me know I was entering Detroit. I will add this postcard to my collection.
I am enjoying this swap. Happy Swapping!!
Comment: Thank you for all the great PC's. Love them all. I do remember General/President Eisenhower. He was President during my grade school days and he was from Kansas having been born in Abeline, KS
Comment: Here in Minnesota it's 30-ish today and raining and we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground and of course it will get cold and snowy again soon. And yes, somewhere with warm breezes and lots of sunshine would be a great treat! Thanks for the lovely postcard.
Comment: Hi Annie, thanks for the Zazzle card showing the Waipi'o ? beach in Hawaii. Having never been to Hawaii, I am naturally curious. And I agree, Zazzle cards definitely fill a void. Thanks! Cynthia
Comment: What a great PC. . . I do like the multiviews and this one is so interesting. Have you ever gone to the Bavarian Festival there? I'm sure it would be great fun and have some wonderful food :-) Thanks for taking me to another place that looks very quaint and such fun ~~
Comment: I love this post card! I have actually been watching a lot of movies like Forks over Knives and trying to eat more plant-based foods. I actually grew up on a farm and was an agriculture major in college, so it's a different way of life. Thanks for sharing your card with me! I will take very good care of it!
Comment: My email must have messed up because I didn't receive any of the five ladies quotes. I'm going to rate you with a 5 and a heart because I trust you and I'm sure they were fabulous! Thanks for trying :^)
Response: Check your Spam mailbox! That's where a lot of mine go!
Comment: Thanks for another wonderful swap! Where was this picture taken? I love all your "little things" and the stickers too! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: The PC I sent you was a photo of a few of the Channel Islands in Southern California. I used to live on one of the islands (Santa Catalina), and sailed on a tall ship to one that only a few thousand people are allowed to visit every year (Santa Barbara). The gov't wants to start fracking there. It makes me sick thinking about it...because they are so beautiful :) Glad you liked it and awesome to swap with you again :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful selection of postcards that you "scavenged" for this swap. I know I'll enjoy using them and I'm definitely going to check out the book your friend wrote. Thank you again!
Response: You're more than welcome! Happy Holidays!
Comment: Thanks for the great card, Annie! I too have been to Sarasota and remember it fondly. I don't know about spending Christmas there though--to me it wouldn't seem like Christmas if it wasn't cold and snowy.
Response: What's funny is I spent my entire childhood going to the beach every Christmas. It was quite the adjustment the past few years being in cold and snowy Michigan!
Comment: Thank you so much for a great card & the story to go with it. I can see by your bucket list why you found my profile interesting. We have much in common. I've done a few things you list, although the tree I lived in wasn't a redwood, it was a mango tree in Coconut Grove!
Response: Awesome! :) If you want a new pen pal, I think we'd have much to talk about! :) Contact me if you're interested :)
Comment: I love turtles in all sizes, thank you for sharing this pc with me! And I would not say it is so different in Japan vs stateside. People are still people with the same sorts of needs and desires. But so far I do prefer it over stateside! It's the seafood. Can't resist the sushi!
Comment: I have been really bad about following the world series this year. Way too much other stuff going on. I hope the tigers did well. Thanks for the great PC. It's so cool your grandfather played for them.
Comment: Thanks for the card--I reviewed a recent history of the Indianapolis Speedway for Library Journal. Interesting and fun. Sorry the Tigers didn't go all the way. Fielder is still one of the most popular jersies at Miller Park--second only to Braun. Detroit still has a great team. Maybe next year, as the Cubs fans usually say.
Comment: Hi Annie,
thank you so much for your package. It was a great surprise. I just love everything: the wool, the stickers (I love cats and dogs), the pens, the bag!!!! I'd like to give you more hearts if I could.
Comment: Sorry -- somehow your email ended up in Spam and I had to go looking for it! Wow! What beautiful photos! I loved the Madagascar, Azores, and Iceland ones in particular. I'd also like to go to these places and the Czech Republic. Take heart, you do eventually get to travel with your kids, and it is a different experience, when you get to see places through their eyes!
Comment: Chichen Itza is the most amazing place (you'd love Tulum and Coba just as much). If you want to see some of my photos just let me know (I have lots from our trip 2 years ago). And, I'd love to go to Chernobyl but found out that if you go lots of countries won't let you in because they think you'll have really high radiation readings.
Response: I'd love to see some photos! Are they posted somewhere? My husband and I are obsessed with the Mayan temples and their association with the end of the Mayan calendar!
Comment: Howdy Annie Maxine..... I so enjoyed the card and I have been in Michigan numerous times as my husband is from Midland and YES there are some beautiful beaches there.... I wanna sit in one of these chairs and feel the breeze.... THANK YOU ever so much you make me SMILE!
Comment: Thanks for the great PC! My husband, son and I walked the Bridge on Labor Day for years. We loved the drive from WI. It was beautiful. There was a mini-bridge walk on our way back to WI too. People walked from one side of a regular road bridge to the other side. They did not get quite as dressed up or perform as many antics, but it was cute! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: LOVE LOVE LOVE! Annie...this was right up my alley! I love the Fairy Doors and I love the postcard and I especially love the Fairy Sparkleez! I think a road trip to Ann Arbor is in my future! Thank you so much :)
Comment: Thanks for the card; it is lovely, and also quite special since my husband and I are U of AK alums, and our older daughter and family live in Juneau. We haven't been to Glacier Bay yet, but maybe next trip. Thanks again, and happy swapping!
