Comment: Thanks for the 'chunk' and nice note.
I hope this finds you well.
The flu is about passed here and I think I have lucked out. (Knock on my head, which is a wood-like substance.) I don't know how I got away without it as I have been taking care of the children of a couple adults with it and then taking care of the ill children -- the little germ incubators. You are right in that all three of the five-year-olds did much better than their mother with it.
It is, of course, spring here too. In Maine though, we don't call it that. It is 'mud season, followed by 'black fly season', then 'mosquito season'. By the time we can actually go outside, its so hot I don't want to.
It hit fast this year. One week there was snow in the forest and piles a meter and more high from the plowing. The next week, there was not a hint of snow to be found, but for the deepest ditches at the side of the road, and daytime temps were, and continue to be, reaching 20 to 22C.
Comment: Yum, those snack cakes are super good! One of my 1st graders brought some to school for snacks last week and that was the first time I had tried them. Good for you for quitting sugar, I have done that before and also have been vegan...neither now although I really need to again!
Comment: I loved the postcard! snowed where I live the last few weeks baby school system keeps canceling school. then the snow is only a fraction of what they predicted(only 2 inches instead of 12-18 in). Yes it gets extremely hot (sometimes 150F inside or hotter) I can only suit up for an hour, though some can do it allo day. (those that wear it multiple days are referred to as musky huskys cause they usually stink. we have special sprays to clean the suits.
Comment: Hi Sabine, thank you so much!! I loved your decorated envelope so much. How gorgeous the skyline of San Francisco! And my mom is a nurse as well, thank you for your note. I would love it if you could join the SF correspondence society too ❤️
Comment: Hi Sabine! I got the PC. I really love it! Our instant oatmeal and cream of wheat or cream of rice do not have such a fun, winter theme on the boxes :-) I am sorry you will not be riding your bike for a little while now, due to your snow. But know that I can sympathize with you! We should be getting some snow tomorrow. Ick. I think I need some of your wonderful porridge to warm me up. I hate the cold!! Thank you again for the fantastic PC!!
Comment: Hello dear Sabine! Thank very much for the wonderful swap. Iove Star Ward and Superhero postcards. Also the tea with Moomins looks amazing. I will keep these cute packages for sure ;) Everything is so great. Even an envie and stapms are beautigul. I miss snow, but we have pretty warm autumn so far here, in Poland. Stay warm! ~ Agnieszka

Comment: Hello dear Sabine :) Thank you for such an amazing happy mail. It really made my day! I love everything. Superman pc is so awesome and I will definitely leave the packaging of tea with mumines as a souvenir. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the great vintage airplane postcard! Some time ago I lived near a small airport and often a red bi-plane would fly over my house doing loop-de-loops, death spirals, etc. It was fun to sit and watch my own private air show. Good memories!
Comment: Thanks Sabine for the massive fridge magnet;! You are so lucky to live in Father Xmas country!!
Love the post card too, my grandma had a game of Happy Family with similar drawings. Brought back memories xxx
Comment: Dear Sabine,
I received your letter and fantastic goodies today. I truly appreciate all of the care and effort you put into it. I love it so much!!
I would absolutely love to keep in contact with you. I will write soon.
Comment: Loved both quotes, front and back! I almost used the one you picked but decided to go with a Monty Python one this time 'cause I laughed when I read it: "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government." Things are fine here except it's hot as blue blazes, going to be 42.2 °C all weekend! Thank you!
Comment: I love the quirky postcard and the quote too! I also like to sit and relax in the morning with a nice cup of coffee... especially on the days I don't have to rush around and get ready for work!
Comment: Oooh, thank you so much! This postcard is suuuper pretty!! Currently my favorite brush lettering pen is the Pentel Fude Touch Brush Sign Pen and workin' on my 'moves' is an every day challenge! Thank you again!
Comment: Thank you for the awesome book cover PC! Love it! The stamp on it pretty cool as well! Our weather is warming up it’s in the 80s today! Glad you got yo spend Mother’s Day with your Mom precious times enjoy your Mother!

Comment: Hello Sabine,
Thank you for the 6 wash samples you sent me to fulfill this swap. In fulfilling this swap, you shared 6 new washi tapes with me that I have not seen. Have a Great Week!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard and nice note. You do an amazing and difficult job, so I congratulate you on that! I am glad spring has arrived there - yesterday it was raining here, today you need sunscreen - crazy California! I hope you are well!
Response: You're welcome. We are just about to have leaves on trees within a week I presume, no need for sunscreen yet in here 😃
Comment: Hello Sabine!!!
❤️blue postcard with tram
❤️Finland (high on my wishlist to travel to)
❤️decorated back of the postcard
What more can I say: That's a lot reasons to adore this postcard!!!!!
Response: Oh thank you dear and I'm happy you liked the postcard 😊 Have a happy Easter!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. We just had a major snowstorm here yesterday 10 inches. It was such a pretty storm. I love your stamp with the children on it.
Response: I'm glad you liked the card, those stamps are Easter stamps. In Finland kids go kind of like trick or treat at Easter. Kids wave colorfully decorated willow branches wishing good and healthy year - they get a treat and give a willow branch in return :) Happy Easter!
Comment: The mountainous postcard, wow! So majestic. The museum is splendid. The washi tapes are wonderful. I sooo cannot wait to try the teas; the packagings are so adorable! Thank you so much for all these incredible things. BTW, your writing is so pretty! :)
Comment: Umm, wow! Thanks so much for an incredible envelope! I love everything and especially the notecard you included - brilliant card and thoughtful words. I'll trade you your 3C for our 34C and humidity! My air con went on for the first time today and will be on frequently now until March! Bring back winter! I hope we get to swap again, until then, if you need another penpal just let me know :-)
Comment: Hi Sabine!
Thank you for the vibrant, happy postcard. I also love the washi tape you used.
I love your three wishes. I also wish for peace, a good future for my kids, and a cure for cancer (both of my parents passed away from cancer).
On to happier thoughts, i think your handwriting is beautiful! I love how even and uniform it is. Also, I have been looking for a weather stamp like yours. Would you mind telling me where you bought it?
Response: Oh dear.. I thought I answered you but wooops! About the weather stamp. I bought it online from Papersisters (german webshop, great, fast and reliable service) 😊
Comment: The card is beautiful, and reminds me of Alaska. We have that same pale pink light at times during the winter, and I love both the cold and the dark, which I know you experience as well.
Thanks, and happy swapping!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card and the nice note. We really don't have fall here in Arizona -- the trees up on the mountains change color, and a few lower down, but it doesn't last very long. I miss the cool days and the scent of fall, so different from either summer or winter! Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the beautifull postcard of the Elves and the shoemaker. And thanks for the story on the back. I'm a big fan of the Grimm's fairytales. I have a big book with all collected fairytales from the brothers Grimm. My version is illustrated by Anton Pieck, 2 of my favourites together in one.
Comment: Beautiful postcard of An American in Paris, and well chosen, too. Gene Kelly is one of my favorite actors, and Gershwin is timeless - my most recently learned piano piece is a Gershwin standard (Someone to Watch Over Me), and long ago I could play Rhapsody in Blue. And the coffee postage stamp is terrific. Thanks again!
Response: I'm so happy the card was liked! It always feels so great to send someone a card from her/his wishlist or among interests 😊 The coffee stamp is also one of my favorites 😊

Response: Oh thank you! 😊 It's rather uncommon name in Finland actually, I don't know another one in here, even though there must be many. It's more used in Germany and France.
Spring slowly makes its way over here but at least it's coming 😊
Have a lovely start for the upcoming week!
