Response: Hey Tish! I'm so that you you thought it was cool. I enjoy sending stuff that I think people with like and that comes from the heart. I leave for camping early tomorrow morning (SO EXCITED). I hope that you have a great weekend and that we swap again soon. Best, Rick!

Response: Hawks are AWESOME! Glad that you've been able to spot a few. Best, Rick!
Response: You have to get, or better yet make, some pretzels (I too want to do that, just never make the time). Ooohh, hot fudge...I do love that stuff too. I'm happy to have been able to swap with you and hope that our 'postal paths' cross again soon. Best, Rick!
Response: I have to say that I'm very envious. WA is such a beautiful place. When I was driving around, I felt that it's a major city in the woods. Sure, I was not in Seattle proper, but the outskirts like Belleview, Redmond, etc. What I'm come to learn with age, is that every place has its beauty...you just have to stop and take a moment to appreciate it. Best, Rick!
Response: My pleasure. I was looking for a special stamp, and was shocked to find that I had a matching one! I'm so happy you noticed it and liked it. It's a joy to make something special, but the real reward is when the recipient notices. Keep bird watchin'!! Best, Rick!
Response: Thanks for such a nice response! Semi-truck driver? Wow! The amazing things you've probably seen! I'm envious. I hope that you make it AK and HI. I haven't been to either, but hope to someday. HI seems like it would be fun, but between the two, I'd choose AK....it has such majestic landscapes. Best, Rick!
Response: My pleasure Celery! I do love swapping with you, it's always special to have "swap friends" that you interact with on the regular. I'm looking forward to the next time our paths cross. Best, Rick!!

Response: My pleasure! I love to swap with you! Best, Rick!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! A lot of the fun is putting it together, but it's extra special to hear that the recipient liked it! Shenandoah NP is supposed to be beautiful, beyond compare I hear - especially if you'll get to see some of the fall colors. I don't know too much about River Gorge NP, but I'm sure you'll find beauty there too. If you think about it, DM me and let me know how it was...I'd love to hear about it. Best, Rick!!
Response: I love swapping with you! You're my most favorite swap partner!

Response: I'm so happy that the PC finally arrived! Thanks for the compliments on the PC, I've been thinking of a good project using repurposed materials, and thought that reusing the security envelops as art would be cool. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Best, Rick

Response: I wish we stayed colder longer, but Arizona always seems to break 100F by the end of April. The summers are hot, but without humidity (we start complaining around 20%), so that's a plus. Happy swapping, RIck

Response: National Parks are the coolest, right?!? We ran onto some snow/road closure issues when we visited the Great Smoky Mountains NP. The Newfound Gap road was close and we couldn't get to some scenic areas of the park. No worries, the Smoky Mountains have no shortage of scenic areas. Arches is on your list, as are all of the UT NPs. Great Basin (NV) is on my short list to visit, but it's hard to get to (towing a trailer from AZ...and that's how I'd like to stay there). Soon enough though, soon enough. I'm envious of the GC Rim to Rim. My wife and I did Havasupai several years ago (from the Southern Rim on the Western end of the park to the Native American Havasupai village on the canyon floor, and it was magical. I'd like to do it again, but it's closed to the public now. Anywhoo, happy swapping with you and I hope our paths cross again! Best, Rick
Response: Anytime. I'm glad it brought a smile to your face and warmed your heart...that's all one can as for. I look forward to our next swap-crossing! Best, Rick
Response: Anytime! Great to have swapped with you! Best, Rick
Response: My pleasure. It was great to swap you with you! I do some lose leaf at work too...but it's a lot to keep up. A coworker gave me a brewstick by B& Co (UK), and it makes loose leaf at work a lot more accessable. Anywhoo, I'll see you in the swap-o-verse! Best, Rick
Response: I'm going to have to check out Oden's Ravens and Crazy Cat Lady...my wife and I are always looking for 2-player games as our son is in college, still lives at home, but has a lot of his own adventures going on. Yep, we hit 100F last month...it always seems to hit 100F before the end of April. Ugh...now for the long, hot summer.
Response: Cinnamon Toast Crunch....yum! Best, Rick
Response: PB Cap'n all the way...none of the crunch berry stuff...YUCK! Glad to have had the opportunity to have swapped with you! Best, Rick
Response: Nice. I've got the wheelbarrow, still looking for that large pile of money! HAHAHA. Best, Rick
Response: I'd be lying if I said that's never happened to me. For what it's worth, it was a a chunk of a 6-pack holder of Pumpkin Lager from Lakefront Brewery. I'm not much of a drinker, but I do like a good pumpkin brew in the fall (even though it takes me about 4 months to finish the pack!). Best, Rick!

Response: Thank you. I hope that you weekend was good as well. ~ Rick
Response: Ooooh, SO MUCH FUN! Best, Rick
Response: Too funny. We've never done the 'trunk or treat' thing, but I'm aware of the practice. It sort of 'came to be' as our son was nearing the teenage 'phase out' of trick-or-treating. Seems fun! Makes me wonder....do the fancy cars have the 'full-size candy bars' just like the fancy houses do? : )
Response: My pleasure. ~ Rick
Response: Penguins are neat...have you ever heard Benedict Cumberbatch pronounce "penguin"? He says "ping-wing", it's too funny! ~ Rick

Response: Whatever path you choose, may you find peach and harmony. Blessed be, Rick
Response: Susan, No, I haven't heard of The Wild Trees...I'm putting it on my Goodreads account right now! I always have too many books that I'm reading. I like audiobooks so I can read to/from work/lunch (have 2-3 of those I'm in the middle of right now), and several physical books as well. I don't always think of myself as an avid reader, but I think I am! ; ) Best, Rick
Response: Wow! What crazy stories! I've seen bears (and deer) eating from bird feeders on YouTube...I would have never thought they'd do that! Too crazy! I wish you the best with your "bear-proofing" Deb. ~ Rick
Response: Yes, Happy Mabon and now, Samhain Blessings! ~ Rick
Response: Blessings to you! ~ Rick
Response: We've found Liquid Death at Whole Foods. You can order direct from their website too, but even with some deals they offer, the price/case is still higher than WF. Give it a try! Best, Rick

Response: My favorite thing to eat are cookies! Yum! Best, Rick
Response: We driven all of it in AZ, a lot in CA, and visited the ends is CA and IL. I’d love to ride my bike the length of it...some day. Some parts don’t exist anymore and some are completely untainted. It’s good to know the history because I feel that it’s fading away. It’s good that we’re both doing our part to keep the memory alive. Best, Rick
Response: Thanks so much!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! Best, Rick
Response: Glad you liked it! Best, Rick
Response: May our beautiful skies and vast deserts welcome you with open arms. Best, Rick
Response: Hey Debbie! I'm glad that you liked the PC and looked into the games. We play a lot, A LOT, of games in my house! My favorite when we're 'out and about' is, hands down, Ship, Captain, Crew. I always have a deck of cards and some dice in the car so we can keep ourselves busy when waiting at a resturant, etc. I hope that you do get to play! Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad that you got to experience some of Arizona's beauty (and saw beauty in our many shades of brown). ; )
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the list! Ya, my family teases me about my headlamp use. Anytime someone needs me do look for something, do some detail work, go outside at night, etc. I always say, "wait, let me grab my headlamp". Best, Rick
Response: My pleasure! It IS pretty nice weather right now...the summer....not so much. ; )
Best,
Rick
Response: You're welcome!
Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed the PC and were able to find beauty in the desert. Not everyone can look beyond the browns and greys of the landscape to see the beauty that lies therein. The desert fox washi is one of my favorites too...I fear that I'm going to use it all up! ; ) Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad that you liked it! Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad that you liked it. Yes, it was an awesome find! Best, Rick.
Response: Wow! Thanks sounds so cool. I greatly enjoy wildlife biology and enjoyed the fieldwork in the early part of my career. Now days I'm more of an email jockey and spend more time managing clients and staff. I do get to go into the field every now and then, and I really like it. Best, Rick.
Response: Glad to hear you liked it! Best, Rick
Response: Yes, definitely! I'm glad you liked the card and stamps. Best, Rick
Response: My pleasure. I'm glad that we swapped. Best, Rick
Response: Washington is beautiful, it truly is. Coming from the southwestern US desert of mostly brown landscape, anything green looks pretty amazing to me. Best, Rick
Response: Thank you. I'm so happy that you looked into Yule and found some interesting stuff. At the end of Yule (it asts several days), on New Year's Eve, we burned the Yule Log in our backyard fire pit. We each wrote down our resolutions/intentions of paper and burned them in the fire. 2020 was an odd year, and 2021 seems that it will be better, but still not "normal", so we wanted to try out some new things. I wish you the very best this year. Stay safe and healthy, Rick
Response: I'm glad you loved the tea and quote. Remember, "where there's tea, there's hope". Best, Rick
Response: My pleasure. I love these chunk swaps. They're the best! ~ Rick

Response: You are very welcome. Best, Rick
Response: Works for the EPA? So cool! The bamboo is a little 'different', but it's not that bad. We try to do what we can to make a difference in the world, eco-friendly products are just a small step in making the world a better place. We got a bidet in April too. I like it, but the blow dryer not so much. It seems to start out fine, but as the heated air ramps up it's less than comfortable. Best, Rick
Response: My pleasure! It's great that you're playing games on Christmas Day! My family loves playing tabletop games as it's a great way to spend time with the ones you love. Best, Rick
Response: My pleasure! I'm glad you liked them. Best, Rick
Response: Awesome! We bought some Yule Goat ornaments this year. I hope that you've had a Joyous Yuletide and are looking forward to a Happy New Year! Best, Rick
Response: Yes, I do! I always like to write a lot on PCs and tend to write small...the 0.28 nib on my pens helps out quite a bit! About the "two packets of Italian sesoning"...that was supposed to be "two packets of Italian dressing mix'. We didn't have those on hand, so my wife googled how to make your own from herbs/seasoning commonly on hand. We saw several YouTubers making the crackers (some called them "Fire Crackers" or "Swamp Crackers") and tinkered with the recipe a bit (we opted for a little more rec chili flakes). If you search the internet/YouTube, you'll find several variations. Some people used Ranch Dressing Mix, but we don't eat dairy. I like the crackers as I tend to want savory snacks, not sweet. I hope that you make them and that you find them a tasty as we do! Best, Rick
Response: I think it's the best! Cheers!
Response: I'm glad that you liked it! Cheers!
Response: It's great that you got to see the Grand Canyon. I've been lucky enough to visit a few times and every time it's like seeing it for the first time. I'm a huge baseball fan too. My favorite player is Gerardo Parra who played in the outfield with the Brewers for a short time. I like the little guys (Altuve, Pedroia, Parra)...the guys so short you'd never guess they play pro ball...it's all about heart! Best, Rick
Response: Glad you like it (and can appreciate it's weirdness)! Best, Rick
Response: Hahahah, me too! Best, Rick
Response: Totally! Mine too. I'm pretty sure there's kitty crack in there! Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad that you liked it!
Response: Thank you so much! I even shocked myself when I realized that I had stamps that fit the swap so well! Best, Rick
Response: You're welcome! I like to play around with a lot of pens, but my favorite seems to be the Uniball Signo DX 0.38 - that's what I used to write the body. I used the Pentel Energel 0.3 to block the "Please Kindly Deliver" and a Pilot G-2 0.38 for the red/green. I find that the Signo provides the best 'flow' and is the smoothest on most papers. The Signo comes in a 0.28 (I really like ultra fine nibs), but I haven't used it yet (I have both the 0.38 and 0.5). Some people rave about the Zebra Sarasa (I have that is a 0.3 and 0.5), but it's not my favorite. Anyway, I'm glad that you liked the pin-up, it's not often that I get to send those. Best, Rick
Response: That's so kind of you. I've been collecting stamps for a while now and would love to add to my collection! I get some really cool stamps on PCs, but don't pull them off because I don't want to damage the cards. Thank you so much!
Response: Ugh, Melancholia. It's a joke in my house that we reference for wasting time/the worst things ever. If you're a masochist, give it a watch, but I'm not endorsing it in any way. ; )
Response: My pleasure! I'm glad you like it!
Response: I'm so glad to hear that you liked it! I hope I get the axe too...I keep dropping hints to my wife and son. ; ) Best, Rick
Response: Animals are capable of amazing things, one of which is warming our hearts. Best, Rick
Response: I'm so glad you liked it, your kind words mean a lot to me. I try to always write from the heart as, if one is taking the time to write/read a letter, it should be straight and true. I look forward to swapping with you again. Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad you liked it! Best, Rick
Response: So good! I haven't seen Koo Koo Kanga Roo, I'll have to check them out. (I'm looking forward to seeing live music again). Best, Rick
Response: So much fun! Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed both! Best, Rick
Response: It's so worth the hard work! Best, Rick
Response: Pinterest handwriting board...GENIUS! I'm totally going to do that! Best, Rick
Response: I'm happy to hear that you made Halloween special for your grandkids! Best, Rick
Response: It IS weird how childhood food brings comfort...I still have the occasional 'mustard sandwich' (literally mustard and bread, nothing else) as I remember having them as snacks when I was young. Thank you for complementing my handwriting, that was very nice of you. It's funny, when I look at it all I see is room for improvement. You're very sweet.
Response: Mmm, so good, right!?!
Response: No rush on a response letter, take your time.
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the PC. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the compliment on my handwriting...you know how it goes, when I see my handwriting all I see is the need for improvement when others see the beauty. I greatly appreciate the compliment! Best!
Response: My pleasure! I hope to set up the swap on a recurring monthly basis. Best!
Response: Too funny, I don't want to give a spoiler, but don't be shocked if you get a 3rd card from "Arizona". Anyway, I look forward to continuing our chat, I send you a direct message. Best, Rick.
Response: My pleasure, I'm glad that you liked the PC I chose. We'll chat soon. Best, Rick.
Response: Glad you liked it! Best, Rick
Response: I'm glad that I could send you a swap that brightened your day. I love papercraft and love sharing with others. Best!

Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed them. I wish that you sip them in good health. Best!
Response: I hope you find them as tasty and they look/sound. Best!
Response: I do remember those spin offs, but I found that I was a traditionalist mostly enjoing the classic Archie, and Betty & Veronica. Some of the new spinoffs are pretty good too, I really enjoyed Afterlife and Vampironica I really appreciate swapping with you and wish you the best!
Response: I really appreciate you sharing. Now I guess we'll both be competing for the best thrift finds! ; )
Response: You're welcome!
Response: I'm so glad that I could send you something new..."sharing tea with a fascinating stranger is one of life's true delights" - Uncle Iroh, Avatar. Best!
Response: I'm glad you liked them. Happy Halloween to you!
Response: So glad you made a healthy choice that makes you feel better! I wish your daughter the best of luck!
Response: That's a bummer that the books didn't return, but hopefully they opened someone else up to a whole new world of magic and reading. You have a great "falliday" season!
Response: Glad you liked it! I'm anxiously awaiting yours...SO EXCITED!
Response: It was my pleasure swapping with you! Best!
Response: Camping is the best!
Response: You're welcome!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. When I saw that you like pin-ups, I knew that I had the perfect card. I've pulled trout out of Woods Canyon and Willow Springs, but only fishing off a boat..."nevah" from the shore! My favorite northern Arizona spot is Hawley Lake, but it requires a separate set of permits/licenses as it's on the WMAT reservation. Anywho, glad that you liked the card.
Response: Thanks! We're just starting season 3...it's so good!
Response: I TOTALLY count audible (if I didn't, I'd barely "read" at all). Funny aside, I read an article a while back about a brainwave study...the study said that audio books stimulate the brain the same way reading text does. I thought that was cool and a great argument point for those that "don't think audio books are real books". BAM! How do you like them apples! Best, Rick
