Comment: Hi Deb
Thankyou so much for you card & note. I didn't understand the breakfast stickers at first but read your note and yes I totally get it. It's the food, it's the memories that make Christmas as you get older. Recently we used beautiful bowls at my mum's 90th birthday party simply because we once used those at Christmas with our sweets in them Thankyou for reminding me of those special moments. Love all my extra goodies too. Happy New Year to you and my aplologises for the late rating.
Comment: Thanks for your lovely Christmas morning memory. Wrapping a toboggan is a crazy idea!!! Thanks for the Vancouver postcard and the nativity card as well. I love BC!!! Especially the Island. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Season's Greetings D,
Thank you for the Winter Christmas Card, Canadian Flag Decal & Religious notecard. Very thoughtful of you to include it. I saw the weekly weather report last night & Canadian Temperatures are frosty to say the least. Stay warm! Thanx for sharing the memories too:-)
p.s. I liked the 2 wise men postage stamps you used too!
Comment: Did this envelope ever stand out in my mailbox! I new right away i had mail....Was fun to go through all of the things....absolutely love the Canadian Rockies postcard booklet ❤️💙💚 And the coins 😍😍😍 thank you for everything.
Response: Glad you liked it and it arrived a-ok, enjoy :-)
Comment: So love the postcard you sent of different animals! Thank you much! Just when we think it's finally cool weather here. It warms back up & gets in the mid 70's. We haven't even had fall weather here. Just going to skip to winter I think. Lucky you, getting cool weather there in Canada!
Comment: Thank you ! I'm same way about heights. You can't even get me to go on step stool. Yup, I'm that bad. Mainly because i keep getting the dreams of falling & have since i was little. But every time I see this bridge, i recall Charmed show. It's in about every episode. So, I love this bridge despite height. Plus, I was an army brat and lived near there too.
Comment: Cue drum roll and confetti dropping as I let out a big whoop of thanks for including the spaghetti western in your delightful selection of cards! And I once worked very near that main branch of the NYC library & used to spend all my lunch hours there. I still visit it whenever I'm in NYC. I've no idea what the 1930's British poster with lizards and the phrase "would Starve a Lizard" means, but I love its quirkiness & feel some research coming on :) As if all the cool PCs were not enough you even included that wonderful vintage B&W photo.of tepees. Wouldn't you love to know the story behind that? Thanks for a great swap.
Comment: Thank you for the awesome bunch of cards! The schoolbus has a special place, it was our wedding bus 20 years ago 🚌. Frisco and the Southwest was our last vacation with our kids, also special memories...
Comment: Thanks for the glittery card. We had a holiday party yesterday and one of the ladies wore a sweater that won first prize last year at an ugly sweater party. It had huge stuffed elves sewn on it. It didn't light up or play music, tho.
Response: Luv it! Doesn't have to light up or be musical to still be goooood. ;-)
Comment: I hope you get a lovely "ugly" sweater this year (or at least win one of the contests), I actually think those Christmas-y sweaters are a lot of fun too! Happy holidays, and thank you for the card and cut outs.
Comment: Hey! Yes, they are touristy ... AND I now must join "Not my country"PC swaps asap!!! ... but they are lovely,& Thank You! :D Thanks for the Vintage PCs, & thanks also for the stickers! :) My daughter is right now with my parents, but I'm sure she'd love them!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. Evidently the post office loved your card so much they kept the bottom 2/3s of it - ha! I'm going to put in into my album in the plastic bag it came in for I find it amusing that a postcard would arrive like this! Glad you had the swap name at the top so I could contact you to be sure it was your card. Have a great day!
**update - thank you for the resend, you really didn't have to do that but thank you SO MUCH! :) <3
Response: Thank you. I decided to send a resend of a different pc anyway, cuz that's just not right what the PO did to it. Although amazing that torn that badly it still found you!
Comment: Wonderful Vancouver oversized card -- thanks very much! Denver's spring is crazy--one day we can set a high temp record and the next day it will snow - happened just last week. This weekend's weather is supposed to be great so we're going to the zoo w/our kids and granddaughter. thanks again!
Comment: It's one I had, but that's okay - the other one I have is new and unsent so I'll just swap them out and mail someone else the other one another time. There really are some neat lighthouses in Florida.
Comment: OMG - you have a Scott Bakula stamp in Canada?! Awesome! I went to Vancouver in 2007 as I boarded a cruise ship to Alaska - I loved Stanley Park, but I have to say "downtown" is like downtown Los Angeles! Have a great day!
Comment: Thanks for all these wonderful postcards! I have not visited Paris or London so those are fun to see. I have been through BC a few times both on the AlCan and through the Inside Passage on the ferry. I loved all the wild animals, I was able to see. I think I counted over 400 of them, on my trip in 2013. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: You're welcome. Yes, we're abundant in animals, had a family of 6 deer come past just a week or so ago. Hugs from BC. Deb
Comment: Your postcard is amazing thank you! It came damaged sadly but not bad. What I loved was canada post then wrapped it in plastic and put an apology on the postcard! What an amazing postal system the US is not so kind with our mail :) I loved it and all the stamps!!
Response: Sorry it didn't arrive pristine, I've had Canada Post deliver the occasional one to me that way too, no rhyme nor reason to what gets smushed and what doesn't. Hopefully this next one for the new swap, mailed today, will arrive in better condition! ;-)
Comment: Hello, D. Lane,
Thank you for the 5 postcards you chose to send me for this swap. I like all. the postcards but my favorite is the waterfall.postcard. I love the beauty of waterfalls. I would love to get more waterfall postcards over time from various artists.
Comment: This is a beautiful card and for all the reasons you listed-I agree! Thanks for the beautiful shaped postcards from Vancouver! The photograph is really nice-love black and white photos-Isn't there a John Prine about Lake Louise? Have a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years-a new year of swapping! Oh-and thanks for the stamps for my postage stamp collection-Thanks for sharing!
Response: You are welcome. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Comment: Another beautiful card from you :D
And this one was sent and received before the swaps dead line - which I think for Canada and Australia Post must be a world record, lol...
How did you go with the outdoor lights? has it stopped raining long enough?
We have a similar probably, but here it is meant to be summer, but it's been raining all week. We only landed back in Australia on Monday and our lawn looks like a scene from a Lara Croft movie, but we can't mow it until the rain stops, lol...
What the neighbors must think, lol...
Response: I also am so surprised it went that far that fast, I've had some really slow mail this year crossing the planet. Yes, finally we had a few days of no downpouring rains, just fog, so I got the lights up! Whew. :-)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card, It isn't often you see religious cards being sent through swap bot any more. And you are right the blue colour is stunning and perfectly suited to Mary and her sweet babe.
Thank you and Merry Christmas :D
Comment: We really just got some snow today, yesterday I was looking at grass and beautiful weather. I’m not much of a crafter either a little bit here and there but not like some of these people (WOW) and you’re the first person who’s ever sent me scrambled letters and thank you.
Comment: Thank you for the nice postcard! I showed it to my son-in-law who is into music. I hadn't seen a photo of Brahms before. He looks like a grandpa that would be rocking his grandchildren.
Have a good day!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful and sparkly Christmas card! Also a huge thank you for making it extra special by adding in the recipe cards! :) I will definitely be adding these to my recipe collection!
Comment: Than you for the pretty pc. I've both lived in and vactioned in Seattle. A great place! I lived there when the Space Needle was being built for the 1960 Seattle World;s Fair...went to the fair too.
Comment: So those are ATC's!!! Wowie! Thank you sooo much!
Who knew that a simple FB swap could be so fantastic!
What a super great envelope, filled with all sorts of fabulous surprises.
Thank you sooo much!!!!
If I could give you 10 stars, I would. Your swap was exciting, fun, and, simply mahvalous! Thank you!
Comment: thanks for the postcard! I visited vancouver over ten years ago, has it grown? It sure looks like it has if the photo is current! I sure would like to explore the other parts someday, like Toronto. It is a nice city and reminds me of OR and WA haha. Our part of OR is the sunniest part and over the other side of the Cascades. We are high desert so we get colder, still have trees, also volcanic formations, lots of rivers here. Not the green, mossy sometimes tolkien like forests, I just love Oregon. I saw just a bit of Vancouver, fabulous large park and open market etc..all those things that tend to be the best of european influence..or however to say it hahah
Comment: Thank you it was there when I got in from work tonight - their wonderful and I can't wait to get to them this weekend and include my info and send them on their way!!! You deserve way more than a 5 for getting them here as quick as they came. Thank you again.
Comment: hi thanks for fb but the poster you sent me i do not collect thats why your getting a 5 and not a heart
Thanks! It's ok, it's Not a poster, I just wrap the fbs in any magazine/book page to protect it in case the PO rips the outside envelope, it wasn't meant to be a 'poster', just mail protection ;-)
Comment: What a great survey! Thanks! I can't wait to do it and return it. Are there ALWAYS a lot of problems with Canadian mail being opened by customs? It was only a letter sized envelope and paper inside, so that's really weird that I received it opened and in another envelope from the US postal service. Nothing against YOU, I know it's not YOUR fault. :-) Thanks again!
Response: No problem, that's the first one I've heard about this season, however both US and Canada customs always randomly pull some mail to check, so that must have been one of them? I hope whomever saw it enjoyed reading the survey :)
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful postcard from Florence, Italy. That's where my daughter did her JYA in 2001-2002 and I was able to visit her there shortly before she came home. Good memories! Thanks and take good care, Susan
Comment: Wonderful atc's I found the one about the lake really interesting,,I live on a lake here in NC..so I love anything about lakes..Thanks also for the Sex in the City, love that show...I Thank you with a heart for sharing your wonderful talented art work with me,,,
Comment: Hello bcdebinbc,
I received your postcard for the "M is for.... Postcard" Swap. What a beautiful place. I have family that has been to Whistler to ski. I am not a skier, but I would still love to visit Whistler sometime. I am sure it will be a wonderful place for the Winter Olympics. I have a wonderful ever-changing and ever-growing postcard collection. I look forward to adding your postcard to my collection and it eventually being a part of a postcard book of some kind that I can share with others. I hope we have future encounters. Until we do so, Happy Spring!
Comment: Hi; I received you cute Valentine Card today, "kiss me you fool" clever sticker. I really like the stickers, my puppy is sitting right in the middle. Smart thinking to use a very pretty calendar page. I will have an incredible Valentine's Day and may you have a delightful Valentine's Day also. Thank you, Doskie
Comment: Love that quote! Something weird is in the air about Anne Murrary. You sent that post card and I heard several of her songs at Christmas and I hadn't heard any of hers in years. I might have to go hunt down one of her CD's.
Response: Thanks! She just had a new duets cd come out, that's probably why you heard her more lately. ;-)
