Comment: Margaret I LOVE THIS POSTCARD. Mmmm spicy! I like reading sci fi too. It wasn't my thing before but my boyfriend is introducing me to interesting reads. I've only heard good reviews about "The Last Kingdom", but still haven't checked it out. I'm currently trying out "Money Heist". Thank you again Margaret, have a great day!
Comment: Thank you for the PC. I do like your journal question. I love our winter. Winter is a wonderful time to be outside as it is so mild in our state.
Response: My favorite season has always been fall, even in Arizona. I love the days (weeks, if we're lucky) where I don't need to use the AC or heat to keep the house temperature in an acceptable range. Thanks for the heart; see you around the swaps.
Comment: The card was lovely. I actually saw the most stunning butterfly is ever seen yesterday so this called the off nicely. I tried Discovery of Witches but couldn't get into it. It may be because I've had a hard time reading fiction lately.
Response: Thanks for the heart; much appreciated. My daughter shaving visual challenges with book reading and so lately has been enjoying audiobooks. After rejecting that format for a number of years, I've really come to enjoy them. I have listened to the 4 books in the ADOW world several times through while walking. I hope that suggestion might help you as well. See you around the swaps.
Comment: Hi Margaret. I love seeing the house all decorated for Christmas, especially the tree. Just like your granddaughter though, I dont like having to take everything down. Thank you for the pretty card. Happy holidays, take care.
Response: Our tree STILL isn't up. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard! It's Dec. 7 here and I've yet to put our tree up too--my son is starting to get that pacing cat waiting for food look about him, so I know what you mean. Kids are so funny, the Christmas anxiety is real if that tree is not up December ONE on the dot. I'm gonna let him sweat it out another day or two though and give in. Happy holidays to you, and good luck to your granddaughter on her quest to get the tree up!
Response: Thanks for the heart. I hope your tree is up; ours STILL isn't!!! Merry Christmas
Comment: Great choice! How did they take a beautiful picture of the Tetons and put the state capitol over it??? I'm going to Savannah next month and I can't wait. Hoping this heat breaks here soon. It was 100 degres yesterday :(:(:( THANKS for the card and note :):):)
Comment: I love My Neighbor Totoro. I mean it's no Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away (my fav!) but it is definitely up there!!! There are some movie theaters around here that do special Studio Ghibli screenings and my kids are just getting to the age where they'll appreciate seeing them on a giant screen versus our tv and I'm so excited to share that with them. Thanks for the pc ^_^
Comment: A lovely start to this postcard. I will try to do it justice. Thanks for the extras. I have sent many cards home. I always seem to be starting a new one but have not received many completed ones back as yet.
Comment: Thank you for your Arizona map postcard. I recently received a couple of postcards from your state, maybe it's a sing to visit it haha. That's awesome that your family started watching the Expanse and that you are a fan. It hooked me up pretty fast and the books (I'm currently reading the 2nd) are also good. Best sci-fi show in a long time. Thanks, again ^^
Comment: Thanks so much for choosing the perfect card for me, Margaret, & for sending it in envie too. Brest Brest Brest cards really appeal to my quirky sense of humor! Florida has been my base for many tears, but the longer, hotter summers & stronger hurricanes are making me think about re-locating too. But the weather has been gorgeous lately & the birding spectacular!
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. I would love to see 70deg here again. Current temp on 3-8-19 is 42deg F. The warmest in several weeks.
Response: Thanks for the heart. Remember us this summer when you're in the 80's and we're at 110F!!! I've always joked that in the midwest we hunkered down in the winter and in the desert, we're like the lizards and hunker down in the summer.
Comment: Please forgive my late rating--I just discovered this inside another envelope. This is beautiful. I'm so interested in the butterfly you created! Did you cover the entire butterfly in bronze UTEE and then stamp into it? It is BEAUTIFUL! I love the card--that bright, bold butterfly is so eye-catching. Thank you so much!
Response: The butterfly is cut out of Art Emboss copper metal sheet I die cut then embossed with cuttlebug die/folder set, then colored the embossed areas with black paint. The flower design in the background is another piece of Art Emboss that’s black metal. So I ended up using two pieces of metal. I’m glad you liked it. It was fun to make. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Hey there! I just sent you a postcard for an ad card swap, which you rated me for in late February. So we have swapped before! Thank you for this postcard - the Japanese cat & butterfly are beautiful! Sorry about your craft fail! I don't know anything about the craft you described, but I understand the feeling of messing up! Thanks for sharing!
Response: Thanks for the heart. I'm glad you liked the kitty. See you around the swaps. :)
Comment: I received your "pass and paste postcard" today. This is my first time participating in one of these swaps, too. I love all the things you included. I am amazed by all the Christmas stamps! I will definitely be using them and the ATC cards for future crafting/swap projects. Thanks so much! 😊❤
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. It made me want to eat some enchilidas - lol. 😄 After receiving your postcard I read your profile. Your right, we do have quite a bit in common. Maybe we can set up a private swap soon. By the way, I have made enchilidas a few times in my life. I think I will make them again soon. 😉❤
Comment: Thank you for the parrot PC. Yes! Love them and Arizona has my favorite little birds. Quails! My best friend is from Globe/Miami area and they are all over up there. I love saguaros💕💕💕having birds nesting in them must be a pretty sight!
Comment: I am so sorry to be rating so late but I was in Texas and had a lot to go through when I got back! Your card of ornaments is so very pretty and I the vintage stamps. Thank you so much. I hope you have a lovely Christmas!
Comment: Margaret, thank you so much for the holiday postcard. Being in the southern part of Indiana, we sometimes don't even get 14 days of snow; most of the winter it's dreary gray days or even yucky wet days. I kind of like to look out and see a white blanket covering all the lawns... Merry Christmas and happy swapping!
Comment: Hi Margaret! Thank you for the bird postcard! I haven't seen temps here in the 70's since early last month. Our high today is 45 - but that is to be expected here in New England! I am having a wonderful Autumn season, I love it!
Response: Thanks for the heart. Much appreciated. I had fun making that postcard and I'm glad that you liked it. Happy swapping
Comment: Thanks for the biggie Chunk! I might have to try audio books. Sounds like FUN! Do you read Janet Evanovich? I highly recommend the Stephanie PLUM series. You will find yourself laughing out loud! Happy fall!
Response: Thanks for the heart. I read Evanovich for a few years, but lately I haven't read her stuff. A few of the female mystery writers just lost me. I may have to pick the Stephanie books back up again. Happy swapping.
Comment: those are cool looking birds on the card...I don't think we have any up here in Alaska. Or atleast this part of the state. Did see some in Washington though...cute little buggers :) Thank you for the great card !
Comment: I’m still trying to figure it out...lol...🤔 I’ll communicate again when I think I have everything figured out. So far I get...hot weather and flies...???🤓foreign travel...???green plants...???something purchased at an again store or ordered online???🤗
Comment: Loved to read your introduction in Spanish! Great job :-) And beautiful handmade postcard and thank you so much for a pretty envelope (full of amazing stamps) and all the goodies you sent. The postcard is sweet and is not missing any elements at all!! And those nautical stamps are beautiful (in queue to be re-purposed). Great swap Margaret (please rate my pending swap from last year, please ♥♥)
Comment: Thanks so much for the cool ad card! Yes, I love to read, and I will have to try this author. I love how the stamps look on the postcard! I hope none gets to travel the world as well. Love the leaping pig!
Comment: Thanks for the cool Christmas stamps from different countries, think I'll make a couple of ATCs! I'm missing Arizona hugely right now (just moved from Tucson 11 mos ago...), enjoy the sunshine!
Response: I’m glad that you liked the stamps. I enjoy 1) sharing the wealth and 2) making the most of my postage. Get my $$$’s worth from USPS. Have a great holiday.
Comment: Love the "World of Dogs" PC!! Great use of ephemera, and an excellent Mark Twain quote too (I have a fondness for my fellow November30an :D)! Sending a chin-scratch to your good-ol-boy Vader :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome green postcard. Looking at all the pictures made me very hungry! I love the rain here, especially if I can stay inside all day and read or make art. After reading your note, I now have that Kermit song stuck in my head, ha ha! Happy Swapping, Penelope
Response: Thanks for the heart. I enjoyed making the card. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks for the great stamps postcard. I sure hope your quote will come true very soon.
Response: oh my gosh; I just realized that I never marked this swap as sent!!! I've never done that before. Thanks for the heart. Boy, what a poor swapper I am!!! As for the quote: that makes two of us!!!
Comment: Fantastic postcard, the star of my mailbox today by a long shot! I love each of the postage stamp series you feature on the card - perfection. And the cheeky quote by Gracie Allen is the icing on the cake. Many thanks!
Comment: Hi Margaret! Oh my goodness! The Splendid Fairywren has to be the most adorable bird ever! Thank you so much for this cute postcard and the Camus quote. I love that quote! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Happy Swapping! Valerie
Comment: What a fun postcard! I wish I got more opportunities to get neato handmade ones like this. Spring's here and it's glorious, but it's pretty short- into summer before too long, alas. Have a lovely day!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cool card! I'm glad that you have had such a great experience on swap-bot, to many more wonderful swaps!
(ps. the post office did a real number on the poor card, I received it all taped back together!)
Comment: Thanks a bunch for the cute quails, Margaret! Reminds me of the time we were camping and my friend laid a trail of seed for the quails, which led them right into our cast iron frying pan. It was just for show, but it made a great photo. LOL!
Comment: Hi Margaret, I'm sorry it took me so long to rate you, I received it last week. It's so lovely, the washi, the stamps and stickers...awesome. I really love it! "stuck in the middle with you" haha..re: west van/port angeles...have a great summer, I'm wishing lots of happy snail mail coming your way, take care :) xx
Comment: LOVE this PC! Looks like you might have the same Star Wars Postcard Book I have too! :) I hope you had a great 4th. I have only been to Phoenix once - my friend lives there with his family and he comes to CA often, while I have only visited him once in twenty years. *sigh* Have a great day!
Response: I think several of us all exchanged cards from that book; but, since we're all fans.... It's all good, yes?!? Happy swspping & thanks for the heart
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful purple flower postcard. I love it so much! Thank you so much for your kind comments about my city and any time you would like to trade places let me know. I loved the dessert when I was in Las Vegas...lol
Response: Thanks for the heart; I'm glad you liked the card.
Comment: Thanks! A couple of damaged stamps here, and I have had one of the bags with me before =/
Response: Sorry about the previous bag. I thought I managed to screen out all the bags with your name on them. I have about 7 bags right now that you've been in or started. I'll be more careful in the future and will watch for damaged stamps as well.
Comment: Fun post card! Thanks! I've never been to Arizona but I hear it can be extremely warm there. Being from Washington I'm used to very mild weather and think I would just melt in an Arizona summer.
Response: I've lived in Washington (for a brief time) and must say I prefer the desert. I prefer to hunker down in the summer (like a lizard) and be more active in what passes for our winter!! Happy swapping.
Comment: Did you read my profile or something? I collect ATC with stamps on them so this one will have a permanent place in my binder! Thanks a ton!
Response: I do try to read profiles and make ATC's that will be keepers. I'm happy that you liked this one. My adult daughter almost didn't let me send the 2 Map ATC's; she liked them both a lot. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Margaret, I LOVE your postcard! How creative! I had no idea the Queen came in so many colors. LOL Thanks for the card and note. I look forward to many more swaps together :)
Response: I'm glad you liked the card; there are MANY more colors for QE II. One of these days I'm going to just make a straight collage care rather than a grid. We'll see what inspiration brings in the future. And, see you around the swaps. :)
Comment: I loved the alien! Great postcard and made me smile. Thank you. :D xo
Response: I'm glad you liked the postcard. It's the 2nd that I've made with the Alien. I've decided on a whole series of altered postcards and the places he'll visit. Thanks for the encouragement!!! :)
Comment: Thanks you so much, I enjoyed the pages you sent.
Old fashioned receipes, Alice in Wonderland (I guess?) and some Russian and German.
I can't read any Russian, do you? It's a mystery to me. But the German text wasn't any problem to me. Nowadays it seems to be a hilarious one. Where did you find it?
Response: The German text is from an old medical book I found in a used book store here in Arizona. I've sent various pages from it to folks all over. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And no, I don't read any Russian either. I'm limited to the Latin alphabet. :) Thanks for the heart. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks so much for making such a great card based on my profile. I love it!! All the best to you~
Response: I'm glad that you liked it; it's fun to be able to make something that both satisfies the artist's need to create as well as the recipient's interest. Plus I hadn't realized that the stamp I used for the background would fit an ATC!!! More bang for the buck with that stamp!!! See you around the swaps.
Comment: Hi Margaret - Thank you for the postcard! Your note had my mouth watering for what I love too. I love chips and salsa and bonus if I were enjoying that on an outdoor patio under an umbrella table and relaxing chairs :) Hope you are enjoying your week! Thanks again...........
Response: Thanks for the heart; I'm happy to have sparked your imagination!! Happy swapping.
Comment: You definitely have the "feel" for collage!! I LOVE the postcard that you created. The washi tape, stamp and stamp ephemera, and the collage of map and bird.. Truly a work of art!! It will be on my studio wall forever. Thank you
Comment: Hi Margaret, many thanks for your package. It was nice to see the Finnish bus on the ATC, I really like that postage stamp and especially the scenery in the background of the picture in it. And the extra stamps are great, so many Queen's heads that are new to me :-) and of course the funny cat!
Response: I'm glad you liked the ATC. Sometimes I'm afraid to send art with stamps from the same country. It's like sending ice cubes to Eskimos or coal to Newcastle. Do I'm glad you liked it as well as the extras. See you around the swaps. 😀
Comment: Oh thank you for the lovely owl stamp card l never seen postage stamps of owls very nice and thanks for the extras too they are just lovely and for the dragonfly he is going in a special place
Comment: Guess what came in the mail today? Yay :) I absolutely love your ATC - it's going up on my inspiration board. Thank you for the extra ATC (it's lovely) and the used stamps. A fantastic swap from a great partner :)
Response: I'm glad the envelope finally arrived. I was actually starting to get a little worried. And I'm glad you liked the ATC. I enjoyed making it for you. See you around the swaps!! :)
Comment: Thanks for the gorgeous card and matching envelope. The gingerbread man ATC is so neat! I LOVE it! The design of a gingerbread man. Did you draw it? So detailed! I love the embossed paper as well. Happy 2015!
Response: The gingerbread man is a Tim Holtz stamp -- I'm NOT that talented of an artist/drawer!!! I'm glad you liked the ATC. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card Margaret, and also the extras in the envelope - very kind of you. It arrived today - Christmas Eve.
Have a great Christmas and New Year and all the best for 2015
Response: Deb, I'm glad you liked the ATC. I almost didn't want to swap it, but like your children you need to let your art babies go. Happy New Year to you as well.
Comment: Thanks for your beautiful ATC. I do celebrate Christmas, but don't like a lot of the kitsch that's being made and sold around Christmas. Your ATC is NOT kitsch, but really nice. And I love all the used stamps you added, thanks a lot!
Comment: Margaret great ATC! and thank you so much for the stamps, didn't have any of them (hooray!) and the washi tape.
Yes, Thanksgiving was nice & quiet (it's only my two sons & me) with a lot of food. Thank God.
Comment: Margaret thank you for handmaking a Christmas card for me & one I can use as a card to send on in a swap. Thank you for the extras of used postage stamps you selected for me of Christmas - themed stamps! Happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: Thank you for your lovely card and your warm greetings for me! :D My first postcard from Arizona˜<3 Arizona desert has so many cactus! :D I guess when you say UAE desert all I can think of is orange red-ish dunes of sand! haha :)
Comment: Thank you!!! your bags are cool, but a little suggestion for you to add a little bit more stamps when the bag starts to pass aliong^^
Response: Thanks; after I received MY first stamp bags, I realized that I didn't put enough stamps in the first envelopes which I sent out. Newbie mistake. Thanks for the 5 rating in spite of that error.
Comment: You sent a lovely ATC. Simple but really pretty. Thank you for the ATC. I don't collect stamps. It is no where in my profile so I'm not sure why you would send them?? lol
Response: Tia, I love using stamps in my crafting and thought you might enjoy playing with them. Pass them along if you'd like. Some of my favorite ATC's are stamp heads. Put a stamp head on a different body; lots of fun. Happy swapping.
Comment: Thanks Margaret! Yes, I love the little Quail in AZ. There was a lot near where we lived in Mesa too. I would see them on the way to the mailbox. Thanks for the funny Quote! I hadn't heard that about Taco Bell before. Thanks for the laugh! :)
Response: Thanks for the heart and for hosting fun swaps.
Comment: Margaret thank you for the Arizona map postcard you sent to me for the swap. Thought it was funny about feeding ice cubes to chickens to prevent hard-boiled eggs! Feels hot enough for that here. Poor chickens!
Response: I'm glad you liked the card & saying; thanks too for the heart.
